Games Ahead Of Their Time Article

SyncGaming has posted an article entitled, Games Ahead Of Their Time.
"Because it played more like real hockey than any game I've ever played. Because it had tons of awesome goalie animations. Because the commentary was great and lively and kept up with the play by using pronouns instead of player names. Because there was no "money play." Because a lot of the action took place in the neutral zone, like in real hockey. Because they didn't focus on the fighting and the big hits, but rather making a balanced, realistic game that has believable scores and stats. Because it's the only hockey game I've played that, when I lost, I felt like the other team actually earned it through solid play, not sloppy mistakes and BS."

QOTD: Right now I'm taking a bit of a break from sports to focus on schoolwork. But I'm a very athletic person. I play pickup football and basketball as well as slamball (trampoline basketball). I've never really ever played organized sports much besides baseball for my middle school a few years ago and freshmen football. I played roller hockey in a recreational league for like 4 years though (won 3 championships in 4 of those years, 2 as a skater, 1 as a goalie, GREAT times).

QOTD: i play indoor soccer in a league but i've been playing goalie recently which isn't too active. Once it's warmer out I'll be playing pick-up basketball.

Heh, just with friends in the backyard. I'm not one of those professionals from the show / league. That was a neat concept, it's where we got the name and idea from. Lots of fun.

I guess the league folded? I remember catching a few games and then it seemed to disappear.

I'm a couch potato. I go in stints... sometimes, I will play basketball, four to five days a week, for like, two weeks straight, then I will go two straight weeks without playing at all. It usually depends on how busy I am with school, and stuff with the girlfriend, and all that.
