News Post

Just in case you missed it, we posted some beta Major League Baseball 2K6 screenshots late last night. I'll have some more up tonight, if I get the time. It's only an 80% build, and I should be getting a newer build this week.

It's good to see the NBA back in action. The Pistons took care of the Hawks last night, no last second heroics this time for Atlanta. The Pistons were up for most of the game and looked pretty good. The second half of the NBA season is always more entertaining as teams fight for playoff positioning. I noticed Darko played 4 minutes last night for the Magic, go get em' Darko!

It's raining and mixing with snow here, but I don't think it will amount to much. I can't wait for Spring to get here.

Question of the Day: What game are you looking forward to the most?

In other news...
Happy Birthday to the following OS'ers!
Will update when it's fixed...

Enough about me, what's up with you?

Thanks Steve, I DID miss that. I'll poke around and look at them after this post. Well the tech came this morning apparently the digital box can't work with the TV anymore for some strange reason. Apparently the TV is too old. So now we're faced with either doing away with the box (NOOOOO) or getting a new TV. The other option is hooking it up with another tv in the house somewhere. We'll see what happens.

I didn't get to go to the movies yesterday but will go tonight. Ah well, life is sucky at the moment LOL

EDIT: QOTD: MLB 2K6

Looked at the 2K6 screenshots, pretty cool stuff. I'll be curious to know what you think of the gameplay this year. Will you also get a 360 beta copy?

Just got the rest of my trip details planed to go watch the White Sox down in Tucson/Phoenix at the end of March. Get to watch them play against the Cubs in Mesa. Should be a good time.

QOTD: probably looking forward to MLB2K6 the most. Need to have a baseball game on the 360. Here's hoping that it's good....

QOTD: Oblivion. Not a sports game but I'm not really looking forward to anything else.

What's up? Just booked a trip to Philly in May for the Red Sox vs Phillies series. Going down from Friday-Sunday. Sully has given me some great info but if anybody else has any suggestions on things to see, do, etc feel free to offer them. I'm going with my GF and another couple. We're staying at the Holiday Inn right near the Stadium.

Otherwise, pretty slow week at work. Nothing else to report.

Good stuff. Read the articles that interested me. Kind of wondering how great of an upgrade the Windows Vista is going to honestly be and if I'd consider getting an upgrade. I'm assuming that it's going to be a heck of a lot of money for my pocket in this time of gaming, school, and debt. So for right now, I'll be looking afar waiting for a decent OEM to roll up. Not anytime soon. Especially since I'm not building a computer just yet.

Also trying to get a good version of Fight Night RN 3. Just will not pay the price of $60 for an XBOX 360. Rather wait for it online at some retailer. Still reading them impressions. Great stuff OS'ers. GREAT STUFF!!

Pretty interesting about that HD camcorder Sony has. I'd definitely love to try that sucker out. Might try to get one of those for the wedding day. My girl already said that she'll be giving me the full power and authority over the entertainment system WHAT CAN I SAY!!

Screenshots of MLB 2K were pretty nice I'd say. Not into baseball as much as I'm into basketball. I wish that College Hoops would have already came out. For whatever reason it's been delayed so much, they're going to lose mad money over that. Honestly, I've made up my mind to get it but it'll definitely have to be closer to the summer time when time should be more. Definitely considering getting that MLB 2K6 on the 360 too. I just can't wait for that.

Final note: I'm very curious to see if that camera that Microsoft is coming out with will be used in any games by companies like VC or EA seriously. I'm definitely liking the idea of chatting with my girl. I'm hoping that it's compatible with my computer too cause that will kill my looking for a webcam, but they do have some decent ones on eBay for cheap. Good stuff Steve.

Most anticipated games:
1. Gears of War (360)
2. College Hoops 2K6 (360)
3. Fight Night Round 3 (360) Looking for a good price BELOW $60
4. Some Great Games For The Live Arcade
5. Medal of Honor: Airborne (360) Looks pretty hot in the preview in Game Informer. Should make its mark.......

It won't work w/ your TV, but it was working before? Odd. They can't just replace it w/ the same model? Bah, just get a nice widescreen set and watch that WWE in HD. Do they even offer HD for wrestling yet?

I think the problem is more to do with the TV itself. Anywho I don't have money for anything expensive so it's most likely gonna go in the basement. It'll be odd watching digital tv on a small tv tho.

I played around for a little bit last night, but the fielding was not working quite right. I was told there were some bugs w/ it right now, so I'm not sweatin' it. It really did feel good though, I didn't go much into the details of the game, just wanted to get a game in for a feel. I thought it played pretty good. I was walked 3 times and had a nice 10 pitch at bat I didn't play w/ the cameras, I was just using default everything. I hit a bomb w/ "Barry Bonds"...I forget the name they gave him, lol. But it was sweet, pitcher served me up a fastball right down the middle of the plate and I jacked it to center for a 2 run tater. I won 4-2. I'm going to try and play more w/ the options and things tonight, just remember this is an 80% build.

I'll get a 360 beta, if I can get a 360 debug. I'm still working on that.

I always have to have the latest OS, so I'll be getting it. I haven't even read much about it, but I've seen some screenshots, it looks pretty cool w/ the transparent windows and stuff.

When is the wedding? Yeah, that HD camcorder sounds NICE!

Maybe if it's USB the camera will be PC compat, we'll see. It's gonna be neat how the gaming companies implement it into games. It would be a riot to see the other person's face as you are killing them by 20 in NBA 2K6, lol.

Bummer bro. Maybe you can get it fixed at the local TV shop. It probably won't cost too much. Better than buying a new set tho.

Not really. They were supposed to go on sale at 7:30 this morning, but when I logged in at 7:25, they were already on sale.

I'm just relaxing and enjoying my week off from school.

Bought an ipod off of ebay and it came yesterday. I spent over 3 hours trying to install the software and stuff on my computer yesterday, and couldn't get it to work. Couldn't get my computer to recognize the ipod. It was really frustrating. Then I woke up today, plugged it in and it seems to be working fine, and is transferring all my music now.

Works for me.

QOTD: College Hoops for 360.

LOL, computers work in wierd ways.

Which iPod did you get?

Week off from school? How did you manage that?

Nothing too much going with me right now. Just trying to stay sane until spring break. It seems like everyone is assigning work and tests right now. This sunday though I'm goin to the Pistons/Cavs game which should be a pretty good game.

QOTD: College Hoops, I still need to see some more of MLB2k6 since I've never played a 2k baseball game.

Looks like I'll be playing #1 JV Doubles this season, if a varsity player gets injured or something, I'll be the first one called up though. I'll probably be team captain of JV and coach when the real coach goes to Europe for a school trip. I'm playing with this freshman kid..he seems like a nice kid and he's not too bad.

Next Thursday the boys and girls tennis teams will be playing. :y4: It should be pretty fun actually.

Not much going on today, just more practice and stuff. I got Fight Night 3 but have only been able to get one fight in, stupid tennis.

I like the whole aspect of purchasing the Reports for MLB Teams, in the MLB 2K6 Screenshots...

QOTD:
  1. Fight Night Round 3 (Xbox 360)
  2. College Hoops 2K6 (Xbox 360)
  3. MLB 2K6 (Xbox 360)

QOTH: Oblivion can't come soon enough.

Well I do get to play walleyball this week. Yeahh..

Also the Razorbacks really put on a good show last night and beat Bama by 2.
I hate ESPN though. The game was on at 8:00 and the game before it ended just in time but then they gave us "bonus coverage" which was the ucon game and that caused us to miss the first 3 minutes of our game. Man
I hate that.
