UEFA Champions League 2006-2007 Screenshots (360)

Xboxyde has posted some screenshots of UEFA Champions League 2006-2007.
"EA Sports released these 20 images of the very promising UEFA Champions League 2006-2007 for Xbox 360. Football fans should be happy with these graphics!"

Winning Post 7 Maximum 2007 Coming Soon (PS2, PS3)

PSX Extreme has the scoop.
"Horse racing is ever on the rise (Rest in Peace, Barbaro), and now, Sony is bringing the fast-paced event to their next-gen console in the form of Winning Post 7 Maximum 2007. Developed by Koei, it's an update to Winning Post 7, and will be available for both the PS2 and PS3 in Japan on March 29."

N-Europe Update (Wii)

N-Europe has posted the following:
  • Tiger Woods 07 Box Art
"Tiger Woods may be getting on a bit, but his golf outings still appeal to many."
  • Punch-out Reborn?
"Could a new Punch-out title be in the works for Wii?

Wii Boxing was an excellent example of another sports game that could easily be made 'more accessible' using the Wiimote. Although it wasn't as accurate as it could be, it is paving the way for future titles of this type."

Test Drive Unlimited Preview (PC)

Fragland has posted their preview of Test Drive Unlimited.
"And speaking about the cars, they handle pretty good for a game that doesn't pretend it's a superrealistic racing simulator. Not that I can compare with their real life counterparts, but when you put the pedal to the metal with a 700bhp monster under the trunk you it to go fast, really fast. You'll have to be carefull not to hit traffic though because there are some people in uniform on the island that will not hesitate to take some of that hard earned money off your hands if you do."

Eurogamer Update (Next-Gen)

Eurogamer has posted the following:
  • Def Jam: Icon Demo This Week
"Due out on Thursday, the demo offers a single-player bout featuring Bio Boi from Outkast and T.I., and takes place in a petrol station, apparently."
  • Colin McRae: DIRT Will Push Next-Gen
"Colin McRae: DIRT will push next-gen systems in ways we've not yet seen, executive producer Gavin Raeburn has told Eurogamer, and it's all thanks to the newly designed "Neon" engine. "CMR 3, 4 and 5 were little more than extensions of the PS1 code base," he told us. "DIRT has all new and visually stunning engine that is pushing next-gen hardware to the max right from the off. The damage, particle effects, post-production, car physics, car audio and AI are all far in advance of anything we have yet seen on next gen."

Other Stuff...

What a bummer, we have yet another scrimmage tonight, instead of actually playing the first game of the season. There was a snow/make up day for the referees of our league and they can't make it, so...in turn, we'll be making up the game at the end of the season. Oh well, guess I have to just wait until Thursday for the season to start.

Me, Nat and my wife went to get a few more pictures last night. Nat just turned 5 about a week ago, so we are getting her "5" pictures done. We had a few done last week, but we scheduled another reshoot, because Nat wasn't feelin' it. She was faking smiles and didn't want to be there. Last night she smiled quite a bit, so we'll be weeding through which ones we want to purchase. Man, she is growing like a weed!

Enough about me, what's up with you?
  • QOTD: How old were you when you played your first video game?

Happy Birthday to the following OS'ers!

Les Claypool, BigBadB (32), AirLobo23 (31), cataldz (25), Von Dozier (19), LAX4531 (17)

What's up?

Snowing again here...cold....we're in Antarctica I think.

Picked up XM Radio yesterday, love it so far. Now I see what I've been missing.

QOTD - I got into videogames when I was 4 and got an Atari 2600 for Christmas. I played River Raid all day.

I think I was about 7 and it was Pong w/ my brother and some ladies house. I didn't want to leave that ladies house.

XM radio huh? What made you go that route instead of Sirius? Curious, because I really haven't researched either one and I'm thinking about getting it eventually.

I believe I was 8, my father bought me a TI99a(I think that was the model). It was Texas Instrument home computer that you hooked up to the TV. There was a football game that he also bought with it that I played for hours.

Feeling a little under the weather today so I stayed home from work. I think its one of them 24hr deals so I should be fine to go back tomorrow. I think I will watch some movies and play more of my UK legacy in Hoops 2k7.

Mornin'... cold here, with some snow possibly by Thursday evening.. celebrated the g/f's b-day last night.. went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner, then to a movie.. lucky for me she liked her presents.. My parents tried to call me from their trip during the movie, so oops.. Extreme, congrats on finally getting XM.. which one did you get? I love mine - get to use it in my house, car, & as a portable unit (never really do though).. Baseball in the summer is just great to listen to!

Qotd.. do not really know my "age per say".. if I had to guess, it would have been around 11-12 with the ColecoVision (then got the Atari adaptor).. many a good hr was played on that machine..

XM seems to have more channels, plus they have the MLB/NHL package (also I am a big, BIIG fan of O & A).. XM seems to get the better signal, & in my apartment does not seem to lose it (I have the antenna facing through a wall).. Sirus has NBA/NFL (plus Hoo Hoo), but I have many issues with it, such as losing signals during the day..

Man, I heard about those TI's growing up and a few of my friends had it, but I never got around to going to their house to play it and I never did get one. Hell, I don't even know what they look like, lol.

How is the Cheesecake Factory? I've heard of the place, but never had the urge to go.

Hoo Hoo?

So you've had both huh? What about the actual music, do they both have the same channels for the music end? I'm guessing Stern is on Sirius for compeition w/ O&A? I hear Stern sucks since the switch, anyone listen?

yeah, Howard is not the same.. actually very rarely listen to him at all..

Xm has a few more country channels, but basically they are laid out the same way.. of course, each has their own "stars" hosting shows (Sirus has an "Emimem" chanel, Xm has Bob Dylan (for example). One thing I like about Sirus is that they have a "Hair Nation" station -for the 80's groups..

I loathe that place. Everyone talks about how it's so good, but it's really not that good.

Not much going on with me today, I have consumer math (which I'm dropping within the week to become a teacher aide) and photo. It's supposed to rain today, which is awesome because I love the rain, but right now at 7:22, it's clean and sunny, so once again I think the weatherman has no clue what he's talking about.

For the QOTD, I'm not sure of my exact age, but I think I first played Duck Hunt at my cousin's house, and then I got a SNES and it just kept going from there.

QOTD: Being older my first video game was Pong in the arcades. When I was 15 my Dad bought the Heathkit Pong game.

Whats up is that I got my taxes done and filed last night. I used TaxAct Online for the first time and I liked it. Great price too. Only $16 for Fed and State and it included efiling for both. We're getting a nice refund which my wife has already spent in her mind 5 times over.

Em hosts his on Sirius channel? That's pretty sweet, I didn't know that.

What was so bad about it? I mean, I guess it's not just cheesecake they are selling in there, right?

I have no idea why you like rain so much. I'm glad to hear the weathermen are just as reliable where you live.

LOL, already done w/ the taxes huh? I think I'm still waiting for a few forms to get to me. Don't they have until the 31st to get them all to you or is it another "official" date?

XM has The Boneyard for 80's hairbands, I have it on right now, channel 41

XM was it for me for baseball, O&A and just the selection of music.

I picked up the Xpress, but seriously considering taking it back for the Inno.

It's really pricey (atleast for me, being a 17 year old) and I'm a pretty picky eater, so I didn't really find a lot of things on their menu that I liked.

Rain's very refreshing, Steve.

Oh, you'll like the weatherman's name. Dallas Raines. I can never take him seriously with a name like that.

The wife and I went out last night for her birthday. I took her to a fondue restaurant in Greensboro, like I said yesterday. I swear, I could live off of the cheese fondue appetizers and the chocolate fondue desert. SO good! She loves what I bought her for her b-day. I got her a bluetooth headset for her cellphone and Season 6 of Friends (she already has seasons 1-5).

Well, wish me luck tomorrow guys. I have to take my mom in for surgery. She says it's nothing major but anytime a scalpel is involved, I get nervous. I'm not exactly sure what they're doing, but whatever it is, she's going to be out of work for a month to recover. All she'll tell me is that it's a female thing.

Anyway, I'll be at the hospital all day tomorrow. I'll be bringing my laptop so I'll have something to do. Hopefully the hospital has Wi-Fi or something.

EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot the question of the day. My first gaming was with a Pong home TV setup my dad had. It was a big clunky wood paneled looking thing that played Pong and only Pong. It had two dials on it, one for each side. I think you could play a 1 player game too, but you hooked it up to your TV and away you went!

The first console I ever owned was an Atari 5200 - after it had already been discontinued. What made that great was that games were on sale at Toys'R'Us for like...$3-$5 each!

Sitting in some training program now and should be paying attention. Oh well...better than teaching today. I am on my 4th 360 and the latest one is the best so far. Hopefully it stays that way.

QOTD-I think I was 4 or 5 with Atari (and every system to follow) and my beloved Commodore 64.

# 20 The GIGGAS @ 01/30/07 12:26 PM
QOTD: Super Mario Bros., NES, Christmas Day when I was 5.

What a great day.
