Burnout 5 to Feature "Verisimilitude Crashes" (360)

360Monster has the scoop.
"Criterion's Director of Design, Alex Ward, has confirmed that, in a huge change for the series, Burnout 5's "unique selling point" will be it's awesomely realistic crashes. Speaking to Newsweek, Ward stated:
"The first crash you see on PlayStation 3 has got to go way beyond everything you've ever seen, beyond anything that we've ever done because every time we put our game out, people say, 'It's the best crashes ever in a game.' We've got to go beyond that now."

Video Games, Foreign Players Hit Soccer in Britain

Yahoo! News has the article.
"Foreign players, video games and a lack of coaching are behind the current shortage of young talent in British soccer, national managers agreed on Tuesday.

England's Steve McClaren, Northern Ireland's Lawrie Sanchez, John Toshack of Wales and Scotland's Walter Smith called for more facilities and better coaching for Britain's youngsters if they are to make a career at the top.

Sanchez said: "When Northern Ireland qualified for the World Cup in 1986, they could name 15 or 20 players in the top level of English football (soccer). At this moment, I've got four players and they don't play all the time in their first teams."

F1 Championship Edition Screenshots (PS3)

Kotaku has posted some screenshots of F1 Championship Edition.
"Looking at screens of F1 Championship Edition for the PlayStation 3 gives me the feeling of looking at a real Formula One car. Oh, by no means am I saying that this game is photorealistic. But it's sleek, shiny, and I know I'll never ever touch it. I require a little more futuristic hovercar in my driving games."

GT Pro Series Movie Clip (Wii)

GameTrailers have posted a movie clip from GT Pro Series.
"Owners of the Nintendo Wii who want a little more realism in their racing games should definitely give this one a look."

Question of the Day

What are you up to this weekend?

Well, I'll be the big 3-5 tomorrow, so I'll be heading down south to visit my folks. Have a little cake and ice cream and hopefully enjoy a Cowboy victory. Other than that, making a final decision on some new cabinets in the kitchen.

Well my new job requires me to work Sat so my new weekend is Sun and Monday, I guess Ill have to get used to it.

Sat night having a Holiday dinner with my friends and Sunday might take a ride up to the Yankee Candle factory with the wife in Mass, we usually do this every year. That always puts me in the Xmas mood after leaving there.

Go Bills!!!!!!

Are you also going to Bed Bath and Beyond if there's enough time? Sounds like someone needs to get in touch with their inner beer bong.

I will be going to see John Heffron on Saturday with my extended family, then maybe hitting up bars with friends after.

QOTD:
I've got another piano recital tomorrow and once again I'm not prepared
Going to do all of my Christmas shopping this weekend to get that out of the way. I'll spend the rest of the weekend playing Rainbow 6 on 360 (almost finished), a little TP on the Wii and some Motorstorm (demo) on the PS3

My girlfriend got me a kick *** Batman action figure for Christmas. It's 13" tall and is extremely detailed. Its the Batman Begins figure. Anyways, i'm REALLY wanting to open it up now so i'm going to pump her full of alcohol tomorrow nite and try to talk her into letting me open it up early LOL!!

I'm 42 and still do childish things like this LOL!

Have a GREAT weekend everyone!
