Madden Wii Interview

Game Informer Online has posted an interview with Madden Wii Lead Producer Jason Armenise, and Senior Product Manager Chuck Blevens.
Game Informer Online: "How does the game work with the shell controller? We’ve heard that the Wii will incorporate the nunchuck controller, but there will also be a shell controller for people who want more of a traditional experience. If that’s true, can you talk about how the game will feel while using the shell controller?"
Armenise/Blevens: "Alternate controls other than the remote control and nunchuck controller – right now what you’ll see at E3 is all dedicated towards the freehand and nunchuck combo. I think that’s where people are going to see a huge change, and be very excited about Madden and how Madden plays – those two controllers and how that works.

That’s really what the difference is in terms of the Wii version of Madden for this year. It’s just taking the new controller scheme and really creating an all new different and unexpected experience by using that controller scheme and it really brings a big difference in how you approach the game in terms of playing the game by using the nunchuck system."

Sensible Soccer 2006 Hands On Preview (PS2)

Pro-G has posted their hands on preview of Sensible Soccer 2006.
"It'll probably come as a shock to most modern gamers, but Sensible Soccer really only uses three buttons. You've got your basic pass button, a button that can be used to hit powerful shots, long passes and perform slide tackles, and a run button. That's it. There's no 'through ball' button nor separate 'cross' and 'shoot' buttons - it's simplicity itself. You can also nock in low shots from close range with the pass button, but even so, if you're expecting a game to challenge the likes of PES and FIFA head on, think again."

PGR Devs Behind The Wheel

Digital Entertainment News has the scoop.
"On Saturday, May 6, two key contributors to Microsoft's Xbox 360 Project Gotham Racing (PGR) franchise will climb behind the wheel of a Noble M400 supercar to compete in the 2006 Tire Rack Cannonball One Lap of America Presented by Car and Driver Magazine."

FlatOut 2 Blog Update

Bugbear Entertainment has posted another blog update for FlatOut 2.
"I've been testing the game last couple of weeks in addition my other duties, and it feels extremely nice to finally play the full game when everything works. During the development the game is often broken and you get only to play only bits and pieces here and there, so having it all done so that you actually can play the full career (finish races, cups, get cars, money and open more events etc) is really rewarding – especially when crashes are a thing of the past ;-)"
