The Pistons got back to their winning ways last night, beating the Hornets. As long as they don't have to play the Jazz, I'm happy.

Dan had a basketball game late last night, we didn't get home until about 10:30. They lost by 3 in one of the worst officiated games I've ever seen. The calls were horrible. This one time, the ref called an "And 1" and the ball never even went through the hoop. After the coach yelled and screamed and the refs huddled up with the scorekeeper, they changed it to the right call, but all the other calls in the game were going against us. It was unreal. We'd get called for carrying or traveling, but the other team was doing the same exact thing, they were never whistled. The team can't blame it on the refs though, they missed a TON of free throws and easy wide open looks. They are now 3-2, but they are pissed off, haha. I'm sure on Saturday, their next game, they'll let it all out on the oppositon. At least, that is what I'm hoping for. Dan had a decent game, but turned it over a little too much at the beginning of the game. Other than that, I think he did fine.

Oh, I almost forgot. Nat has her own bed now. We actually set it up 2 nights ago. She actually LOVES to go to bed now. Usually she complains and whines, "I don't want to go to bed daddy!"...blah blah... Now it's like, "YES! Let's go to bed!". Of course, this means she's getting older and bigger, I'm so not looking forward to her high school days.

In other news...

LOL with the bed thing. I was helping my Brother set up a bed last week for my neice. She was always like Nat with not going to bed, but that night she was in bed at 7:30. That was a first!!

Knicks run their streak to 4. You can tell the things that I thought were positive signs are now becoming reality. Nice win over the Cavs....But still a long way to go. I would love to see them sneak into the playoffs as an 8 seed and go to Detroit in round 1. You could see LB willing them to a game one win only to lose 4 straight to the Pistons. I would make for some good TV.

Where did Nat sleep before she had a bed? Floor? Drawer? Recliner? No wonder she didn't like to go to bed.

Work sucks. We have a major theft issue that we are investigating. I hate stealing. I hate people that steal. It's the most blatantly selfish act on the planet.

Booked my airefare for my family vacation to Disney that's coming up in April. Got a great deal. Direct flights. Good times. Great deal. I don't know if my kids are more excited about going to Disney or going on their first airplane trip. Whenever I travel on business, they always ask me 100 questions about the place I was on... and my little one always wants me to bring her home my peanuts.

What's up with you?

I'm jealous Clay, Disneyland/world kicks butt. It's the happiest place on Earth! Take a ride on Space Mountain for me....

Hectic day at work today, which I don't mind because it makes the hours fly by. I have a $200 gift certificate to Best Buy burning a hole in my pocket with several recent movie releases that I want to buy, so I may sneak out there at some point this afternoon. Otherwise, just biding my time until Flyers/Hawks and Sixers/Jazz tonight. Although I really can't get into watching the Sixers this year....despite my love for Iverson, that team is just so stunningly mediocre this year.

Ric Flair has a booth at Disneyland/world? :y4: (Ok that was silly don't mind me)

Anywho another update on my uncle (I promised to paste what I wrote last night in my thread)

Things are looking a bit better. My uncle didn't have the surgery as the family asked for info and asked if it was cancerous. The doctors don't know what it is but the good news is whatever it is seems to be dissolving now. They'll be using a camera to see exactly what it is tomorrow and if it's nothing serious then he'll be able to go home in a few days.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts and prayers. It was much appreciated.
Anywho i'd still be sleeping if it wasn't for the damn phone! Oh well might as well stay awake while i'm up.

Nat is a lucky little girl. A lot of years I had to share a bed with my sister then we got bunk beds. One time I had an older cousin come over to my house for vacation and he was on the top bunk and he rolled over and fell off! That was pretty funny.

It looks like we're not going to get a winter in my neck of the woods. The chief climatologist for Environment Canada was noting that it's not a January fall but a heatwave. He did say it's not record temperatures but the persistence of the warm weather is remarkable. We're supposed to have warmer then normal temps all the up til March.

Well I know this was a bit haphazard...I need a coke!

well nothing once again new here- watching the Family Guy DVD's - that's about all.. speaking of Disney, my parents & my bro (along with his g/f) are down there right now - dad & mom for a business trip - all the while i get to stay back on LI .. usually the best times to go are around March & April - hate standing in long lines.. but also with my job i get some more perks on my travels.. that's cool to hear she's got her own bed now Steve - you are right.. kids do grow up too fast (my one niece is already five). .where does the time fly.. lol - officiating is bad even at the "kid" level.. i loved to play in games where the officals where people from the other team.. talk about "poor" officiating..

glad to hear things are looking better for your uncle, SPTO..

whats up?

Well, I'm up early getting ready for class. This is the first week, so I need to look good, and go into every class and try and sit next to the best looking girl(s).

Well, another day, more job interviews. I've interviewed with a Marketing company about a month ago and they offered me a job, but it sucked and the money sucked so i turned it down. Today was an assistant manager job at the ebay store in Knoxville, which I think could be kinda cool. Next up is a job with Ed Financial, kinda like Ed South, big on school loans. Not collections, no more collections for me, that sucks balls. Anyways, that's whats up with me

Oh yeah, I also picked up DOA4 for the 360 today. I've never really been into the 1v1 fighting games, but I've been hearing so much about it, I had to give it a try. If i don't like it, its off to ebay for it. Plus it was free because I got a preorder for Gears of War for Christmas, but since its back to July now, I just transfered the money over to pick this game up. I'm anxious to try it out.

I've been hearing from a lot of people how the job market sucks right now (in various fields). It must be a North American thing. I was looking at job postings a few weeks ago and I saw one ad that said a University degree was a must and the pay was .... 2200 a month. I'm sure most agree a University Degree (okay maybe not a Philosphy degree) should be worth more than $26,400 a year.

24 straight days of rain here. But I'm use to it.

I have to see the dentist later this week. I have to get 2 fillings. That's 300 bucks down the drain. I realized my current appointment is during the Hawks/Skins game so I'm going to have to change it.

# 15 RockyTop1 @ 01/11/06 02:08 PM
No doubt the job market sucks right now. You pretty much have to sell insurance or work in collections around here to have any luck. I did the collections/customer service crap for about 7 months and it was about 6.5 months too long...people crying once you threaten to reposess their home starts to wear on you after a while.

Dude, if the Xbox is only 100 bucks, I might just buy another one so I can play MVP 06 NCAA.

Today's my last day with the splints in. Tomorrow I get this plastic bars basically pulled out of my nose. Probably going to bleed. Bleed a lot.

I'll be calling Xbox Support tomorrow after they told me to call them after I sent them an email about my NBA scratching thing. Maybe they'll send me a new copy or something.

Yeah, that would definitely be some great TV there. I wouldn't mind seeing it myself. Cavs just aren't the same w/o Hughes in the lineup.

LOL. She slept on her back for the most part.

Stealing huh? What exactly are they stealing? Laptops, wallets, your underwear, stash of dirty mags?

Disney, that should be fun! What kind of deals did you get?

$200? Nice! I'll take a few Xbox 360 games, thanks!

Iverson is always fun to watch, unfortunately, I haven't seen the Sixers play much this season.

Glad to hear your uncle is doing better, at least that is what it seems, I'll keep him in my prayers.

LOL, fell off the top bunk huh? OUCH, haha. I hated sleeping on the bottom bunk, it always felt unsafe to me.

The winter weather has been strange here as well, 60's one day, 30's the next. Crazy.
