Hooray for the weatherman! We are just not worthy! We were expected to get anywhere from 2 to 6 inches, there is about 12 freakin' inches outside just laughing at me to start shoveling. I'd like to take all my snow and dump it on all area weathermen's vehicles. Thanks. How about this Mr. Weatherman...How about just letting us know you have no freaking idea how much snow we are getting or if we are getting any at all, just throw it back to the sports guy, I'm tired of hearing about your all-knowing predictions. Yeah, you know about as much as I know about the weather, so get up and get out of your house and shovel my driveway.

Sorry for the rant.

Well, looks like I'll be outside for most of this afternoon, oh the joy. Maybe they'll close work down tomorrow, then I can actually start to enjoy this 12 inches.

Question of the Day: Do you shovel your driveway and sidewalks or do you wait for the neighbor to come over w/ the snowblower, LOL!

In other news...Happy Birthday to the following OS'ers!
fpac, joeman212, sportsgal, Ephexx (19), Flyboy (18), smittyjs (16)

Enough about me, what's up with you? It's time for me to throw my back out.

Uh, no! I don't shovel my driveway. Reason being is because it's sunny and a windy 45 degrees in Texas.

Anyways, welcome to the first weekend with no REAL football. Oh, there is that glorified scrimmage taking place in Hawaii but you get the point. What are we to do. Still a long ways until free agency and the Draft.

I don't have much going on today. We're about to head out for church. I overslepted and missed the 8 am service. We'd be on the way home right about now instead of just heading out. Not much on the plate today. Got some cleaning of my car to do.

I'll be cranking up the 360 later. I have 9 games to go in the regular season of my 82-game Mavs association first season (Ive played all the games too). I have a record of 58-15. I have the #1 seed in the west and the best record in the league. The playoffs will be interesting. As you know, with the new division alignments, things can be pretty weird. Houston now sits with the 2nd best record in the West. I have a 6.5 game lead on them in the Southwest Division. They will not catch me for the #1 seed so Stern's new alignment gets them the #4 seed in the playoffs. This is where it gets interesting. My Mavs will get Houston in the 2nd round, provided they get past the Spurs who they'll be matched up against in the 1st Round. Guess what, head-to-head, I'm 1-3 against the Rockets in the regular season. I went with a 3-5-5-5 format for the playoffs. I hope those bitches get past the Spurs for our Round 2 showdown!!!!

I've only seen snow a few times in my life. In fact it was 70 degrees this past week out here in sunny Vegas. Too bad it will be 115 degrees before we know it.

Other than that I just got home from work. Time to hit the hay until 5 or 6 pm. Not much happened last night. Pretty slow night for graveyard shift in Vegas with a full moon. One interesting call was when a thug decided to show his Glock 19 to the bouncer who wouldn't let him in the club because of dress code. Little did he know that two US Federal Marshalls and a retired Sheriff who worked 17 years in Texas were behind him in line. I just happened to be driving by, saw the fight, and arrived just as they were calling 911. It's nice to show up on a gun call and find the suspect handcuffed and everyone else ready and willing to fill out statements for me. Makes my job easy!

I always have to shovel my driveway immediately for several reasons. First, the sun NEVER hits my driveway, so any kind of snow will turn to ice. Second, my car is rear wheel drive with 19" rims and racing slick tires, so even the lightest bit of snow causes me problems.

The PS3 link was good, and im starting to wonder how this new machine will pan out. Im such a sucker for new technology, especially game systems. Im sure i will pick it up, mainly for GT and f1.

"oh the weather outside is FRIGHTFULL".... so much for 6-12.. now they are saying 12-24 when its all done (actually with NYC they had the second largest snowfall in history - so far around 22+ inches).. oh - getting more excited to go into work today usually i would assist my landlord in shoveling, but luckily i heard a knock on the door- some neighborhood kid came over to help...

Woo sleeping in on a snowy Sunday. Too bad there's no real outside football today. The AFL is on, right?

I own a snowblower, so I do my driveway in about 10 minutes or so! LOL

Update on my friend. He's actually coming home from the hospital this week I guess. He has regained all motor functions except speech, which the doctor said could come back tomorrow or could be 6 months, they have no idea. They are more amazed he has everything but speech back. It's not that he can't talk, it's that he doesn't know how to. I guess his wife said he's like a 3 year old in voice capabilities. I guess he can say a few things, but has trouble sounding them out or what not. Still no word if they have or will caught the assailants.

The snow peetered out in Charlottesville here, and we got enough to cover everything a fair amount, but not enough to really prevent people from doing anything. As for shoveling it, I'm a college student, and thus don't shovel it ...sometimes the groundskeeper people don't either though...

As I stated earlier, I got my computer back in working order, so I'm playing Madden again. I'd put up a thread in Dynasty Central, but my whole league is custom teams (don't ask why, I just felt like doing something differnt; I have all the XFL teams, all the teams from Blitz: The League, and a few custom ones). It'd be difficult, but I might still do it.

Is the Pro Bowl on today, or is that next week?

I'd read that dyn, Krioniq.

Pro Bowl is today.

Well yesterday was my first day of my supplemental job as a Marketing rep for Andersen windows. We work mainly home shows, stuff like that. I really didn't know what I was doing when I first got there as we didn't have any real training, but after a while of sitting in the back and observing I kinda got the hang of it. The show was in Johnson City, which is like 2 hours from Knoxville. Good thing we get paid mileage and hotels if we have to stay. It was a relatively slow show, but things picked up in the afternoon and I think I made about $300. Not too shabby for 8 hours.

Can't wait for the big shows in Chattanooga and Asheville, one guy made over $1400 in 2 days in Asheville last year. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I also start my fulltime job on Feb. 21st. I'm finally back in the money! 360 games here i come.

Oh yeah, Vols won again yesterday, pushing their record to 18-3, 9-1 in the SEC, first place. Amazing considering they were picked last in the division in the preseason. In the latest bracketology on espn.com, they have us as a 2 seed. A 2 SEED! When your bball program has been down as long as ours have, its amazing how exciting this is. We won't make it far in the tourney. We aren't big enough. Just can't wait until next year when that top 10 recruiting class gets in.

The snow keeps pouring down here, though not as much as I thought we'd get.

Happy Birthday to me! I don't have much planned for the day, except that my family is taking me to the 'Canes/Sabres game this evening.

Yesterday we were forecasted to get 1-2 inches of snow, but it only drizzled all day. I don't want snow to show up here, but I don't control that.

18 inches of snow. 18 freakin' inches. Everything outside was covered with snow this morning. Cars were buried, roads couldn't even be seen. I couldn't help but marvel at all this snow. Buy a snowblower and enjoy the snow fellas! Don't hurt yourselves shoveling.

Man, I am trippin. For the past three nights, i have had a similar dream where, I havent studied for some exam...or I havent gone to the class in weeks, and all this other ****...and I wake up, and think its real and freak the **** out. Ugh. It keeps happening. I mean, I had dreams like that over summer. Where I was like "oh **** I have a test tomorrow! and I havent gone to class in three weeks!" but I'm like, living in at home, not registered for classes, and I wake up thinking its real.

We got at least a foot of snow. Just got done shoveling, and now it's snowing again.

Hopefully we atleast get a delay tomorrow morning.

# 17 theaub @ 02/12/06 07:30 PM
No show up here...although it takes 2 feet to cancel school, so it's usually better to have no snow at all.

When I quit contact hockey to go back to house league (no hitting), I never figured I would have more injuries there in two weeks then I did in my six years playing contact. I have a bad charley horse, a sprained ankle, I thre out my back (like Steve!), and I got speared, and can't bend down. Yet, for some reason that I don't know myself, I still played today. We play 45 minute games with no intermission, so everyone is dead by the third period. We won 5-4, and are still up by 3 points with 4 games to play. We play the second place team next week, and if we win, we basically clinch first. I think the webiste is www.hillcrestmha.com. I play Midget level for the Pickle Barrel (possibly the worst resteraunt ever ).
