News Post

The Pistons bounced back to their winning ways last night beating the Clippers. They'll play at Orlando next, then travel to Miami on Sunday. I can't wait for the Heat game.

Have you guys tried out the new MVP 06 mod from mvpmods? It is unbelievable how good it is. I'm going to be installing a few more mods tonight.

Question of the Day: Are you a console or PC gamer?

In other news...
Happy Birthday to the following OS'ers!
Linx (24), thedukejr (21)

Enough about me, what's up with you?

I am a console gamer myself. Never had a computer "good" enough to get into PC gaming.

The pistons are winning and the Knicks are losing! Man i dont know what it will take to right that sinking ship! I was the first to say the Isiah hiring was good for the team, but it seems like i was wrong.

Oh well on to today, not much going on, still waiting to move into my office space. Hopefully i can start this afternoon, cause it's freezing where they have me know.

It looked like Elton Brand was gonna go 50 last night after his hot start. Good win by the Pistons though, and not a shabby performance by Livingston either.

I definately caught some bug that my sister has had for the last week or so. My head is in the clouds today, I've got a sore throat and can't stay focused at all. Very groggy but I'm not really tired.

Unfortunately I have a meeting at 2pm today that's 45 minutes away. Can't wait for that.

Question of the day - I was strictly a PC gamer until I was 14 when I bought a PSOne, since then I've been strictly a console gamer.

Steve, what mod are you talking about?

# 4 noyrbpats @ 02/09/06 10:24 AM
I’ve always been a console gamer who had a PC, up until a few days ago. With my 7800 GT, PC gaming has opened up for me, and wow I’ve been missing allot. I forgot how much better it is to play a FPS with a keyboard and mouse. I’m going to go out tonight and pick up MVP 05 so I can mod it. Steve, can you suggest some good ones? What kind of gamepad do you use?

Don’t get me wrong I love my 360, but seeing Quake 4 run at a steady 60 FPS at 1600 X 1200, WOW. I bought FEAR last night and it is pretty good, not as wonderful as I expected. Well got to go put the boy on the potty.

PS. Am I the only one who gets so excited about the NFL draft, I can't wait until the combine.

Console gamer.

What's up with me is I have the flu. Had to be rushed to the hospital about 30 mins after I got home from the Duke-UNC game the other night. Stayed at the hospital for 8 hrs, because I was severly dehydrated, and my tempt was 104.6 I have like no energy to do anything, and dunno when I'll be going back to work. First time since I was 8 I've had the flu. Oh well at least Duke won.

Yeah, it seems like the requirements for certain games go up every month, you can never be on top of things being a PC gamer, unless you have the money. Some of my games are slow, unless I crank down the graphics, we don't have that issue w/ console games.

Console gammer here... with a little dash of computer gaming (either MS Flight Simulators or Rise of Nations) -- but come in a few days, will go out for the new SW game...

had another good chuckle yesterday.. went to Gamestop to pick up my WE9 preorder.. the two guys infront of me were looking to get a 360.. (now they must of had some of em in).. but when the guy said he was out of HD's, I knew what was left (CORES!!!).. the guys ended up leaving the store not getting it.. now if i only had the cash .. hehe.. well it looks like old man winter may hit us once again - a "noreaster" possibly this weekend - of course the weathermen already saying "potential for more than 6 inches"-blah,blah,blah... I also hate the month of February, cause while it's the shortest month, almost everyone in my family has a birthday this month..

Feel better soon PDiddyPop. When you have the flu, you literally feel like this is the end.

Console gamer myself. The only PC game I ever got in to was Micro League Baseball and Below the Root. Those were the good ol' days. These days, I own a Mac and couldn't be happier. Can't say I've ever gamed on it. I guess there's no chance that MVP '05 works on a Mac?

Steve, I applaud you for being such a hard core Pistons fan. For that matter, a NBA fan. For the life of me, I never could watch an entire NBA game. The lack of team involvement and weak atmoshphere just breeds boredom for me. Then again, perhaps teams like the Pistons and Spurs are more team oriented. The college game is where it's at for me. As a Kansas grad, witnessing a game at Allen Fieldhouse is an unbelieveable experience. Just can't imagine being drawn in watching a NBA game. Strange enough, I love playing NBA 2K6 on the 360. Go figure.

Yeah, no kidding. They were lights out to start things off. Glad they cooled off or the Stones would have been blown out of the building.

With the weather changes around here, everyone seems to be getting sick, I'm sure I'm next.

How is that media PC doing?

I have been emailed a few mods and will try them tonight, if they are good I'll send them to you, remind me tomorrow. I use the Logitech Dual Action, here is a link.

You're not the only one bro, I love the NFL draft and everything leading up to it. The NFL Network channel is always on at my house.

Thanks for the heads up on the MVP mod Steve. I havn't been playing it lately, but with the updates MVP will probably be my game of choice again this year.

Re: the question of the day, I'm a PC and Console game. PC mainly for Morrowind, MVP and Out of the Park. The rest of my sports games, I play on console. I prefer MVP on the PC because of all the incredible mods and roster updates such as real minor league players, etc.

Re: What's up? I'm in Active Directory training all week, which has been pretty good. We're migrating over from Novell so I've been working with it for a couple months, but picking a lot of stuff that I didn't know about yet. It is definitely a welcome break after working 50+ hours last week. I've been out of class by 3 every day this week.

Noreaster? What is that? We are "supposed" to get some snow this weekend as well, but I'm not going to listen to those weathermen, they never know anything.

LOL, I don't think they have a mod for the Mac yet bro.

Yeah, you'd like the Pistons bro, they are very team oriented, they are always looking for the extra pass to get the open look. Check em' out one night. I think they are on ESPN on Sunday night against the Heat. Watch how it's Wade and Shaq against "The Pistons". They'll get worked.

I hear ya bro, the college game is MUCH better, but I love the NBA as well.
