News Post

After returning a few wrong size, didn't want, hated Christmas presents yesterday, me and Dan went out to see King Kong. I honestly didn't really feel like sitting for 3 hours, but I didn't have anything better to do, so we ventured off. The first 20 or 30 minutes were kinda boring, but after that, it was a pretty good show and it didn't seem like I was sitting there for 3 hours. The seats were actually fairly comfy, I usually can't sit still for 30 minutes, much less 3 hours. We made it through and we both enjoyed it.

The Pistons play a warm up game against the Raptors tonight (Sorry SPTO, heh) as they get ready for the Heat on Thursday. I can't wait for that game! 22-3, that is just a SILLY record man, SILLY!

It was kind of wierd seeing the last ABC Monday nighter last night, wasn't it? I wish they showed more highlights of passed games as the game was ending. There have been some great MNF games over the years, surely they could have come up with something. Oh well.

Back to work...

Back to work...

:

I swear, anything over a two-day weekend is just a tease. It gives you a taste of the good life...then....YANK....back to work!!! Bastages.

My office is like a ghosttown this week because all of the Non-Management has to burn their personal time before January 1st. So, it's basically me, the other Senior Managers, and the *******es who burned all their time before July.

Christmas was fun with my girls. They had a blast. They dug all of their gifts and they're going out with the wife today to spend some giftcards.

Well, the wife made it a perfect 8 for 8 on Christmas' we've spent together. She's just the lamest gift giver. I love her. I appreciate everything I get. But... COME ON!!! She bought me socks. Underwear. Two belts. Some shirts and sweaters that are totally not my style (we have a HUGE difference of opinion on what looks good). Woman can not catch a hint. No DVDs. No PC Games (for the new system). No Electric Razor (8th year in a row). I'm starting to think she's doing it on purpose. I'm like the Susan Lucci of Christmas gifts.

Luckily, my Staff hooked me up with a copy of "The 40 Year Old Virgin" and a big Best Buy gift card. I hit Best Buy yesterday and loaded up. I had the gift card and a bunch of Reward Zone $5 off coupons, so I stocked. I got:
-- Some blank DVDs
-- "The Movies" for the PC
-- Sliders Seasons 1 & 2 (the only "Sci Fi" show I ever liked)
-- That 70's Show Seasons 1, 2 & 3

They hooked me. I need to give them raises. Maybe I'll get a bigger gift card next year.

By the way, "The Movies" is a pretty sweet game. I only got into for about 50-55 minutes last night, but I really enjoyed it. Plus, it's a beautiful thing to have the new system and be able to crank the graphic settings up to extreme. I'll lose a ton of hours on this game.

Michigan v Nebraska is coming up. Looking forward to it. Wish we could have seen it 8 years ago (cough...playoff...cough), but I love my Wolverines. Even in mediocre years like this one.

Lions looked painful again this weekend. Although Big Baby dragging about 11 people into the endzone on that fumble return was my highlight of the year.

Pistons are the Pistons.

What's up with you????

After putting in some time at work yesterday, I decided I'll just take the rest of the week off. My wife is a teacher, so she's enjoying her winter break, too.

We had a great Christmas. My youngest is only 1, so he really doesn't grasp the concept of Christmas (Presents!), but oldest (2 years) is starting to. It was hilarious watching him open his gifts, and yell "Oh man!".

As for me, the in-laws gave me one of those videogame rockers, and a panoramic of the last Eagles regular season game played at Veterans Stadium. Both were unexpected, but I'm more than pleased with them. The wife gave me some clothes and cologne. Nothing out of the ordinary. My parents gave me some gift cards to Circuit City and our favorite Tex-Mex restaurant.

The College Football bowl season is starting to pick up some steam, so that has me excited, as does starting 5-1 in my company Bowl Pick' Em. The Flyers are playing great hockey, and have finally taken over first place in the Atlantic. It appears that we're starting to get healthy too.

The Pistons, well, they'll win 70 games. As scary as it sounds, they're better this year than the year they won it all.

The poster above me forgot to mention the entire name of the movie he received from his staff.

"The 40 Year Old Virgin: A Clay Shaver Story"

I'm....to sexy for this shirt....to sexy for this shirt..to sexy..it huurrrts!

My bad, forgot, no flaaaaaming.

Anyway, Clay, my girl and your girl must have the same taste. I get new pairs of undies and socks every year along with some slippers. Its gotten so bad her aunt got me some boxers to. I guess I gotta model them for her. *shudders*

Anywho, this chritmas was more for my daughter than anything so she made out pretty good. She got a nice selection of toys to go with her already huge assortment of toys scattered about the living room. She's so spoiled now she tries to set off each noise maker at the same time for one big chorus of ear splitting noise. Almost succeded to.

Work sucks, I'm pretty much in the negatives for vacation and sick time so I gotta ride this one out till eternity. Nobody is here, I forgot to bring a lunch, I have no money...but I do have a crap load of gift cards for store credit only. Oh joy....I wonder if Best Buy has pizza slices and fountain drinks?

Yup, same here. There are only about 6 people here including me. It will be like this all week. I have plenty to do, so the time will continue to fly by, that's OK w/ me tho. I can't stand not having anything to do.

haha Poor Clay, don't forget bro..."It's the thought that counts"...heh...

The Giggas loves "The Movies" too. When is the first show going to be online Clay? I'm sure it's gonna be hilarious!

LOL, they need to put Big Baby in on goalline situations, that was awesome haha.

Haha, Nat ripped open her gifts in nano seconds, it was funny too. She'd say, "I know what this one is" before she even opened it. I'd ask her, "What is it?" She'd say, "I don't know yet"...HAHAH!!

How is that video game rocker? I've seen a few of them, which one did you get and is it comfy?

Yeah, the Stones are really looking good this year. If they can stay healthy, I see at least 65 wins.

Yeah, Christmas is all about the kids as you get older. I don't even worry about what I'm getting anymore. I just love to see the smiles and excitement from the kids.

LOL, I don't think Best Buy has pizza, but maybe you can give a $20 card to someone at the office and in return, they buy you a few pizzas for the week, lol.

.. poor, poor Clay... i can see a commerical in your future... "for only the price of a cup of coffee, you can hel get Clay something special for next christmas".. "dontate .70 a day"...hehe

anyhoo, i agree - i cant believe that last night was the last "Monday Night Football" on ABC.. just seems strange - how ironic too the Jets lost by the same score as when they opened Monday Night Football.. Good thing about the "Kong" movie - through two of my xmas gifts, i got two free tickets -so tomorow I am going with a buddy of mine (who keeps taunting me because he got his 360 already) to go see the flick..

It's the AK Videogame Rocker. I was able to get a couple hours in yesterday, on the 360, with it. It's comfy.

I got some pretty cool gifts. The new roady XT radio, Knicks dynasty DVD, new laser mouse, an old school "Memphis Pros" shooting shirt.

The funny part is that my unborn child (due in March) got more presents than I did!!
Did your wife see you crying over football?????

If she did... you'd better cry when the baby is born or you're screwed!!

You don't want 20 years of "...oh so you cry over a stupid football game, but not over the birth of your own child..."

What's up.

Christmas was pretty good. Got a Channing Fry jersey, money and some DVD's.

Knicks continued to suck with another pathetic performance last night.

Same with the Jets. Hopefully that continues, as they still have an outside shot at the #1 pick.

I really want to get a 360 now. Showed up at Target when it opened today and tomorrow, and plan to do the same the rest of the week. Hopefully they, or somewhere else, get a shipment soon.

I wonder how I will make an appearance.

Christmas good for me, I got my present in November (360), so I didn't expect a lot. I got $50, some clothes, and some Seinfeld DVDs.

I'm gonna use the money I have and pay for like 70% of these shoes I need for tennis.

Tonight's the last night my sister is home, so we're going out to eat tonight as a family and then she leaves tomorrow.

I woke up at 1... gonna set up my grandma's new GoPhone later. I'm glad the Movies is cool to you guys. It may take a bit of time to get into it, but hey, it's so fun!

You should sign up online with Lionhead.

I finally saw KING KONG!

Sheesh the complaints about the first quarter of the movie is very much warranted. I nearly fell asleep! Overall I thought it was overhyped but it's still a very good movie. I can definitely see it winning technical awards at the Oscars. Other then that life has been back to normal, you know boredom.

Tho i'm a bitt miffed as I didn't get to watch the last MNF game ever on ABC as the cable company chose that, of all nights to do maintenence

Oh well.....
