Other Stuff...

We'll be headed down south to watch the Super Bowl and pig out at my brothers house today. I'm just hoping for a good game.

Looking forward to the Pistons/Cavs game, hopefully the Pistons can continue their winning ways.

Enough about me, what's up with you?

What's Up?

I'm going to head over to my brothers house right before halftime, he only lives 5 minutes away. It's too cold to be taking the kids out so I'm going solo to the Superbowl Party.

My prediction: Bears 30, Colts 27
I think that with the rain in Miami today/tonight, it could be the deciding factor.

QOTD: Brian Urlacher

That EB article was really good, Steve. I would always give customers my honest opinion on games and systems, and if I hadn't played the game, I would simply tell that I haven't played it and have no idea if it's good or bad. When we got our new manager (November I think, I started in August), he got on my case for it, and told me to lie to customers because our job was to "rob them blindly", so after my coworkers and I tried to get him fired (he did numerous things wrong, and should have been fired), he cut my hours to about 6 hours a week (he probably wanted to fire me, but needed an actual reason, since I did everything I was supposed to), which eventually led me to quit in December. I still went back to that store because of the 2 other coworkers who I liked, but they just quit last week, so I won't shop there anymore after I pick up Crackdown which I preordered.

I can't wait to pick up Crackdown and then tell the manager to kiss my ****ing ***. I hate that guy with a passion, I would still be working at EB if he wasn't there.

I need to find a new place to buy games now.

What is so sad, everything that the guy posted holds true going back to '97-'99 when I was an Asst. Mgr at EB. Except then we were still able to check out games and didn't have to lie if a game was good/bad. Their business practices are shaddy now and they have been since only god know when if you ask me.

They would fire people for no reason at times which is a shame.

Pretty much.

I find it hilarious though, that his 3 best employees have quit on him (myself and the 2 that quit last week), and now he has to scramble to find other people to work with him. Part timers who were hired for the holiday season would quit after a week because they didn't like him at all.

He's such a douchebag, he basically hires 18 year old girls and tries to take them out to lunch and stuff, it's disturbing (considering he's probably 30).

Yeah, when our new manager came in, he said no more checking out games, but before him, we were able to check out games.

QOTD: Peyton Manning

I had wanted to have a few friends over to watch the game but one had his in-laws coming to town this weekend and another decided to watch the game with his Dad. I figured I'd be alone, but at the last minute my wife invited her sister and family over. I get along well with my brother-in-law, so it'll be nice to have the company.
