News Post

It's Friday! The work week is almost over and my sore throat and cough I've had for the past 3 weeks is almost gone. Strange how it's lasted this long, but this morning was the first morning in about 3 weeks where my throat didn't feel funny. Maybe I've finally shook the bug.

Man, Parker went nuts on the Mavs last night, scoring 30. The game came down to the final shot, but Bowen blocked Dirk to seal the win. It was a great game, I was surprised they called Timmy for travelling tho, the NBA almost never makes that call.

In other news...Happy Birthday to the following OS'ers!

Enough about me, what's up with you? What are you up to this weekend?

Hey Steve, I love the "What's up?" feature. Work has been kicking my butt lately and with taking more grad classes at night, I don't get home until 11 PM. I am taking a mental health day (Gaming Day). I will get in a lot of NBA 2k6 and give some attention to some of my other games. Wife works until 5 so this will be a relaxing day.

Good thing, b/c the dreaded Christmas shopping begins tomorrow. We'll be out trying to get it all done tomorrow.

Even though their record sucks, I love the direction of the Knicks. Larry Brown is really laying a good foundation. I can tell he wants to unload Marbury and Crawford first thing he gets. It will be interesting if they come out smoking tonight against your Pistons (probably, only to get smacked in the 4th quarter).

Enough about me, what's up with you?

10 more work days until vacation!

It's cold here, VERY cold. We got belted with snow, looking out my office window and it's coming down.

Went to the Christmas lighting display in my local town, they have an old time downtown that looks really nice, has full glass store fronts and stuff. So, it's snowing light, big flakes, and it's cold. A band is there playing and Santa comes in on a carriage. As this is going on, I look at my wife and almost at the same time, we go "A Christmas Story". It really felt like we were in the movie. (A Christmas Story was filmed here in Cleveland by the way).

Other than that, not much is going on, just happy it's Friday.

While another day with the kids (Zach and Chole). I would have to say my wife made it look allot easier than it is. I can't wait till tommorow to see how the BCS turns out. Wouldn't it be a gas if Texas ans USC both lost.

My Sony HDTV did some strange things last night so I have to get someone out to look at it. I'm considering getting the VGA cable to play my XBOX360 on my monitor.

Speaking of cold it is freezing up here in good old Regina, winter is upon us and I'm not ready. I guess that's what you get living in Canada.

What's up with you guys?

Rain is in the forecast today.

I played the Madden demo, I actually found it fun, so I might go buy it today after school.

I didn't know that was shot in Cleveland, that's pretty cool. How much total snow you guys got so far?

LOL, I'd also like to see USC and Texas lose, I love BCS contraversy and that would make an all time high for it, if it happened.

What kind of wierd things is it doing? Is it fairly new under warranty?

It's definitely getting colder around here. I actually had to wear a jacket to work today.

Why you like rain, I'll never understand it.

Cool, it is a fun game, I just can't get over the small quirks that annoy me about it.

Yep, the downtown shots are downtown Cleveland, and the house is still standing, they are trying to make it a museum. I think the movie is set in Wisconsin story-wise, but to pay hommage to where it was filmed, they live on Cleveland Street, now you'll notice it the next time you see it.

At work, I would say 3-4 inches. It's falling like crazy though. We had about 7 last week that melted. We're already getting belted.

That's very cool. So how far do you actually live from there? I'm guessing it's a tourist attaction huh?

I'm sure we'll be getting our fair share of snow fairly soon. I never listen to the weathermen, cuz they are never right around here.

The house? It's about a 20 min drive from my home.

Here's a site about it.

My father in law wants one of those lamps so bad. My mother in law is like no one will get it. We both looked at her and went you can't be serious.

Dec. 2 already? Geez. I'm at my girlfriend's in Lansing. The snow won't stop it seems. I wanted to go out and get College Hoops but I don't really want to go out in the snow. I'm trying to convince my girlfriend to go to the sports bar on Sunday to watch Pittsburgh/Cincy. We'll see how that works out. I love fridays, no class, just studying and relaxing.

C'mon bro, show your manhood and go out in that blizzard for some CH 2K6. Don't be another BK.

Nah, I am still on the PS2. I was on the fence about 360, then wanted it too late. But after seeing the MLB06 preview, I am glad I held out. I love this year's offering and next year looks good as well. We'll see if finances (or wife!!) allow for 2 systems.

If the Knicks follow their pattern, they will play it close for 2 1/2 quarters.

This makes the second straight day I've gotten a BK comparison. Is he looking to adop 23 year old African American men? What kind of job does he have? Benefits?
