T-Mobile NBA Rookie of the Month to Take on Gamers in Latest Xbox Live ‘Game with Fame’ Session
Andrew Bogut of the Milwaukee Bucks is stepping off the hardwood to bring his talents to Xbox Live®. Fans that are interested in going one-on-one with the big man from Australia will need to keep an eye out for the Xbox Live gamertag ‘BogutGWF’ on Thursday, February 23 from 6pm to 7pm CST to challenge him in NBA Live 06® for Xbox®.
“I am looking forward to chatting and playing against NBA fans across the country and because we’ll be using Xbox Live, I’ll be able to play against gamers from all over the world, said Bogut. “Maybe a couple of friends from Australia will join the Game With Fame and make it a true international event.”
Bogut, the number one pick in the 2005 NBA Draft who will have his number retired by the University of Utah this month, led all rookies for the month of January in rebounding (8.8 rpg) and blocks (1.35 bpg), while ranking third in scoring (10.4 ppg) and third in field goal percentage (.554 percent) among rookies. Bogut has had a big impact on his new team. At this time last year, the Milwaukee Bucks were 15-27 and ranked 13th in the Eastern Conference. Currently the Bucks are ranked fifth in the Eastern Conference with a 27-24 record.
