News Post

Dan's team won the game last night in a blowout. They won by 30 as everyone on the team scored at least one basket, well...except for one person, but he did throw up 5 shots in an attempt to score haha. It's good to see them win, but they face a very strong team on Thursday with an 11-1 record. If they can pull it off, they'll have a ton of confidence heading into the playoffs this weekend.

My knee is freaking killing me, I'm going to have it checked out later this afternoon, not looking forward to it.

Question of the Day: Do you have any strange habits or rituals?

In other news...

Yesterday was probably the most fiesty I've seen the forums as a whole in a long time, maybe ever. Things got quite heated on the Super Bowl discussion, though it was mostly good debating.

The radio shows are still going off about the Super Bowl, interesting stuff.

Strange rituals? Probably alot, most that shouldn't be made public.

I just realized this morning that my family trip to Disney is during the NFL Draft! Day 1 of the Draft will be my last full day there. What poor planning that was! Thank goodness for internet on the cellphone!

Strange rituals or habits.... Hmmmmm... Not sure if it counts, but I wear the same shorts whenever I play basketball, softball, or workout at the gym. Have had them since college. I guess that's kind of a ritual.

Strange habits: If I'm paying attention when I walk around on sidewalks, I try to miss every crack between the rectangles. Also, all of my money always has to be facing the same way.

- Well, this is shaping up to be a crappy week. Looks like my aunt is gonna lose her battle with brain cancer sometime within the next few days. She outlived the doctors' expectations, and I think it may be best for her because I think she's probably suffering right now. So, she'll be off to a better place.

- I think I'm starting to get sick again. Which I hate cause my g/f has a sorta weak immune system, so if I get sick, I gotta stay away from her.

- I get my money back from Paypal for the copy of NBA 2k6 I never got. When I get that, I'm gonna just go to Gamestop and either buy 2k6 or pre-order Fight Night 3.

- I bought a copy of "The Aristocrats" DVD last night online. Can't wait to see it. If any of you don't know, its got a ton of todays top comedians telling their version of one of the sickest and downright worst jokes ever. They all do it their own way and add their own touch to it. I know Bob Saget and Howie Mandell have funny versions, but everyone said George Carlin is the best. I'll judge for myself when I get it.

Well, thats it for now. I just have to decide if I wanna go to class til 5, or go home to console my mom if she's home.

I didn't go to school today, I felt like crap, I probably didn't miss much anyways.

I have to get my sports physical today for tennis, such an awkward visit to the doctor. :y4:

Strange habits or rituals, hmm. In tennis before I serve, I bounce the ball three times and then serve it. I guess that could be considered strange.

My day has really been just a normal Tuesday..got to work a few mins before 8..Which is good for me and then got on the computer and did some crap and boom it was allready lunch time. Got me a 6 inch club from Subway and im now back to work with not to much to do today. Going to the ladies tonight to watch American Idol..Not a favorite of mine but her whole family loves it so i guess i have to watch ....

Habbits...I think i'd considered this a weird habbit..After Each meal ..Breakfast , lunch and dinner i drink 4 glass's of water ..prob 8 oz and usually just as fast as i can to get it over with..I drink a lot more a day but itz just a weird habit i've had for the last say about a month..And itz worked out i've went from 230 in October to 205 right now in weight...Hope everyone has a good day

Well winter came to town in a big way yesterday. We got a lot of snow but thankfully it didn't stop me from going to buy Olympic clothing. Sadly, all the jackets were pretty ugly looking. I did buy a track suitish top tho.

I agree with the observation about the forum. I thought people from the PNW are supposed to be mellow, flaming liberals! LOL oh well at least it's healthy debate.

strange habits or rituals: Nothing comes to mind. I used to have my blanket with me every and cover myself with it. I've stopped that in the middle of last year tho.

I came home early today. I felt like I had the flu, what with the nausea.

Funny story about that. My aunt and grandmother are going to Israel to be in the Holy Land (their second time), and my grandfather can't drive cause he had gone through surgery.

So I was sick, and I had to get permission from my grandfather so my chorus teacher to drive me home.

And SD vs. Raw didn't get here..

Well, just got back from the doc. Looks like I have a sprained knee. I'll be out of action for probably around a month. I mean, I can walk, but w/ a noticable limp. I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooo happy I didn't retear my ACL.

This is serious question...how have they lasted that long? I tear through shorts all the time...how can you have only worn one pair...thats amazes me.

Glad to hear you're not too banged up Steve. I've definately had a handful of knee injuries where I was positive I tore something, thankfully every incident was just a sprain or extension or somethinn minor.

With the nth Pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions select, Santonio Holmes, WR, from Ohio St. University.

You won't miss much.

Just got back from my physical, surprising they didn't do the prostate (right?) check.

My doctor's so cool though, since I have scoliosis he was saying how later on in life I should look into yoga or something to keep my flexibility. Normally, doctors won't take the time to explain stuff like that to a kid getting his physical.

Yeah, mine is actually pretty bad. It's like a 65 degree curve at one point, but I really don't notice it, so no surgery is planned for it. My last checkup for the scoliosis showed that the progression had stopped, so hopefully that continues and I don't need surgery at all.
