News Post

What a horrible Saturday. First I get to watch the Skins beat the Bucs. The Skins offense didn't even have to bother showing up. Next up I get to see the Pats absolutely embarrass the Jags. What a pitiful performance by the Jags, pitiful. I sure hope the games today are better. I'll be pulling for the Bengals and Panthers.

If those 2 games weren't sick enough, the Pistons lost to the Jazz last night. The Stones now have 5 total losses this year, 2 of them to the Jazz. I'm not sure what it is about them, but they seem to give the Pistons a ton of fits. Oh well, at least they don't have to play them the rest of the way, unless they meet in the Finals, heh.

I played some NBA 2K6 with 2 other people last night, as we played on the same team. Man, it's hard to get a rhythm, have you tried it? It's definitely fun, but it's a lot harder than you think.

In other news...Got some news links of your own? Post it here!

My dad and I finally got off our behinds and put up a wall unit to store all of our bobbleheads...it's right beside our other wall unit with all the autographs. If I can find my digital camera (yeah, that's sad, but I have no clue where it is), I'll post a picture. There's 65 or so bobbleheads, and well over 150 autographs.

Also, I have some good prop bets on the Cinci-Pitt game today. Should be interesting how those pan out.

Not a whole lot happening here today. The Giants game just started (not that I am a Giant fan, but I would still like them to do well) and the Knicks tip off in seconds. One of those lazy days, which there aren't too many of when you get married.

Oh wow, I'd be very interested in seeing that. On the autographs, did you get them personally signed or are they something you bought w/ authentication or whatever they call that? Either way, pretty cool stuff!

I'm going to do some chores around the house at halftime. Mostly need to get some of these trees and bushes trimmed.

Yeah...I don't even know if I have a digital. My cell might be one, so I'll try that tonight.

For the autographs, my dad used to work at a insurance place right besides the Toronto Hilton, where all the teams from, basically, west of the Mississippi would stay (baseball) and so would the Canucks, Red Wings and Blackhawks from the NHL. He knew the secuirty guy, so the guy would let him and his friend down there, and as the players came down for lunch, they'd all sign (apparently, everybody's much nicer when there's no mob of people). So, around half of the autographs are from there, and we have some really good ones like A-Rod, Griffey, Thome, Ramirez, "steroids row" (I-Rod, McGwire, Canseco, Palmiero and Juan Gonzalez), and also some good hockey ones like Bure, Yzerman, Shanahan, Roenick, Belfour (I was there when we got all the Blackhawks. I somehow ended up having lunch with Ed Belfour, and asked him to get a shutout. He then went and gave up 6 goals in a 6-5 loss to Toronto ).

The other half are either from at the stadium (most of the Blue Jays), card shows (mostly hockey players, like Bobby Hull, Gretzky, etc.) and just pure luck (me forgetting to take a MLB baseball out of my jacket going to a nightclub and seeing Roy Halladay there). I don't think there's one autograph that hasn't been signed in front of either my dad or me.

Yeah...I have hockey in a couple hours, so when I come back, I'll check again. I really hope my cell has a digital camera capability (I'm 60% sure it does).

I forgot to add, only two players that I know of ever said no at the Hilton. Rickey Henderson (who I ended up getting at a game once), and Bo Jackson. Thus, I don't know if I like or hate Bo.

Wow, very cool. I'd like to see the setup you have, so hopefully you can get a pic. I've seen some very nice displays, almost begging me to get back into collecting.

Bo knows autographs. I'm sure you have a camera on the phone, almost all of them do nowadays.

I've been playing Kameo for a while. Don't sleep on the game, it's very engrossing. I've gotten 200 gamerpoints from it and I've barely unlocked 1/4th of the achievements.

I'm thinking about grabbing King Kong, Steve, was it fun?

I'm going to have to spray a saline solution into my nose today a lot. 4 sprays per nostril, 4 times a day. And they say there isn't fun in life any more.

I'm going to have to run my copy of NBA 2k6 through my GameDoc. There were some scratches on it.

My 360 scared me earlier: it gave me an error message and one of the ring was red. But I turned it off and on and it worked.

I'm sad.....STUPID VINCE CARTER!

Other then that i've been watching the playoff games all weekend. I saw the movies last night that I talked about. They were great.

I'm now hoping the Cincy/Pitt game is more competitive.

Steve, yesterday Redskins and Patriots won so my pick is a success. Last night, I watched the SoCal Supremacy and late in the game Smush Parker snatched it to dunk the final or game-winning basket. Going to school tomorrow after 3-week off. Finally!

Watched 40 Year Old Virgin last night...funny movie, but not quite as funny as people made it seem.

Its supposed to be winter, but we have another day close to 80 degrees hre. Crazy. We will end up with like 2 weeks of "winter" and thats it. Its already spring.

I couldn't get into Kameo, of course I only played it for about an hour. Felt too "Kiddie" to me, I dunno.

King Kong is awesome, I think you'd love it.

Nice picks, so far the Panthers have won and the Bengals are up 10-0. Both teams I was rooting on to win today. Have fun at school!

That's the only reason I don't think I'll rent it, I think people have overblown how funny it really is, or maybe you just have to be in one of those goofy moods to watch it.

Wierd weather here too. Not 80's, but around 50. I love it tho, I hate cold weather.

Last day of vacation..

Just finished Wedding Crashers, what a great movie. Sort of turned into a chick flick in the end, but I still found it great the whole way through. Owen Wilson is one of my favorite actors for sure, loved his role in the movie. Also, Rachal McAdams...my god, I'm in love with her.

Tomorrow is going to suck, I have to wake up at 6 am for school. I'm gonna be a zombie. :y4:
