NHL 07 Q&A With David Littman

ConsoleSports has posted a Q&A session with NHL 07 Producer David Littman.
ConsoleSports: "What aspects of the game do you wish you had done differently or had more time to work with?"
David: "The frustrations that the community and reviewers feel with NHL 07 on the 360 are the same ones that I feel and that the entire dev team feels. We only had so much time to build a game on [what was to us] a brand new system, and we could not get to everything we would have liked, or tune the game for as long as we would have liked."

MVP 07 NCAA Baseball Screenshots (PS2)

SportsGamer has posted some screenshots of MVP 07 NCAA Baseball.
"With little more than a week away until release of MVP 07 NCAA Baseball (PS2) here are some new screenshots courtesy of EA Sports from the first baseball game to hit the market this year."

NBA Street Homecourt Demo Coming Soon (360)

360Monster has the scoop.
"EA BIG today announced that they will be slam dunking a playable demo of NBA Street Homecourt onto the Xbox 360 Marketplace at the beginning of February.

The full game promises a large selection of NBA stars, as well as old-style legends and a selection of "STREET" characters. NBA Street Homecourt will be running on a new graphics engine, and so we've got some brand new screenshots for you to look at as well."

Other Stuff...

How was everyone's weekend? I had to fix a spout problem in the bathroom, setup my daughter's keyboard stand and chair, organize my gaming/study room and study for part 1 of my 2003 MCSE test. Surprisingly, everything went well and as planned. I got a lot of studying in over the weekend, which was surprising, to say the least. I hope to take test #1 by mid-February.

In between all of that, I never had the time to open the Wii, imagine that. I did get to watch the Pistons beat the Pacers last night. Webber is really looking good out there. He's still a little slow, but his passing and rebounding is helping out tremendously. Can't wait for them to get revenge on the Wizards Tuesday. Did I mention how much I hate the Wiz?

BTW, I've removed the "What's Up?" from the title bar, I suppose everyone that is a regular reader of this mini-blog will know it's in the morning update. Not sure how long I'll be doing this, the QOTD may make its return.

Speaking of QOTD, how about this one. Are you upgrading to Windows Vista? If not, what Operating System are you running on? OK, it's a 2-parter, but who's counting...

Enough about me, what's up with you?

Happy Birthday to the following OS'ers!

What's up...

I have no plans on getting Vista, when I buy a new PC again, it'll have Vista in it, so I'll upgrade at that point. Now, I don't see the point in doing it. I currently have XP on both of my PC's...

It's so cold today, the wife didn't have school today, so she's laying in bed. I really should have been a teacher LOL.

Steve, I forget, are you a Wizards fan? Just asking

I just looked out my window at work, and once again, it's snowing like crazy. Definitely should have stayed home

You mean they actually close schools because of how cold it is? Not the roads, but how cold it is?!?!?! Wow, it must be cold, haha.

As for Vista, I have it installed at home. I like some things about it, but early drivers make it a pain. It should be decent in about 6 months, lol.

Well, the snow played a factor in it as well, we have about 8 inches, and where she teaches they have like 13 inches. But with wind chill, it was -3 this morning.

I got a laptop for Christmas and included is a free upgrade to Vista. I filled out the form online last night and it should be shipping today. Not really sure if I'm going to install it or not, but it's nice to have options.

Whats up? It like 10 here and the wind is howling. It's brutal outside. Plus I woke up late and didn't get a chance to warm up my car. Needless to say, it was a frigid ride to work.

Jeez, that is insane.

So far, we've been pretty lucky w/ the snow. Not sure what the weathermen around here are lying about for this week, but I'll wait and find out what we get.

What's up?

Good weekend despite the snow and cold and am definitely thinking spring. I am FINALLY on Xbox live and I love it. I have been downloading anything and everything for free and want to buy dozens of games because of the demo. Enjoyed Crosby's goal while sitting on the ice this weekend as well as going out with my friends. No classes today due to my schedule but will unfortunately be working on a paper for my 9:30 tomorrow morning. Running on no sleep because of poker, ping pong, and 360 taking over my life last night.

Are you talking about this one?

I don't follow hockey too much, but that was an amazing goal.

Had a good weekend myself, got in some game time, the wife works at the hospital and she was on call all weekend.

Big week ahead this week. Going back to the gym tonight after work, and I also have to start gathering my little league team together. We are moving up to a competitive league this year. Most of the kids are ones that wouldnt normally play ball in this league. But me and the director of the boys and girls club out here are trying to get them more exposure to the game. So i have to hit the fundraising and sponsorship trail starting this week so we can get all the stuff we need to make it.

Well, I will NOT be upgrading to Windows Vista due to the fact that I have a Mac and prefer Mac OS X than the Windows OS.

I knew someone would eventually chime in w/ that one.

What's up? Back to work here. Weather is not too bad in NY suburbs, about 30 out....No snow yet. I definitely will not upgrade to Vista until I buy a new computer.

Weekend was alright--It's always weird without any football on a winter sunday. Saturday, I did a few things around the house, cleaned my office/gaming room, changed some of the kitchen cabinet hardware and got a little gaming in. Sunday was a different story. My nephew's 3rd birthday party (the in-laws) was insane. My wife's family are good people, but they are crazy and everything is a problem, issue, fight. I just sit there with my brother-in-law, who also married into the madness, and have a few beers while we watch the madness flow.

LOL! I was just about to jump in with my OSX comment as well.

I use Macs at work and at home. I have a quad here at work and one at home as well as an eMac for my GF's daughter and just got my GF a Mac Mini with a 20" CD. I also bought myself a MBP a couple of weeks ago and love it.

Made the switch several years ago ( I own an ad agency and Macs rule this world) and you couldnt PAY me to use a Windows machine!

Vista...lol.

Poor Microsoft.

QOTD: I have 3 PC's at home running Windows XP. I don't plan on upgrading to Vista on any of those machines. Like others said, I'll get Vista when I buy a new PC. Since my gaming shifted to the console I'm not upgrading my PC like I used to.

Whats up with me is that I'm looking forward to vacation. Two months from today we are going to Disneyworld. Three years ago we bought a Disney time share (DVC) since its our favorite vacation spot. The last 2 trips we did all Disney parks. This year we'll be checking out Universal Studios for the first time in a long time. I was last there about 12 years ago with my wife only.

Oh man, the ending to the Royal Rumble was incredible last night. HBK vs. Undertaker to end it...and I loved the fact that they let them go at it for a while before someone was eliminated. We had some friends over to watch it last night, had a great time. The wife made some homemade meatball subs for everyone, plus we had the usual party fare, chips, dip, beers, stuff like that.

Tonight, we're going out for my wife's birthday. I'm taking her to a fondue restaurant in Greensboro. She loves that place.

A friend and I played a lot of Madden this weekend online, using the feature that lets you play against someone in their franchise mode. All the games were in his franchise, and I'm proud to say I put 3 notches in his L column over the weekend, while giving him only one W.

QOTD:
I'm not sure about Vista. The part of me that always wants the latest and greatest is really wanting to go out and get it tomorrow. The sensible part of me wants to wait until the next time I buy a PC before getting it. I dunno...I'll probably wind up buying it, damnit.

The thing is, I would love to run OSX and Mac in general but the game support just isn't there for me. It's a pain to have to upgrade every development cycle to keep up with the PC (now it's DX10) but in the long run I love computer gaming too much to give over to complete console control.

Having said that, I will wait until the first SP comes out later this year to upgrade to Vista. I will spend this spring and summer saving some money to upgrade everything in my system (motherboard, processor, graphics card, memory) beforehand because I'm really scared of that new EULA built in. With XP, every time I did an upgrade I had to call to reactivate, and I have a feeling that's not going to fly as easily with Vista. I've been an AMD guy for a long time, but I'm thinking of switching over to Intel when I upgrade for the Core 2 Duo. Anyone running that, and if you are, how do you like it?

In a perfect world, I would have a Mac for all of my day to day stuff and a rockin' PC for games. Unfortunately, there's just too many other toys to be able to afford that.

LOL! I don't speak spanish, but I find it funny when I go to my wife's family, that is all I hear, arguing and bickering. They are a very close family, as most spanish families are. They are very nice, but I find it comical to hear them going back and forth every time I see them.

eMac? What is that, like an "Econical version?".

I need to get a Mac one of these days, just to see what all the hub-bub is. Did I just say hub-bub?

Sounds like a great time is coming up for you and the family. I'd love to check out Universal Studios one of these years. Probably when Nat is a little older and can appreciate it more.

Yeah, that's me. I always want the latest and greatest. I've been running Vista for a few weeks at home and other than a few driver issues, it seems fine to me. Just can't sync my damn treo to Outlook 2007.
