News Post

Well, I got to play around a little more with the Major League Baseball 2K6 beta last night, we posted some more screenshots late last night as well, just in case you missed it, here they are.

Anyways, the Inside Edge addition is pretty slick, as well as the swing stick. I'm also digging the animations I've seen so far. The double plays are very nicely done, no hitch at all in any animations I've seen. I'll be posting dynasty/franchise screenshots tonight and some movie clips by the weekend.

Man, I'm so stupid. I totally forgot to adjust my lineups in Fantasy Basketball over the long NBA break. I missed 2 freakin' days and I've fallen to last place. UGH.

Question of the Day: How many hours per week do you spend on gaming?

In other news...Happy Birthday to the following OS'ers!

Enough about me, what's up with you?

Hey Steve--I am glad to hear good things about 2k baseball. I am definitely getting the show, but I am not above getting both games if they both offer different things with a solid game.

Things are going well here. A few weeks back I posted about my retirement from coaching baseball. Well, I retired for a shorter time than Roger Clemens. The "powers that be" realized the real deal (Parents called and complained) and cleaned house. So I retire for a few weeks and end up with a promotion to the highest level of high school ball. Season starts in 2 weeks. Hopefully we don't get any more snow.

QOTD: I don't spend enough hours gaming. I would say on average 10.

Nice to hear about MLB 2k6. I think thats the baseball game im getting this year. Not sold on the show, but my brother is getting it, so i can see from his copy if ill like it.

Not much going on for me today, i have to help some guys clean out a lab that is getting new flooring on Monday. Im waiting for my new baseball glove and cleats to get here. USPS says its gonna be here saturday, so that means i need to make a trip up to the workplace to pick it up. If i would have known the place was sending it through them i would of had it shipped to my house.

lately i average about 5-6 hours a week, Games havent really grabbed me like they used to.

QOTD - I spend probably 10 hours or so a week gaming.

I'm feeling sick today, so just sort of here. I blogged my review of Fight Night Rd 3 for the 360. Check it out, post some comments, whatever.. Yes, I'm plugging my blog!

Related to general gameplay, Steve, what's your take on the throwing animations and the general feel and flow on the defensive side of the ball? To me, that's where the biggest gap between MLB and MVP occured last year. MVP "felt" right, MLB didn't

Lots less right now. I'm mostly concentrating on two games, MVP 2005 and NBA 2k6. I keep trying to like MVP 2006, but I keep going back to MVP 2005. Intermittently I get in some NFL 2k5 or Fight Night Round 2, but in terms of overall hours, I don't think it's any more than 8-10 at this point in a week. Too many projects, a relatively new business and all the inherent needs that require address in that pursuit, whether it's admin, design or web-related issues

Anything over 6'4".....

Other than that, just busy with work and a bunch of projects while trying to get one eye on the Raptors when they play. Here's hoping Mr. Colangelo says "Yes". The Barneys have a fun, hard-working team that's a lot better than their record. They get some upgrades in a couple of areas and sign Mike James and we're in business

Have fun.........

QOTD: on average I'd guess around 10 hours/week.

That Google web page creator looks interesting. I've signed up.

Anyhow, I have another test in CS today, this time I have to actually write a program though, vs a multiple choice scenario. Should be a good gauge of where I stand on the CS stuff to this point.

Then I have a fantasy baseball draft at 9 PM tonight. Problem is I barely watch the MLB at all; I know who the real big names are, but beyond them I haven't a clue as to who's good. Someone recommend me a sleeper so I'll look smart... Also I've never played fantasy baseball before... it'll be interesting, to say the least.

QOTD: A lot but not as much as I used to, tho that'll change once I get my hands on MLB 2K6. If I had to guess i'd say 10-12 hours a week.

Speaking of MLB 2K6, I hope you got some screens relating to the Blue Jays this time steve! LOL

It's a GLOOOOORIOUS bright sunny day today. Once again I didn't go to the movies. (somehow i'm thinking I never will ) I've been assured that i'll be going tonight but i'm not holding my breath this time.

Only a couple hours til the first day of the NFL combine so that should be fun to look at. Speaking of looking at, The digital box can only work on my family room tv when it's hooked up to the DVD port but since we have tons of DVD players in the house (plus my PS2) we'll just let it be for now. I'll just have to watch my NFL games on the computer tho.

Also I will be re-attempting to start up a blog by the weekend. I hope some of the guys with blogs here don't mind if I link to them on mine.

I'd like to second this -- preferably not in those heinous Toronto Devil Jays unis. Maybe in one of the snazzy throwbacks from the early 1990's?

Thanks

Have fun.................

QOTD: 10 hours per week sounds about right.

MLB 2K6 is looking pretty decent, but I am waiting for all the 360 shots and Vids to pass some real judgement.

Tonight I'm possibly going to an Albany Patroons (CBA) game. James Thomas is back after his two 10-Day stints with the Chicago Bulls. This will beef up our lineup for sure.

Albany Patroons

  • 2.85 QP
  • 10-9 Home
  • Won 2
Michigan Mayhem
  • 7-31
  • 2.11 QP
  • 1-18 Away
  • Lost 7
Starting Lineups

Albany

QOTD: I would have to say about 20-30. Yes, I have no life.
Most of my time is consumed playing Guitar Hero, that game just sucks
the time away before you know it.

Question of the Day: How many hours per week do you spend on gaming?

I really have no idea. Under 10.

# 11 Acid @ 02/23/06 03:28 PM
QOTD: I'll go with the crowd and say 10, probably gonna be less after tennis really gets underway.

Cut my ankle up a little yesterday at practice, coach sent me home, so today I'm coaching the team because the actual coach is at the dentist, so I don't have to play but I need to show up to get my uniform.

Other than that..nothing's going on, about to get some In N Out..mmm.

We'll need to get in some FN3 tonight, I just re-plugged my 360 back in and it's fine, must've been a loose cord or something last night.

I had troubles with Z too... hmm...

Anyway, I wrote up a blog post about FNR3, if you wanna read. I haven't posted in a while.

Ah well, nothing really at school, but I do have a performance tonight at 7. Woo.

I'm also fairly sure that i'm going to have to write a paper or something.

This is tough for me to answer and I say between 5-8 hours.

I wanna see Garnett or Pierce trade to the Lakers. I don't want Odumb on the Lakers anymore.

congrats man... glad to see your "back on the field"... HS sports is just insane now adays..

anyway - i am still waiting for TOCA 3 to come in & have preordered MLB 2k6 - though having thoughts about picking up the ps2 again for MLB the show.. looks like they hired a new manager where i work so a little less "brunt" for me to deal with.. only a few more weeks till spring & the fact that ST is starting has got me reved up again.. i dont care that people say it's boring, there is always excitement for me... of course i am still pestering my g/f as to what she got me for my b-day next month as well (she then replies what did i get her for our 1 year "together" anniversary) -- well there goes more cash down the drain

as far as gaming, it is really hard to say.. my guess would be around ten hrs or so, but lately it seems that i have been cutting back (actually have been playing Rise of Nations & Empire at War on the PC)..

Thanks man, I appreciate the well wishes. I can't wait for the season to start both coaching and MLB.
