New Rally-X on XBLA (360)

Eurogamer has the scoop.
"Rally driving doesn't wait for anybody, not even Jesus. So, while we were indulging in the Christmas festivities, retro-heads at Microsoft squeezed this 1981 classic online.

Released on 27th December for 400 Microsoft points, New Rally-X lets you turn back the years and enjoy its Pac-Man inspired gaming in glitzy HD."

Xpand Rally Xtreme Demo Available (PC)

Fragland has posted a demo of Xpand Rally Xtreme.
"The demo contains two single player racing tracks with both the arcade and simulation modes enabled. Malaysia will give you the opportunity to test your car's handling on asphalt and gravel, while sliding through grooves, making long jumps and maxing out on long straights. Italy is a technically demanding track. Huge and rapid altitude changes, narrow roads and multiple curves require attention and supreme car handling skills. Banal mistakes will cause hitting roadside rocks, walls and other objects. You'll also find two vehicles to choose from. You're free to tune them and change their skins as you see fit. Each car can be set individually for every race track."

Virtua Tennis 3 Preview (PS3)

PSX Extreme has posted their preview of Virtua Tennis 3.
"As far as control is concerned, as we said, donít expect much in the way of depth or complexity. Three face buttons will be used to determine each stroke (we assume top-spin, slice, and lob), and as before, holding the button down longer will increase the power. If youíre late on a command or simply have a brain-fade and forget to choose a stroke, the game will automatically choose one for you, depending on the situation. So even if youíre too late on that overhead, the computer should execute the correct play, anyway. In addition, it seems momentum will greatly impact your ultimate success (the Top Spin games had something like this), as the higher the momentum, the more focused your player becomes. Itís a good idea Ė those who play the game know that "getting in a groove" can really help Ė but we just hope they donít overemphasize the feature. For example, itíd be pretty silly if our professional tennis player missed half the time until his momentum filled."

What's Up?

So, my daughter is all about Play-doh nowadays. She made her own SpongeBob Squarepants last night. It is amazing how creative kids are at such an early age.

I'll hopefully have the time to take down the Christmas tree tonight, I had to get a new suit for a graduation party on Saturday. I needed one anyways, it's been so long since I've worn one. I never feel right wearing them, not sure why that is.

Maybe it's just me, but I found AI and the Nuggets losing to the 6'ers last night, extremely funny.

Enough about me, what's up with you?

WUZ UP?!

We're going to start taking down the Christmas decorations tonight and finish on Saturday. We have 2 trees, a big real one and a 7 1/2 foot fake one, the real one is more of a pain to take down due to it's needles...ugh

Other than that, it's going to be a quiet 3 day work week and a relaxing weekend. I've been off 2 weeks, coming back today, after 10 minutes, it feels like I never left.

I really need to hit the lottery....and play the lottery.

Well, I wasn't tired at all last night/this morning, so I decided I wouldn't force myself to go to sleep around 4 am, so I haven't gone to sleep yet, I think I'm gonna get my sleep schedule back to normal and stay up all day, and get to bed earlier tonight.

I finally got myself a new copy of FIFA 07, my old copy would mess up atleast once a day with the "Disc is unreadable" error, which was weird, because the disc wasn't scratched at all. But now my copy works fine, and I've pretty much been playing FIFA all night.

I'm excited for the Notre Dame/LSU game, I'm hoping the Tigers pound Brady Quinn.

I have a cold. Haven't slept well. Haven't eaten in a day and a half. Haven't been to the gym since Saturday. And I'm back at work again. Needless to say... I'm crabby as hell.

That is all.

I too have a freakin cold, but I'm as happy as I can be this morning. So far, I'm enjoying 2007 greatly. Stayed up and talked to a new girl last night for a few hours. I knew this girl from back in the day,but we never really talked because she was 3 years younger. Come to find out, we share a lot of the same views and are quite similar. Needless to say, we're going out dancing this weekend and hitting some clubs.

In other news, Clay, read the "weirdest ways to die" up in Steve's post... at least you aren't the guy who had the tortoise dropped on your head, lol.

I wonder if TJ dances.

Maybe that's another one of his special gifts.

Whats Up??

Well I've slacked off my new game room the last few days because of the holidays and now I'm pressed for time.

Carpet is waiting on the heat to be installed, heat is waiting on the room to be finished painted and the painting is waiting on me.

Hopefully this evening after work and gym I can get the bulk of it done and get the ball rolling again to a hopefully finished game room within 2 weeks.

Then I can pick out a new tv and sound system.

Family is doing good with the exception of recently my daughters seem to think it's cool to be more forcefull in their back talk and "rebellion" ways.
My oldest is getting ready to turn 13. Dang the time goes by fast.

One of the things I like about being married is not having to be out there dating. It can be fun, but now its just one less thing to worry about. I was on the phone with the wife for a bit this morning. Now that our kids are in school full day, she is making the transition from being a stay at home Mom to working outside the home. For the last several years she has been running a little daycare business at home which worked out real well. Then last year she started working as a substitite teachers aide in addition to a few kids she still watches part time at home. Today she told me she wants to do the teachers aide work full time and found out there is a position available where she works in the Fall.
