I wonder if the online integration for leagues is the same as the OOTP series...

Hopefully the trade AI is improved. My friend told me that he was able to get top 3 picks by making trades using the caps. And he didn't even deal Ovechkin.

Trade AI is always tuned and tweaked as people tend to try and rip it apart intentionally for some reason

Both the AI evaluations and their feedback have been addressed since last year and the reports from our testers have been quite positive about it.
