News Post

Well, I lost another 2 games last night in my NBA 2K6 (Xbox 360) Fantasy League. Both games were close, but I just couldn't seal the deal. I'm now 1-3, lovely. I'm going to have to go on a tear if I want a shot at the playoffs. No matter what though, it's a blast!

The Pistons continue to roll, beating the T-Wolves last night. They are 34-5...yea...34-5, that is just amazing. They have Milwaukee and Memphis to finish off the week and then play the Lakers on Sunday. No 81 for you Kobe!

Who is going to seriously want Ron Artest? That guy is a nutcase, although he claims he'd love to play with Kobe and Phil in L.A. It must be nice to just sit around collecting checks. How can a player just flat out say, "I don't want to be traded to Sactown"... I mean, the NBA is a business, I don't see how Artest can just get his way, it makes no sense. It happens all the time in sports, especially in the NBA.

I don't follow hockey much, but it's sad to see Super Mario retire for the second time. He's been through a lot, I wish him the best.

Question of the Day: If you had all the money in the world, what would be the first thing you'd buy?

In other news...

Steve, what's up man?

If I had all the money in the world the first thing i'd get would be a jet with my own private pilot. Then I could go anywhere at anytime!

Speaking of money, I finally have saved up enough money for the XBOX 360. However, I'm still having a blast playing my XBOX1 and there are still games I want to play on it such as MVP 06, Half-Life 2, Winning Eleven 9 and even some old games I havent gotten around to like Sid Meier's Pirates...so I really might hold off until the Fall. However, I know at some point I'll cave and just get it like the idiot that Microsoft wants me to be!

Not much else going on...work is sooooooooo slow right now. I cant wait for the weekend to celebrate my wife's b-day...well that's all for now...pb

Hmmmmmm... realistically it would probably be a bigger house on about 100 acres.

Money for the kids college would be huge...

But, in terms of fun factor... I'd probably buy a Suite at The Palace, Ford Field, Comerica Park, and Joe Louis Arena and pimp them all out OS Style...

It's finally starting to get really cold here. I knew it would come in time for the Super Bowl. Bastages.

88 days left till my big Family Vacation to Disney. The kids are so jacked up for it. We were choosing out seats for the flight on Monday and the kids were practically doing cartwheels. Should be a blast!!!

Steve, I was watching that Pistons game too, it's like they can just win whenever they feel like it. I really hope no one gets hurt, and they don't mentally lose focus, because if they keep playing like this no one can beat them. I saw a random stat during the game, the Pistons point differential is like 9.1, and the team ranked 2nd in the NBA (Phoenix) was around 6.7. My numbers may be off, but the difference (2.5ish ppg) was the main point.

I've been enjoying my Xbox 360, though i spent more time last night setting it up for the media center connection. NBA 2k6 continually has moments where I go "Whoa", and COD2 is just flat out fun and intense to play. You really almost feel like you're there.

I also recommend the VGA cable for the 360, playing on my monitor looks much better than on my regular tv, and it's nice to have the ability to view in HD even though I don't have a HDtv. Kudos to Shawn for telling me that this really was a must buy.

If i had all the money in the world? First thing i would buy is augusta national, and make it my own personal golf course. No more waiting for tee times, no more waiting for people to play through. Now that what i call living.

I need that chair!!!

If I had all the money in the world..hmm. I would buy an island and move my family and friends there. I would buy OS off Steve and call it Operation Gangsta
Let's see, I would buy the Yankees and fold them. I would finally take 10 million and put it down on one bet of Roulette, red or black, I say black.

Finally snowing here, hasn't snowed in what's felt like forever!

Not a bad way to spend that money, lol.

If you have the chance to get a 360 do it, since they are hard to come by. Maybe by the time you actually find one, you'll be ready for it.

Happy B-day to your wifee!

OK...first of all YOU'RE FIRED!

Secondly, I guess I didn't word it right. I hate rebates because I am lazy, why send the receipt, the box UPC, the filled out info sheet, my detailed information to get money back? Why don't they just sell it for the cheaper price and make it easier for everyone. I know why, because they figure a lot of people are lazy, like myself. Well, if Best Buy is going to handle that sort of thing better and make it easier for me, THANK YOU BEST BUY!

Pimp them OS style huh? What would you put in them? OS Logos? LOL.

Good times at Disney! I'm sure you guys are just as excited.

I heard Billups say in an interview the other day, that they welcome the closer games, because the blowouts are boring, lol. Well, come playoff time, the games are going to be a lot closer, I hope they continue to focus as well. If they don't come out champs this year, it's a disappointing season, no matter if they get 70 wins or not.

So you are playing your MP3's and stuff on the 360 then? I need to set that up on mine one of these days.

I'm thinking of picking one of those VGA cables soon, some people are saying it looks better than HD, I'd like to check it out. Which one did you get?

Nice chair right? Lemme know if you get one. I'm really really leaning towards getting it.

LOL, Operation Gangsta?

Fold the Yankees, LMAO, that would be a treat.

ha -just have the picture in my head of Stewie going bezerk in the car when Peter takes him to DisneyWorld..

finally got my Sirrus radio to work better - just have the antenna in my bathroom window of all places..

if i had all the money in the world, i would use part of it to buy out the CEO of Disney!!! then a jet & yacht, & a nice house...... oh, and season tix to the Islanders & NY Mets games.. the rest would be given to my family...

oh- don't know if it got around to other places, but did anyone catch the story of the JV Basketball team that the season was cancelled due to what people consider hazing? that would be where I went to HS years ago...

if I had all the money in the world, forget buying a suite at Ford Field, I'd buy the team and the stadium. Hell, I can't do any worse than the Ford family has done over the past 50 years

All the money in the World:

I'd sell my house and buy a mansion with all kinds of bells and whistles. I'm a gadget guy so I'd have all kinds of toys (ie: voice activated lights, a/c, heat....everything). I'd also have to retire and do some traveling around the World.

Well, Pittsburgh is going crazy this week. Steelers in the Super Bowl and Lemieux retiring. First Lemieux - it was time. He wasn't the same player he used to be and he was only tarnishing his legacy by playing earlier this year. Then the heart problem. When the heart starts having issues, it's definately time to do something else.

Steelers - It's funny.... This is really my first Super Bowl here. I was too young in 1979 to know what was happening. I was in college in 1995 and away from Pittsburgh so I saw the game, but didn't see the city react. Talk about crazy around here. You can't listen to the radio for more than 10 minutes without hearing about the Steelers or hearing a Steeler song (in Pittsburgh when the Steelers make the playoffs, fans LOVE to make songs about the team). There's actually a hilarious Troy Polamalu song based off of an old Sesame Street song. Black and Gold days are more frequent and you'll see banners, flags, stickers etc... almost everywhere you turn. The office I work at is covered in black and gold.

So aside from that, I'm really looking forward to Fight Night Round 3 for the Xbox360 and 2K's baseball game. I can't get enough baseball in my life!!

Good links today, Steve! Was there supposed to be a chair on that one page? I was somehow distracted....

If I had all the money in the world, the first thing I'd buy is a straight up enormous house with all the high-tech gadgetry I could pile into it. I'd use Shaq's house for my rough model, but I'd steal stuff from the best episodes of Cribs. Especially the "TV embedded in the bathroom mirror" idea from Cuttino Mobley's mansion. Sportscenter while I shave!

I watched Villanova barely get by a tough USF team last night. 29% shooting, but we pulled out a win thanks mostly to our defense since USF shot 29% too. Ugly, ugly game, made even more ugly because I had to watch it on my PC thanks to it being on ESPN 360. Between that, American Idol, and watching another episode of Battlestar Galactica on DVD, I had no time for gaming last night. Sad.

Full day of work today, then headed to the Flyers-Habs game tonight. My dad's on a business trip and I originally thought he wouldn't be able to go, but he's coming back a little early to catch the game. He's a trooper!

Hey all...posting from school...

I've basically decided to take this day off, lol...too tired to do any work, and technically this is my lunch period (until 12:05...), then I only have one class to go (I'm a T.A. 6th hour)...

Everyone should check out my Hornets dynasty (***LINK IN SIG***), it's starting to roll smoothly, I've got my 3rd game on pause at home waiting to be finished.

I would probably buy the Seahawks.
