News Post

Yes, we are still here searching the internet for news. Unfortunately, there aren't many sites updating at this time of the year, but we'll keep looking.

Wow, what a crazy Alamo Bowl last night huh? Michigan had about 7 or 8 laterrals and got it to around the 13 before the game was over. There were all kinds of players from Nebraska on the field, I was shocked there wasn't a penalty, I'm sure the Wolverine fans (Clay?) are pretty upset about it. It was a great game, but the Wolverines were up by 11 in the 4th quarter, so they can't blame it all on the missed call on the last play of the game, but it sure wouldn't have hurt things, lol. I thought they were going to score, it was crazy.

The big Heat vs. Pistons game is on tonight, I can't wait. Both teams are looking good, so it should be a very good test to see how good both teams really are. Go Pistons!

Dan was playing NBA 2K6 on the 360 last night while I was trying to organize some things. He zoomed in on a few plays in instant reply, good god man. The graphics are insanely good in this game.

In other news... Got some news links of your own? Post it here!

That finish was crazy, but I'm glad Michigan lost..

My 2 1/2 week vacation is almost over, it's already Thursday, why is it that vacation flies by but when you are at work, the 8 hours take days it feels like?

Nothing else is going on, getting ready for New Years. Nothing crazy, just going over my Aunt/Uncle's house and watching some movies until 11ish then watching the ball drop. I live such a wild life! LOL

Steve you posted that Bills story to piss me off right?

Anyways nothing too exciting today, going to rent a video game and await the WWE 24/7 schedule to refresh later on.

I dunno what i'm doing for NYE, probably go out to see family and such.

What a crazy way to end the Alamo Bowl it kinda reminded me of that Cal/Stanford game from years ago where the marching band was celebrating prematurely.

LOL, yup. I knew you were a Bills fan Nivek too, but he rarely posts here, heh...

Yeah, that ending was very similar and almost happened again.

Woke up, apparently my grandfather's been sick to his stomach, and since my grandmother needed to go open the church, I have to deal with him if he needs anything. I'll be going to bed earlier tonight thought, slept from 4-10.

I wish it was NYE already so I could go to Walmart. I want my 360. I just hope they won't make me buy an overpriced bundle.

Looks like I should be getting the rest of the PCI Cards I need to make all the computers wireless today.

How many PC's do you have? lol

New Year's Eve.

I live in a house with 5 people, and we're kinda split up into 3 houses, really:

There's my mom and me in part of the house, then my grandpa and grandma in another part, then my Aunt Anne in the other. I have 1 computer, my mom has a computer, my grandma has a computer, and my Aunt has a computer.

So I'm going to put PCI Cards in every computer except mine (already did that).

Hey guys whats up!

Thoroughly enjoying my time off away from work. I have been playing games like a mad man. Not only on the 360 but the xbox and ps2, I am all over the place.

My eyes have been really fatigued lately, I think its time for a trip to the eye doctor. I hope I do not need glasses, I really do not want to deal with them. Contacts are out of the question, it freaks me out at the thought of touching my eye!

Steve, did you get the beta for NCAA baseball yet?

I started looking into getting a new tv but everyone I read about I want. The wife thinks I am crazy but I want to play the games in HD.

Other than that things are quiet. The wife and I are going to spend a nice quiet evening alone for New Years. We did enough entertaining for Christmas.

nem, I agree about the whole touching of the eye thing. But I do wear glasses and I don't think they're so bad. You'll get used to them if you have to get them.

I wore contacts for YEARS. I finally gave up on them tho as my eyes would get severely irritated to the point that the next day my left eye couldn't open without experiencing tremendous pain.

# 11 The GIGGAS @ 12/29/05 11:09 AM
And hey, from my experiences, chicks dig glasses.

Yeesh I just found a disgusting story

2-year old gets drunk; baby-sitter charged

Quote:
PATCHOGUE, N.Y. - A 37-year-old man was charged with child endangerment after one of two toddlers he was baby-sitting was found drunk, authorities said.

Suffolk County sheriff’s deputies investigating a family court case peered through the window of a Patchogue home Tuesday and saw Juan Reyes passed out with the children wandering around the house.

They managed to rouse Reyes, who was the only adult at home with the two toddlers, ages 2 and 3, according to the sheriff’s office. The deputies said Reyes appeared extremely intoxicated.

The deputies also noticed the 2-year-old was having difficulty standing, had bloodshot eyes, smelled of alcohol and was lethargic.

The toddler was taken to the hospital, where tests revealed he was legally intoxicated, with a blood-alcohol content of 0.094 percent, the sheriff’s office said. In New York, a driver is considered drunk with an alcohol content of 0.08 percent or greater.

The second child was taken into the custody of Child Protective Services.

At the time, the children’s parents were at a hospital, where the mother was giving birth.

Reyes was arraigned Wednesday in First District Court in Central Islip and ordered held on $5,000 bail. He was scheduled to return to court on Jan. 3.

Robert Clifford, spokesman for the Suffolk County district attorney, said the children’s family lives at the house where the toddlers were found. Reyes also gave that as his address during his arraignment.

The district attorney’s office said Reyes was being represented by the Legal Aid Society. Calls to the society went unanswered Wednesday evening.

I read the story in the paper this morning. Patchogue is just 20 minutes south of me, its freaky when you hear stories that happen close to where you live.

Also, if you see the picture of the guy who was babysitting, he would not be an option for this type of task.

What's up fellas... been a while since I chimed in here, so here goes. Got a new 32" LG LCD HDTV in Piano Black. It looks so sweet set up as my gaming TV. I don't know how I ever played the 360 w/o one. I'm going out to buy a few new games today, as Saturday is my birthday. I'm not looking forward to another year behind me. That's just saying I'm getting too old to ball at a high level anymore, lol.

I guess everything else is pretty much the same. I'm starting a job search again. I have been back in school, and while I intend to finish, I'm going to only go part time now... There are a few opportunities out there, but where I live, that's ALL there is... A FEW.

In sports... Cavaliers stunk it up against the Nets, but I still have faith in them. The real test is this Saturday. Hopefully the Wine & Gold can give me a good birthday win. Steve, call your boys and tell them to take it easy :y4: I'll call Lebron and the fellas to tell them to put forth their best efforts

Back on the gaming front ( I know, I'm just hopping around like a rabbit on a skillet, lol)... Steve, what are your impressions for King Kong? I'm wanting a few more games for my 360 that will show off my TV... I'm pretty set on Call of Duty again, but I don't know what else. I've already beaten GUN, which was great I might add...

That's all in Will's World... what's up with you?

# 17 The GIGGAS @ 12/29/05 11:30 AM
WTF, you're saying Gun was good? I heard it was like GTA but in the Wild West...

BTW, it's not what the ****, but your name is WTF, but you probably knew that.

# 18 WTF @ 12/29/05 11:38 AM
:y4: Oh yeah Giggas, I loved GUN. It was one of the most fun games that I have played. I couldn't put it down. It was extremely addicting and the gameplay was fun. I'd definately recommend it to anyone. It was fairly short, but I will end up picking it up again when it hits the bargain bin, or if I can find it cheap used somewhere.

Alright, you sold me. It's going on my Gamefly Queue.

Update on my grandfather: He's left for the emergency room. Apparently my grandma called the doc and he said to go to the ER.

I was in the room when he started vomiting, and it almost made me sick. I hate it when people vomit.
