News Post

Yes sir! Mr. RIP Hamilton comes through in the clutch with a nice 19 footer with .2 seconds left on the clock, to silence the Sonic fans. They've yet to lose back to back games this season.

I won 2 boxing matches last night in Fight Night Round 3, it was too late to play any more than that. I'm actually surprised I lasted 2 games.

I can't even locate MLB '06: The Show, I'll try to find it in another mall today.

Question of the Day: What do you enjoy most about OS?

In other news...Happy Birthday to the following OS'ers!
kodiak, cpjolicoeur (25), remixx (22), Fsu280 (20), Hov (19)

Enough about me, what's up with you?

Yeah well...the Celtic were able to hold on and win 99-98 last night...so take that Steve

Not much going on today here...just hanging around, relaxing, the usual.

QOTD: The forums and the great posters the site has. Gives me all my news too, game-wise at least, and gives me some great funny videos.

Iverson went for 47 pts and 12 assists last night. The Sixers are playing better since the break, but their defense is still atrocious. Only 1.5 back of the Nets for the division.

I tried to get a NHL2K6 league (XSHL Sim league...I'm pimpin' it) game in last night. I'm the Flyers in this league, and was playing the Islanders. This guy I was playing is pretty darn good at creating scoring chances in the offensive end. I went up 2-1 early in the third on a Kim Johnsson slapper from the point that beat Dipietro through the 5-hole. It was a sweet goal. A couple minutes later, he ties it up 2-2 with a power play goal. With about 8 minutes left in the game....network error, causing a disconnect. Talk about a frustrating end to a great game...

Steve needs to bring his *** online with Fight Night..

GRAW is almost here...

I love the close community we have here at OS. That, along with the up-to-date sports gaming news, is what makes this the number one sports gaming site on the web.

Oh yeah, well the Cavs didn't play last night. And as of late, that's probably the best that we can ask for, lol.

Like Sully said, GRAW is almost here. My online order is in the processing stage. I'm hopeful that it will ship out Monday. Since the warehouse is in Louisville, how sweet would that be.

I go Monday to a different part of the school system for an interview, so I just pray that I get it. It's something that I'd love to do, and I'm hopeful that it comes through for me.

As for OS, the close community, as Sully said... I mean, I've never met the majority of guys I talk to on here, but it's still cool to know that in the 4-5 years I've been around, there are still alot of the same guys around. The gaming news, sports and non-sports, is top of the line. Everything about OS is just top tier. Even the mods...

Actually, the Pistons did lose two games in a row earlier this season. It happened during road games against the Pacers then Hawks just a few days before the All-Star break. Anyway, speaking not only as a Piston fan but as an NBA fan, that Pistons vs. Sonics game was really fun to watch. It was one of those rare games I've seen this year when both teams kept swapping leads throughout the game and both teams played well down the stretch. Neither team deserved to lose that one.

As for me, I've been a racing fool the last few days, playing the crap out of the sensational TOCA Race Driver 3 whenever I get the chance to play any videogames. Things are going to get interesting with CH 2K6 and GRAW in the fold this upcoming week, though. I am contemplating taking back NBA 2K6 once I get CH, but chances are that I'll keep both games around. I might even post intricate gameplay details to compare the basketball games if I have the time and willpower to do it. I also wonder if changes to some of the offensive plays in the Xbox version of CH will take place in the X360 version like what happened for NBA.

Finally, to answer the question... I mostly like to sit back, read and enjoy the verbal carnage going on in the forums. But at times I also enjoy chatting it up with other Pistons fans as well as woefully optimistic and sometimes delusional Lions fans like myself. This stuff, along with music, movies and various other topics is what makes the site great to me. Plus I met few cool people who I can play random online sports games with on the side.

That was a nice crossover AI had on Daniels.

Ugh, that sucks. I can't stand great game disconnects. How are you doing in that league?

LOL, yea...whenever I get online I get a ton of invites and I feel bad for not accepting. But honestly, I suck at this game, but it's a lot of fun.

I'm not good at all w/ FPS games, but I'm definitely getting GRAW.

Ugh, you're absolutely right Kruza, thanks for the correction. Yeah, I agree, that game was very fun to watch, especially w/ the Stones pulling it out at the end.

I tried to setup interview #2 with 2K Sports CH 2K6 (360), but couldn't get it done in time.

Here is interview #1, just in case you missed it.

After a week of pouring rain I woke up this morning and the sun is out. Other parts of out island has been drenched and is flooded. Rain flowing off the mountains was so great, it looked like waterfalls pouring water all over the roads. Traffic to say the least was bad. But looks like the worst is behind us.

Been playing a lot of MLB 06 and having a great time. This game has come a long way from the old playstation days in terms of graphics and gameplay. Trying to mess with the sliders some to get it to my liking before I attempt to start a season. Also been contemplating getting the PSP version as well.

QOTD: What I really like about OS is the forums.

# 10 ndeezlo @ 03/04/06 02:36 PM
QOTD the forums, its really the only forum i post in. although me and my friends started our own forums so that we didn't fill up eachothers e-mail every day. So I obviously post there too.

Just won a 5 table party poker tourney, after being almost eliminated early, so that's always fun, I'm $150 richer.

Big game for ND today against Depaul, win and they're in the Big East Tourney, lose and they will be in the NIT again which is just sick. If they make the Big East tourney anything can happen.

What a wasted day....

I couldn't sleep last night so I ended up sleeping all day today. I didn't wake up til 5:30! Oh well at least i'll be fully cognizant of everything when I watch my movies tonight.

I will be putting up my thoughts on said movies tomorrow on my blog but they are Sunset Boulevard, The Bad and the Beautifu and there's a 3rd movie i'm interested in but don't think i'll watch called Hearts of the West.

QOTD: I love the community aspect of this place, sure some people act foolishly at times but overall it's the best community on the web. It's almost like a 2nd family in some ways.

Well I just got my acceptance letter into Ohio State: Mansfield. I applied for the main campus but I didn't get in but I can transfer. It's not my first choice but I might go there if I don't get into Morehouse but I know that if I do go there I'm definetly going to transfer the first chance I get. I don't even really want to go to OSU. I am relieved though because I was starting to think that I wouldn't get accepted anywhere.

QOTD: All the awesome posters.

Not too much going on with me, just munching on some Girl Scout Cookies. Samoa's are by far the best cookies ever made.

I'm pretty much just waiting for: College Hoops, GR:AW, and the Transfer Kit. :y4: I feel like EG..buying everything.

QOTD - Alot of things....the great reviews, up to date gaming news, the awesome impressions threads, and all the knowledgeable sports posters.

Today I finally decided to try to get some of the achievements in NBA2k6 after hanging out with some friends. After trying to get them in regular 8 minute, superstar level games for a few hours and having no luck at all, I decided to be cheap. So I changed the difficulty to rookie and played 3 minute quarters. I thought it would be easy but it took me 3 tries to get the triple double and 4 tries to get the 20 rebounds . Needless to say I would've been better off just playing 8 minute quarters because I didn't have enough time to grab 20 rebounds in 12 minutes. Anyway, I wasn't planning on spending 4 hours doing this but time just flew by. And now i'm here browsing the boards at 8pm .

I'm also eagerly awaiting GRAW and the Outfit Demo at the moment. I've been playing all my shooter games over and over to tide me over until the games come out.

well had to work today - got off early & met my family for "dinner at the diner".. now playing some MLB "The show".. i keep loving this game more & more as i play it.. just gearing myself up for two weeks of paid "dog sitting" duty as my parents are going off to Tokyo & "Down Under" (business related).. & i will be all alone on my b-day ... oh well..

as far as what i like about OS? well a few things.. 1) the great news articles & info to keep on top of the latest games & consoles 2) the posters themselves - feels like a "family" atmosphere around here & great to still see many still around, and also as a place where gamers of all different ages interact.. & 3) the fact that a few of the gamer makers actually come aboard to talk about their games makes it unique.. 4) & this thread
