Wii Sports Impressions

Planet GameCube has posted their impressions of Wii Sports.
"It doesn’t take many frames to realize that Bowling may be the most realistic bowling video game of all time. Nintendo got this one right in virtually every way. Making a shot breaks down into a series of steps. Firstly, you use the d-pad to slide your character left or right in the lane. You can then switch and use the d-pad to rotate your character in case you want to start the ball out at an angle. After you are happy with this you begin your stroke. Holding down the B button is equated to gripping your ball."

Eurogamer Update (PS3)

Eurogamer has posted the following:
  • Virtua Tennis 3 in 1080p
"Up to now, very few developers have managed to hit the PlayStation 3's highest single-monitor resolution, although some are hopeful of being able to do so."
  • No online in Tony Hawk
"Neversoft is confident the PS3 version of the game will ship at launch in November, but it still hasn't received all of the software libraries and has no indication of how the online components will work on PS3, so it's not offering them," detailed the report."

Question of the Day

How did your favorite team(s) fare this weekend?

The Boys came up big w/ a 27-10 win. Too many dropped passes for my taste, T.O. broke his finger, but I'll take the win.

QOTD
Football: The Bears maul the Lions 34-7. Defense was awesome. Rex was execellent. And the receivers played outstanding. Looking for them to go 3-0 in Minnesota next week. HECK! If we can't beat them in baseball might-as-well beat them in football.

Baseball: As for my White Sox, we get sweepted by the A's and Frank Thomas is looking like the 91-97 Frank Thomas against us. It looks like the playoff window is closing and closing fast. The Sox are going to have to win the rest of their games to make the playoffs. Not likely, but not impossible.

Man, those Bears sure are looking good. Of course, I didn't get to see this game because I was working out and playing ball. Loved hearing the score. Was listening to the radio and how Williams celebrated after a first down. Funny stuff. Real disappointed in the White Sox however. I knew they weren't going to top last season, but man they're just tanking. I already came to grips with them not making the playoffs this year. Only way is if Detroit slips cause the Twins are a sure in. Still a little baseball left and we're playing both teams. Didn't do too well against both the last time we've seen them I believe. We'll see. Nice to hear the Cubs doing good this weekend. Wonder if Dusty still has his job for next year??:y4:

Diesel, were you at the game? Did you get it on T.V? Did your heart sink when Woolridge fumbled at the goalline? I could only imagine the fallout losing to Baylor.

UCLA didn't play, and Seattle beat Arizona.
