News Post

We are working on some new stuff here at OS, I was banging on some things for a few hours last night, probably a few more tonight, thanks to a nifty little program Mark set me up with. As for changes, most of it will be focused on the Main Page and you probably won't see anything for another couple of months.

I'm glad it's Friday, any plans this weekend?

Question of the Day: How would you rate this past NFL season?

In other news...
Happy Birthday to the following OS'ers!
throwmonkey, webranger (44), Moser316J (27), bigmack21779 (27), jrizzt (25), NinerFan1983 (23)

Enough about me, what's up with you?

You were "banging" on some "things" for a few hours last night?

Hmmm

Got a 3 day weekend coming up so that leaves me with extra time to finish my 360 games. We're in the process of selling our house and looking for a new one so we got some house hunting to do tommorow morning. Plus there is a open house on my house and I just hate having strangers wonder around your crib. We hope to get that done soon.

As for the QOTD, this past NFL season was nice for being a Bears fan. Got a playoff spot, led the division for the majority of the season, had a team to stand behind.....but to bad they sucked in the playoffs. Oh well, still got something to look foward to next year. Oh..plus I was extra happy to see New England and Indy gone before the SB. Sometimes you get sick of the same teams.

Now we know how he got Fossen back on Staff...

SOOOOO happy that it's Friday. My work is VERY slow this week and the Prez gets an itchy trigger finger when that happens (kind of like the real Vice Prez). My job security isn't an issue... but I loathe having 4 finance meeting in a week. I loathe 4 finace meetings in a year.

I think I'm going to take the kids bowling tomorrow. I was thinking... I haven't filled my body with smoke and greasey food while wearing someone else's shoes in a while.... it's on! It's been a long week and I want to do something fun with the kids, but it's supposed to be -17 tomorrow... so indoors it is!

Been playing Rugby 06 and Winning Eleven for the last week. I feel very Euro.

Still playing The Sims 2. I don't know what it is... the game just hooks me for stretches. I'm actually thinking of picking up the "Open For Business" expansion on 3/1.

QOTD:

No such things as bad football... I miss the NFL already!

You don't have non-smoking bowling facilities? All the ones here in Birmingham are non-smoking. I don't think I would go bowling if I had to deal with all the smokers.

TGIF!!! Not only TGIF, but TGIF with a 3-day weekend!!! God Bless President's Day on Monday!

I'll probably see a movie tomorrow and play some 360. I have to play game no. 82 in my NBA 2K6 Mavs Association before the playoffs start. Looks like I'll get the Grizz in the first round in the best of 3. It'll be interesting since Jason Terry is out for probably the first two games of the playoffs and Josh Howard is hurt, but will play. The most intriguing match up in the West is the #4 and #5 seeds, Spurs and Rockets. I'm pissed that I may not be facing the Rockets if I advance to the second round since San Antonio probably wins that series. I was 1-3 against Houston in the regular season and I want my revenge in the playoffs DAMMIT!!

Anyhow, I think the NFL Season was meh!! Parity is really starting to stink up the joint. Of all the NFC teams in the Playoffs, my Cowboys could beat them all 4/5 times. We should've had a better record and made some noise in the playoffs.

Question of the Day: I would have to say one of my most favorite ever. Mostly because of how good Seattle was, but there was also a lot of things this season that were worth taking note of. The Colts being 13-0, Bruschi coming back, the new Bengals, how good a lot of rookies were, the playoffs were decent, etc.

As for today, I have to study for an exam which is in, six hours. I just finished up the essay for it as well. Then I am headed home to Seattle for the three day weekend.

WHATS UP WITH YOU!?

Phew, halfway through Friday!!

My best friend's 24th is this weekend, and so is one of our girl-friend's so Saturday will prolly get pretty sloppy. Unfortunately I have to work on Monday, but no big deal, I'm okay with it.

I'm pretty pumped about All-Star weekend too, I think it'll be a very entertaining show all weekend.

QotD: The worst season I can remember to be honest. Too much mediocrity around the entire league. I found this season downright boring.

QOTD - Great NFL season!! The best in 26 years!

Lots of wind last night. Bursts up to 45 MPH woke me up early in the morning and I couldn't go back to sleep. I had to retrieve my garbage can at 7am because it was blowing down the street. I then left for work so I'm sure it blew away again.

The weather here is a mess. It was 65 yesterday and is now in the mid 20's. The low this weekend is supposed to be 9 degrees. Too cold.

# 9 ehh @ 02/17/06 11:14 AM
Alot of the country is much colder than the Northeast today, can't say that very often. It's around 50 here today in CT, but the winds are already starting to gust.

I figure by the time the cold front gets here it'll be bruuuuuutal.

QOTD: I dunno, honestly I was kind of bored by it, but I think that was because I was too focused on the Browns (which is why I'm gonna start following the Raiders & Chargers more next year). I guess if I took a broader look at it, it was pretty good.

This weekend is gonna suck. I have to drive back home today for the funeral home services for my aunt, and then the funeral is tomorrow (which I'm really not looking forward to cause churches skeeve me out). Hopefully there will be something else to take my mind off of this weekend like the All-Star break or seeing a movie, but who knows.

I just got back from a week long skiing vacation, so today I'm just hanging out at work catching up on my rest

As for the weekend, not much planned. Just catching up on some rest and the TV shows I missed this week. It's killing me not being able to read the 24, Smallville, and Lost threads in the Entertainment forum. I'm hoping to catch those three tonight.

Things have been crappy weather wise. Yesterday we had a lot of ice rain which made driving treacherous then I woke up today and was watching some wrestling on WWE 24/7. I was 2/3rds through the event when the winds started howling like crazy and knocked out power. Sadly when the power came back I found myself back at the beginning of the event I was watching.

QOTD: As a Bills fan it was pretty depressing, overall tho I found this season to be pretty good but the consistently bad officiating in the playoffs left a slightly sour taste in my mouth.

Nothing much happening here. Finally got my hands on an Xbox 360....boy is that box heavy or what? Been playing sporadically during this week and I am impressed and enjoying it. Picked up madden, and NBA 2k6 for starters, and looking forward to MLB 2k6. Three day weekend coming up. I think my thumbs will get a good workout.

As far as this past NFL season, It was great. My Cowboys did not do as well as expected but there is always next year. It was good to see Seattle make the palyoffs. Went to the Pro Bowl last week, got a few autographs. Anyway, no football for 7 months...i am feeling thwe withdrawls already.

Are you planning to move nearby or to Beverly Hills, ya playa.

Isn't that the nastiest feeling? That is one of the major reason why I can't stand to go bowling.

Be careful what you wish for SoMiss, you could very well play Houston and "mistakenly" hit your reset button a few times if you're down 3 games to 0.

Shoulda, coulda, but didn't...unfortunately. Hopefully Parcells can get them to win those close games next season. Gotta work on that O-line, for sure.

I thought the playoffs sucked. I don't know, I just wasn't feelin' it this year. Probably cuz the Boys had no play.

Good luck on the exam bro.
