Forza Motorsport 2 Q&A (360)

Xboxyde has posted a Q&A session with Dan Greenawalt, Game Director of Turn10 Studios, as they talk about Forza Motorsport 2.
Xboxyde: "Whatís your approach to damage?"
Dan: "First and foremost Forzaís a simulator. And you really canít be a simulator without damage. Damage is a key part of racing Ė itís actually what keeps you honest, because if you donít have damage you just run into walls, and scrape along walls, and run into the AI, and run into the other players, thereís no reason not to do it. But in Forza weíve got damage, and itís very dynamic, itís very exciting. So youíll see bumpers flying off here. What weíve found in just testing the game, whatís been a lot of fun is, in every racing game online, at the first corner everyone piles into each other, it becomes this big explosion of, you know nothing, because nothing ever happens, they just go flying off the track. Well, we didnít necessarily plan it this way Ė we just wanted to make more dynamic damage by having bumpers fall off and particle effects and glass breaking out and all of that."

TGS06: Ridge Racer 7 Trailer and Gameplay Movie Clip (PS3)

Playsyde has posted a trailer and gameplay movie clip from Ridge Racer 7.
"This could very well be the last TGS news for this year, and Ridge Racer 7 is as good a game as any for this. So enjoy a direct feed but rather low quality version of the game trailer, and a 50 fps version of what we filmed during the show."

QOTD: NHL 2k7 and MVP 05 on my XBOX. Working through my first season in NHL 2k7, about a month and a half in on that with the Philadelphia Flyers. On MVP 05, I'm about 2/3 of the way through my 2nd season with the Cincinnati Reds. Can't wait to finish those up! I also might pick up Madden 06 up again. My old disc got stolen and I've played Madden 07 enough at friends house's to realize it's too much like 06. Plus, I'm about 3/4 of the way through a Buffalo Bills season in 06 too... might as well complete that and keep going.

NBA 2K7 like crazy.

On another note, hot darn the Navy Seals is a crazy joint. I'd probably ring the bell after the first time I almost died.
