1up has posted an MVP 06 Dev Blog.
"First off, I'd like to thank 1up.com for the opportunity to do something like this and congratulate you guys on your Spike VGA award. Pretty cool that we have televised awards now huh? Well this blog is a first for anyone on Team MVP so I'll do my best to try and catch you up on a pretty crazy year. First off, it's always rough, especially when your finaling, to find out your game has lost its license. It hit us all pretty hard. Mostly because we truly felt MVP was the best baseball game we had ever made and that we might not get the chance to make another one. But it wasn't long before we started exploring our options and thought about making a college baseball game. There were definitely some risks involved. We would no longer have recognizable players. No more professional teams or stadiums. And this would be the first College baseball game ever. But NCAA baseball is getting more and more popular, especially with ESPN's increased coverage, and well obviously the "powers that be" decided to give us, and college baseball a shot."
