News Post

The Pistons got embarrassed last night losing to the Hawks, of all teams. That means the Pistons are on their first losing streak of the season. Pitiful, but they still have the best record in the NBA. They better bounce back in a big way, they have the Clippers next and they are no longer the laughing stock of the league.

I'm extremely happy about the news about my knee. I was thinking the worse, thinking about more surgery, thinking of the downtime all over again. The sprain is no laughing matter, but I can live without playin' ball for 2 months.

Question of the Day: What was the last game you completed and was the ending worthy of your efforts?

In other news...
Happy Birthday to the following OS'ers!

Enough about me, what's up with you?

Glad to hear your knee isnt too bad. I went in recently about my knee as well, thinking i would have to have surgery, but turned out it was my hip causing the problems. I was relieved, but also upset, becuse years from now i will have to have a hip replacement. Still, my knee hurts all the time, and really not much i can do except a few excercises.

Pistons losing to the hawks, kinda made me happy! Pacers keep losing to em, so they must be doing something right.

Last game i finished? I dont play much besides sports games, so i guess it would have to be the 2nd Prince of Persia on xbox. That game was awesome, and just when you thought it was over, you realized you were only half done.

Hi all,

Just got back from a vacation, well if you can call visiting one of your parents a vacation. I'm spending the week potty training my son. Any helpfull ideas would be apperciated.

Just got a Geforce 7800 gt card for my PC, it's pretty nice. I haven't had much time to mess around with it yet. Any suggestions about what games I should get, to show it off?

Have any of you guys been watching the NFL netwok from the Pro Bowl? Chad Johnson is the funniest guy around, How are you going to deal with 85? I'm already sick of Ray Lewis, I hope he never gets a network gig after his playing days are over, he reminds me of Bill Walton. Ray tell me another stoy about when you were at the Pro Bowl.

The last non-sports game that i completed was COD 2 for the 360, but before that it was Half-life 2 the endings were OK, but not great. I hear good things about F.E.A.R. so I might check it out. As for sports games I'm going to get that AFL game just to see if it is OK. It will hold me over until Fight Night 3 for the 360 comes out.

Have any of you guys hooked a PC up to a HDTV?

I'm still sick, but I have to go into school to complete a FBLA skills test. It's with another person so I have to go and help him out.

SD vs. Raw should be here today.

I got to sleep a lot too.

Just looking forward to getting out of here today. I got tickets to the Wings/Preds game tonight right behind the bench. Gonna drop the kids off and the wife are going to head downtown, grab some Italian, and hit the face-off at 7:30p. I haven't been to The Joe yet this season, so I'm looking forward to it.

Besides that just busy. My daughter turns 6 tomorrow. We already had her party last weekend, so we're just going to dinner and get her some ice cream. 6 years old... time does fly.

What was the last game I completed???

I finished "THE MOVIES" on my PC. Once you get into modern time it ends... but you can keep playing. Kind of nothing special.

---

I read a great review of MVP 06 NCAA Baseball on www.operationsports.com today. Damn... those writers have talent!

I was out of the office all morning, the day is flying by which is good. Went out to a local bar to watch the two college hoops games last night, tough loss for UNC.

Last game I completed? I think that'd be Syphon Filter 1 on PSOne. I haven't played non-sports games in years.

Last game I finished all the way through? Probably Jak and Daxter for PS2, which I borrowed from my uncle last summer. Very fun game, but the ending was crap.

Last game I finished with a halfway decent ending? Probably Metal Gear Solid 2; even though the plot was an unwieldy beast, at least it tied up most of the loose ends, save the cliffhanger at the very end.

More intramural basketball today for me. Hopefully we'll get a game this time; last time the opposing team only had three players show up for a 5v5 game. It was interesting to say the least.

Yeah, I remember you talking about that a few weeks ago. Hip replacement at such a young age.

Yeah, I beat that game as well. The last game I beat was Condemned for the 360. King Kong, just before that. I thought the endings were decent on both.

Potty training huh? I hear it's harder for boys than it is for girls. I just sat Nat on the toilet every few hours. Eventually she was trained. She had an accident the other day, but other than that it wasn't hard at all. I think I was lucky in that department.

They just released new drivers for your card, check out the "In Other News" section. I'd get Battlefield 2, it's great on the PC.

Yeah, F.E.A.R. looks great. I heard it was pretty good on the PC, I have thought about getting it. But I think I'm going to be picking up MVP 05, because of the new Mod that is out for it.

I've never hooked up my PC to an HDTV, but I know it's possible.

SD vs. RAW is getting some really good reviews. If I was into wrestling, I'd get it. I'm not into it all nowadays.

Enjoy the game, should be a blast behind the bench, NICE SEATS!

Happy B-day to your other daughter Clay.

When are you going to post a movie from "The Movies"? I thought you were working on one?

That UNC/Duke game was sick. Reddick is clutch, everytime he raises up behind the arc, you just know it's going in.

Good luck at the game tonight, hope they have at least 5 showing up, lol. I sure hope you guys didn't lose that game of 5 on 3.

I really can't think of the last time I finished a game...

# 14 shon @ 02/08/06 03:03 PM
The last game I finished was Resident Evil 4. Great game.

I have hooked up my PC to my HD Projector and it is great. It is clear and crisp. I have played Doom 3 on it and other games and I like to do it except I have to move my PC and that is sometimes tedious.

the last game i finished was HAlo 2 and the ending left something to be desired... I have A.D.D. when it comes to non-sports games, I always grow tired of them before I finish the game.

# 16 The GIGGAS @ 02/08/06 03:12 PM
Sigh, SD vs. Raw still isn't here.

# 17 SPTO @ 02/08/06 03:21 PM
Giggas you remind me of myself when i'm waiting for something in the mail. I'd wait a week or so without worrying about it then i'd start checking the mail box every day hoping for it to arrive. I'd suggest finding something to occupy your time.

As for me not much happening today. I did have some great food that I haven't had in YEARS last night. It's rice with mince meat+tomato paste and peeled eggplant. It's GREEEEEAT

I'm not the best at video games but I amazingly completed Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude. It wasn't the greatest game in the world but some of the jokes were REALLY good. The ending was ok, no great shakes. It's too bad the game didn't sell very well as I was hoping for a renewel of the Leisure Suit Larry franchise.

The weather is nuts down here, it's 83 degrees right now. There is a fire in Anaheim Hills and all the ash and stuff is being carried over here with the wind (I'm pretty sure we have Santa Ana winds right now, right CA people? ). Good thing I'm not like a lot of other high schools and when it was 56 degrees this morning I didn't wear a sweatshirt or jacket, I would've been dying had I done that. :y4:

Last game I completed was either Call of Duty 2 or Amped 3. COD2 was an amazing game and Amped 3 was actually a lot fun as well, it's shame there was no online for it though.

27 degrees here. Wanna trade?

COD2 is the last game I finished. It's actually one of the few shooter games that I have finished. I have to go all the way back to Metal Gear Solid 2 to find another.
