News Post

Not much going on today, we are having a Christmas party here at work, so it will be a lazy day. I'm bringing in my daughter when the food starts rolling in, she has come to the Christmas party every year, she loves it here, everyone is so nice and friendly to her. Last year she picked my "Secret Santa" gift and we actually have rules not to think the gift is yours, because the person next on the list could actually take your gift, then you'd have to take another. Well, last year she opened up my caramel popcorn and chocolates before anyone had the chance to take them from me, LOL.

I tried once again to play some King Kong last night, but again the meds knocked me out, so after getting stuck in one particular area, I called it a night. Don't worry EG, I didn't get very far at all, actually... I didn't even complete the stage I was on, maybe I'll give it a go tonight, if I'm up for it. I actually had a good sleep and woke up before my alarm clock went off, that isn't normal for me.

In other news...Happy Birthday to the following OS'ers!
RahKhem, Yellow5 (37), rocker78 (17)

Enough about me, what's up with you?

Good, because I played a few games of NBA2K6 and didn't play any Kong. Whew, I was worried you would jump way ahead of me!!

Sounds like your Xmas party is like The Office. They picked a gift but someone else could take it, the IPod jumped all over the place. It was rather funny.

It's really cold again this morning, lot of snow coming this afternoon..joy! We already have 18 inches.

Heh, good. I thought you would go bananas on the game and be half way finished. I looked last night and I'm at 29%.

18 inches, as in 18 inches on the ground right now? That is crazy.

Yeah, 18 inches in my yard right now. Amazing amount of snow so far.

I think i'm 26%. So I'm right on your heels. Still amazingly surprised how good this game is. For me, it's the best movie game I've played.

Is it still snowing? Jeez... Almost time to make tunnels in the backyard huh?

Yeah, I'm quite surprised at how good the game is. Once I beat it, I'll sell it though. I never beat a game twice, I just never feel up for that. The last game I beat was Prince of Persia, lol. No wait, it was Gods of War! That game is SICK!

No snow right now... Thankfully.

Last game I beat... I beat God of War on normal mode. Um, Luigi's Mansion before that was probably the other game... I get bored too easily, but Kong has sucked me in. Oh, I beat both Halo's too.

Jeez, the last time I saw 18 inches of snow was way back in like 1996.

I've got a final exam in math tonight. I think I'm okay, but it's my first final and I'm sorta nervous.

Steve, do you live in Virginia (or on the east coast somewhere)? I always thought you were in a midwestern state...

And thanks, I'll try.

What's up fellas?

Steve and EG, is that King Kong game out in stores yet or do you guys just have betas?

I don't think I've beaten a game since Doom on the PC in like '95 or whenever. I think I played Syphon Filter on PSOne too, not a bad little game. It's been pretty much just sports games for me for a decade or so.

It is, it's border of TN. My Mom is a huge TN fan, while my dad was always a huge VA Tech fan. My whole family is scattered across the state though, some family from Norfolk.

Yup, it's the retail Xbox 360 version. It was out on launch day, I think.

Yeah, I'm w/ you. I'm pretty much only into sports games. I don't beat very many games, because most of them get a little stale. King Kong has been a blast so far. If you've never played "Gods of War" for PS2, I highly recommend at least renting it, the game is UNREAL.

well, we had a winter storm yesterday and got to leave work early for icy road conditions. well, we didn't get much sleet or snow over night so I went ahead and braved the icy road conditions to get in to work about 9:15. It wasn't too bad a drive. I've been behind at work since being off for two days for thanksgiving so I didn't want to miss today since I have a week vacation coming up after Christamas.

Last night, I played my 360 for about 4 hours straight playing COD and NBA 2K without any problems. I may have gotten lucky with my unit. In COD, I just finished the Russia campaign. Now i'm fighting in Egypt. I'm stuck trying to defend the the southeastern part of the small city that we're trying to keep contol off. I hold them off pretty good for a moment but eventually those damn germans keep coming and I can't hold them off. I gave up last night. I try again later.

That's it for now.
