Well, the Boys won yesterday so I'm a happy camper today, still under the weather, but at least the Boys are tied with the Giants for the division lead. I honestly thought the Boys were somehow, some way going to lose this game. They showed basically nothing except for the nice opening drive. The offense has been very poor for 2 weeks now, they need to really get it together if they want to beat the Broncos on turkey day. I'll take 7-3, but they sure don't play like a 7-3 team. The defense has been fairly good, but they are getting NO pressure on the quarterbacks. It seems as though the opposing quarterbacks have all day back there, the only time we get pressure is if we blitz. I'm talking like the Boys lost the game and while I'm happy they won, I just don't see any spark or fire coming from this team. Julius looked pretty good yesterday, other than the 3 times on the goalline where he was stuffed. Seriously, I don't care how good or bad you are, if you can't punch it in from the one yard line on 3 consecutive attempts, that my friend is simply unbelievable. I would have went playaction on 2nd down, but who cares, they should have put it in the endzone. Gotta give props to the Lions D, but come on! Bah, I'll leave it alone, the Boys won, the Skins lost, I'm happy. Too bad the Eagles couldn't get that win against the G-men or the weekend would have been perfect. Are the Colts going undefeated?

Yep... camping outside for my 360 tonight :y4:

That's about all that's up w/ me. I don't know what it is about this elusive creature that is the Xbox 360, but for some reason I don't think it's meant for me to have one. 5 of my preorders got cancelled due to "glitches" in the respective stores' systems. My Mt. Dew order fell through due to incompetence from the other party... so now on this cold, rainy, dreadful day... your's truly will be camping in freezing weather, trying to capture this machine :y4:

Oh well, I guess if I don't get one, it's not a HUGE deal. There are more important things in life. With that said... I HAVE TO FIND ONE!

In other news, that's pretty much all that's going on w/ me today. I'm going to class this evening, and taking my mother to the Doc today, so I'm pretty busy.

That's it w/ me, what's up w/ you?

What a great day, 360 launch, picking it up at EB tonight! No camping, just going and getting it.

What a great weekend! Cavs win 2 games, both games they look fantastic. Larry Hughes is a beast! Browns shut out Miami 22-0, much better game to see live than I expected. Sat next to 2 Miami fans, they both flew up from Florida for the game, I kept apologizing to them...

That's about all that's going on here..

Ooops, almost forgot... OSU beat Michigan!!!!!!! Tressel is 4-1 against that team up north.

Yeah, she'll be alright. I have to take her to get a shot. She has misconnective tissue disorder and lupus so this is nothing new. Just have to take her to get the shots, so she won't have as much pain. They're going to SC to see my sister for Thanksgiving, but I'm staying here w/ my fiance'.

Anyway, man... I hope I get a 360 :y4:

Because they flew up to Cleveland to see their team shut out by the Browns. I kept telling them, how bad we are, and we can't beat anyone, yada, yada, yada. And we go out and shut them out. 2 things I learned though, Sage Rosenfels is the worst quarterback in the league. Gus Frerotte is the worst quarterback in the league not named Sage Rosenfels.

while I had a good weekend, the Detroit sports scene didn't fare so well.

Wings, Pistons, Michigan, Michigan State football and basketball, Lions all lost. Please, kick me while I'm down, fine, but please don't drop kick my kitten into the next county, that's just mean. Just a totally ugly weekend overall for all the sports teams, not really one of those "Rah Rah, go team go" times at all.

It's a good thing I was too busy to really know what the hell was going on, otherwise I might have been on suicide watch. Had a good date with the girl friday night, and then after the Michigan game I drove to Grand Rapids to say goodbye to a friend moving to Cali, along with a night with lots of drinking as a tribute to our college days.

Ok, I think im the only person not getting a Xbox 360 right away. OS is gonna suck for the next few weeks because no one will be on.....

Well, I was working all sunday on my english paper...got up early and finished it up this morning. It feels good to finally get it done and quit having it hang over my head. I'm headed back home tomorrow at about mid morning...then in the afternoon tomorrow I'm gonna go back to my high school and see all of my old friends. I think I'm gonna stay for basketball practice, too. Gotta keep up with the team and make sure they maintain the tradition of the past players They should be pretty good this year. Returning 3 starters and the other two starters this year got lots of minutes last year. So they will have a very experienced starting 5, but they do lack some depth. I'm actually thinking about doing a little coaching for my old high school this summer. I'm gonna ask my old coach if I can help out for the summer camps and stuff. But thats about all thats going on with me. I have a spanish "oral interview" today at 3. Basically, my teacher gives me a topic and then I have to talk about it. Its a 1 on 1 thing. But I think I'll do pretty good, because I always talk in class whenever we have discussions. So thats all I got.

well, just got to work!

I had a great weekend. First the Mavs destroyed the Bad Boys of Detroit on Saturday and my Boys handled the Lions no Sunday. It was ugly, but a win nonetheless. Bledsoe is struggling. His passes looked like McNabb's from that past couple weeks and nothing is wrong with him. The whole offense just looks out of sync right now. I'm hoping that we can put it all together this week for Thanksgiving Day. I have a feeling I won't be watching the game. Not for lack of trying, but I'll be at my in-laws home for Thanksgiving. My wife has a huge family so getting to the tube may be tough. I'll probably tivo it and watch it when I get back on Sunday.

I'm excited about the 360 launch being tonite. I can't wait. I'm glad I have work to keep me occupied because if I were at home, the wait would be too much. I just wish I could be off tomorrow. We already have 2 people out for the holidays so no way I could take off unless I called in sick. Oh well, I'll play for an hour or 2 tonight and go to bed.

That's about it now.

Back from Vegas and back in the office.

It's always good to be home... despite the pitiful performance by all of "my teams" this weekend. At least the Lions can save some face on Turkey Day if they can lay it to Vick again like they did last year. Won't happen if the Leo's D doesn't get healthy. When you are playing without 5 Defensive starters including your entire LB corp...you've got issues! Looks like another high draft pick this year... any good WR's coming out?

On the plus side, the over conservative Mooch offense will likely die this off-season as well. Too many weapons to play that BS style that hasn't worked in 15 years. Sorry, Mooch...your my Boy... but it's time. Take Tollner with you. I just wish whoever the new Coach is will keep Dick Jauron. He has done A LOT with what he was given on D this year.

Never thought I'd say this, but I am seriously considering NOT picking up my 360 tomorrow. I'm just not feeling these launch titles. I feel like I can wait till after Christmas without missing much at all. Who knows?

The wife is working on Thanksgiving (one of the trade offs of marrying a nurse - they work every other holiday) so I'm taking the kids "up north" to see my Pop. Don't always see eye to eye with him and his wife, but she can cook... so... I won't bitch.

What's up with you???

Lions D is the most undisciplined bunch i've ever seen. Good thing Bledsoe struggled as it should've been ugly. It's one thing to have a beat on the snap count but another thing when you're only successful jumping the snap 1/5 of the time. Where was the, "maybe we should just wait for the snap of the ball?"...lol. The refs did make a couple other bad calls against Detroit that went out way.

The Lions D YESTERDAY... but you can't judge the defense on 1 game. Plus, if you saw the Raven's D against the Lions.... THAT was undisciplined. Hall is good for one or two a game, but some of those calls were bush to say the least. The Lions D is actually very well disciplined, that was the enigma of yesterday. If Dre Bly and Earl Holmes (and the rest of the injured starters) would have been out there, they would have righted the ship.

BTW - The roughing the passer call on Lewis was the worst I've seen in YEARS! Not only did he hit with his shoulder, he hit him in the numbers and nowhere near the helmet. Cowboys are a good enough team to win without all the help. Unsportsmanlike Conduct because the Side Judge can't catch? No call when Roy Williams (the overrated one) hits Pollard before the ball comes? Cowboys got calls and no calls because they are the Cowboys. Lions got called because it was Special Teamers playing starter. No respect.

LOL! At least the date was good, so it wasn't that bad of a weekend.

It would be cool to do a little coaching, hope the coach will let you do that, good luck.
