Other than work, not much going on. My knee is feeling a little better today, we'll see how it is at the end of the week, then I'll decide whether or not to have it looked at.

I'm 1-2 in that NBA 2K6 online league. I've lost 2 close games in a row. I had some connection issues last night, hopefully I'll get a few games in on that.

Question of the Day: What is the coolest thing you own? I think I'm going to go with my Treo 700w.

In other news...
Happy Birthday to the following OS'ers!
injunwal (31), Jedi Master 79 (27), azdbackfan (25), otero1 (16)

Enough about me, what's up with you?

Glas to hear your knee is feeling better. I thought several months ago I would have to have surgery on my knee as it was in constant pain for years. I went in and got an mri and xrays and found out it my knee wasnt the problem, but my hip. They said my hip looked like it should belong to a 60 year old, and i had athritis from years and years of basketball. Im only 29, so it kind of freaked me out. They got me doing exercises for it, and also im losing weight (lost 20 lbs so far). So far, so good, but they said eventually it is going to have to be replaced, which sucks. I feel like and old man and im not even 30! What online league in 2k are you in? I have been looking for something like that for awhile now with people that want to play real hoops.

Coolest thing I own.. Hmm, that's a hard one. I would say my DVD Recorder or my 360. I don't own it, but my Virtual Network from my office and home is pretty damn cool!

Last night I went to the Lake County Captains (Cleveland Indians A Ball team that I have season tix for) Hot Stove dinner last night. It was damn cool $15 a person, it was all you can eat hot dogs, burgers, chicken fingers, poppers, salad, and pop/water. Beer was $3. They had a silent auction and it was held in the locker room and batting cages for the team. They have a really nice facility for a minor league team. Anywho, at the event they introduced Lee May Jr as the new manager, almost felt like a press conference as he got his hat and stuff for the first time in front of the microphone and spoke about the upcoming year. Then there were 8 players there. They did a quick Q and A session, I wanted to ask Kevin Kousmanoff (was our top 3rd base prospect) about Andy Marte really bad, but didn't. The key players there were Kousmanoff, Ed Mujica, Fausto Carmona, Ryan Mulhern, and Jeremy Sowers. Sowers is small! I doubt he's even 5'9", he's also very quiet. Talked to him for like 2 seconds. Fausto can't speak English very well, but I swear he hit on my wife! I did speak to Kousmanoff for about 10 mins though, very cool guy. I ended up realizing I parked next to him in the parking lot. I asked him about Marte and he was happy for the Indians move. I told him that I thought Marte sucked and he should get his shot still. ( I was kissing a$$ obviously, because while Kousmanoff has one of the best bats in our organization, I could field better than him with two broken hands, but anyway) He said at least Marte got his shot in the majors and hopes to compete with him for the 3rd base job.

Also spoke with some lesser players like Tony Sipp and Jim Ed Warden... nothing to exciting there. There was a new guy, Pat Osborne, never heard of him, but he looked 18-19 years old, so I'm assuming he's on this year's team. John Farrell (our player development head) was there, talked to him for a second.

I gotta say, this was one of the coolest events I've been to, just wanted to share.

Coolest thing I own? I thought it was my jumpshot until it decided to disappear for the last 4 days.

Awful game in the adult league last night, we scored 42 total points and lost to an awful team by 4. I hit three treys the first three possesions to start the game, then I think I was about 2-17 for the rest of the game. I really need to stop lifting before these games, esp shoulders. I either shoot 16-20 or 3-20, not good.

I'm still in a bad mood from that. I can't handle losing to these wack teams in these leagues.

I bought MVP '06 yesterday, what a fun game. It took trips to four different stores before finding it in Target. It's definately strange not being able to blast 5 homers a game like in '05 and '04, but I guess that's how it is in real life college baseball. I don't have a single homer in 4 games yet, I suck!! Though I love the new hitting system, the older one was so unrealistic and way too easy. Hold up and in and wait for a pitch on the inside part of the plate. Time it right and you go yard 75% of the time.

I hope the Xbox rosters are done today (hell, they might be done right now but I haven't even checked) so I can start up a dynasty with UConn tonight.

Besides that it should be a boring, normal week. I'm not really looking forward to anything right now which is a serious problem for me. I need some sort of motivation and excitment on the horizon.

Coolest thing I own? hmm 1992 special Blue Jays World Series coke can.

Not much going on today. I stayed up and watched the election coverage here. We now have a conservative minority (BOOO!) and here's something interesting: in the city of Toronto proper only one Conservative MP was voted in. Pretty amazing huh, considering Toronto is the NY of Canada.

I'm calling a lawyer for advice on my disability benefits today to see if anything can be done.

I will also be walking down the street to Wal-Mart to pick up DALLAS Season 4 sometime this afternoon as well.

I forgot to mention that this weekend I went to Auburn for the weekend. They were having the 100th anniversary of Auburn basketball celebration thing. Since my father-in law played bball for Auburn back in the 70's we were able to attend all of the cool activities and mingle with former bball stars. I met coach Lebo and John Mengelt who has his jersey retired at Auburn, and also Wesley Person. Barkley was unable to attend but it was still fun.

Coolest thing I own? I would have to say it is my autographed Don Mattingly jersey. I actually was there when he signed it which makes it the coolest thing.

Other than that, same old stuff. I am looking forward to the Billy Joel concert on Thursday night at MSG. Should be great and getting up for work the next day should be even more fun.

Oh wow, hip replacement huh? Is losing the weight good for you or are you too skinny now? I'm in a league w/ a bunch of friends, we did a fantasy draft.

LOL, how's that "other" thing going?

I hear ya, I never lift before I ball, EVER. I am always stiff and way off after I lift. I hear it's much easier to get injured if you lift just before playing a sport as well, not sure how true that is.

I agree w/ you 100% on the hitting, the more I play NCAA the better it is.

Not looking forward to anything huh...I guess that answers my first question.

Good luck on the benefits, I hope things go in your favor.

Dallas? Um....I certainly hope you are talking Super Bowls here...

Oh wow, that must have been a blast! Too bad Barkley couldn't make it, too busy w/ TNT I suppose.

NICE! Did he sign it at a game or at some sort of show? Was it game worn?

Billy Joel huh? Who else is performing?

Yeah, I log on my home computer and can work from my work computer. Pretty cool if I have to do something and don't feel like coming into the office. Sure beats carrying a laptop around anymore!

Yeah, got a bunch and got a bunch of pictures. Some of them there will be stars, Jeremy Sowers and Fausto Carmona for sure.

I avoid it too!!!

There in my wife's camera, she wants to put them on our photo page, so probably in the next few days. I'm not in any shots, only the wife and her sisters. I thought it would be weird if I walked up to them and wanted my pic with them. Now if it was a major leaguer, I wouldn't have a problem.. I have no idea why.
