The Song Remains The Same

5w-g has posted an article entitled, The Song Remains The Same.
"No, Iím not writing about octogenarian rockers. Iím writing about 2K Sports, who also keep playing the same song over and over again. That song is ďThe QA Bluesď, and it goes a little something like this Ö

Yesterday, I picked up College Hoops 2K7. Though I had sworn off the franchise due to year after year of buggy product, some friends were starting an online league and I didnít want to miss out. (The peer pressure introduced by Xbox Live is maybe Microsoftís biggest marketing weapon, at least where Iím concerned.) After a few games, I quickly found myself once again enjoying the best on-the-court gameplay any basketball game has ever offered. Verse One of that old song is that 2K Sports makes beautiful sims that capture their respective sports better than any other game on the market. I desperately want to play them, even for sports I donít necessarily follow in real life - like NCAA Basketball. Thereís excellent tempo, wonderful physics, inventive and detailed animations, and on and on. Itís quickly apparent that 2K Sports has once again delivered the gameplay goods."

Virtua Tennis 3 Gameplay Movie Clips (360, PS3)

Xboxyde and Playsyde have both posted some Virtua Tennis 3 Gameplay movie clips.
"Here is a short video of Virtua Tennis 3, which was also in Sega's PS3 showroom. Even if the ball's physics looked a bit weak sometimes, the game seemed like a huge leap over Top Spin 2."

Texas Hold Em Update Update Available (360)

360Monster has the scoop.
"Bad news for Arcade Wednesday fans hoping to catch a new game today. Word on the street is for today's Arcade dish of the day we will be tucking into Texas Hold Em updates. This FREE update addresses the community feedback that Microsoft have received since its release on the Xbox Live Arcade. Sadly there will be no Xbox Live Vision cam support with this update, but it is expected early next year."

I <3 Wii Madden

Kotaku has posted an article entitled, I <3 Wii Madden.
"I've never been a huge fan of Madden, not because of the game but more because of the topic. I'm just not that into watching sports and that translated, I think, into my not being that into playing video game versions of them either.

But I've always appreciated the technical aspects of the Electronic Arts game, the way the video game not only mimicked the real life version, but eventually influenced it.

So when I received Madden for the Wii I dumped it on my pile of games to play without much excitement."

Question of the Day

So, um...Any game(s) you're looking forward to?
