Oh the joy of being a parent. Nat is sick. After being so cautious with what she wears during this crazy weather we are having, somehow she got the bug. She was complaining that her ear was hurting at about 6:00 in the morning. Gave her some Tylenol and she was fine after 30 minutes. Now she has a runny nose and just isn't acting like her usual playful self. I can't stand it when she gets sick, but that's just something us parents have to deal with. I bought her one of those Razor scooters yesterday, not the real thing, but a Barbie version. She was scooting around Toys R Us for a good 15 minutes yesterday, she loves it. At least it will keep her mind off of being sick.

Speaking of Toys R Us... It looks like I've scored a launch Xbox 360, thanks to ZXLT. He mentioned that Toys R Us had just started preorders for the 360 bundles. I went there right away and the manager said they had 4 of them. I was lucky enough to get there and preorder my bundle. It will come with a few games and a wired controller that I'll just hook up to the PC when the drivers come out. (Thanks Murph!) I'm just glad I don't have to wait in those crazy Walmart lines or a possible second shipment at GameStop. I'll probably end up going to work on the 22nd, but I kind of think I'm gonna catch a little cold or something.

Glad to see the Pistons 3-0 on the season. They manhandled the young Raptors squad last night, the game was never really in doubt. Tay was the hot man with 27, Arroyo was all over the place last night, I love his energy.

Wow, what happened to the Hokies last night? I was expecting a good game, but it was all but over at halftime. The title hopes go down the tubes for the Hokies, but steadily climb for the Canes. Too bad there isn't a playoff system in college football.

I washed and vacuumed the truck yesterday, it's lookin' pretty good, I must say. Since the Cowboys have a bye week, I'll probably catch up on some stuff around the house.

In other news...
Happy Birthday to the following OS'ers!

What's up Steve?

Heading off to Tufts to see my sister's soccer game, hopefully she plays, seeing how it's the finals, but they are 99% sure they'll get an at-large bid anyway.

Then I got the boys soccer team(my high schools) first playoff game tonight, so that should be fun. The got the #2 seed despite being 14-0-4, but hey...they can play the under-dog card because technically, someone's supposed to win.

17th birthday tomorrow, so that should be uneventful...I can go see R rated movies legally, at least.

Have fun and good luck to both teams! How old is your sister? Is this another high school league?

17, such a great age.

She's a senior in college so this is her last chance, and could be her last game, although being ranked in the top 10 nationally and #1 in new england for the entire season in Div III should get you an at-large bid even if they lose.

And yes...can't beat the wonderful 17...except for 18 and 21

What's up Steve?

I woke up this morning early, trying to figure out how much the Nets had blown out the Bulls by. I was surprised to find the new MVP while looking. RJ, Richard Jefferson did it again! This time, he converted a 3-point play that made the Nets win. Two nights in a row, Jefferson did it.

I'm hoping for one thing this season for two teams-

A: The Nets go to the Finals (which they probably will, at least EC Finals)
B: The Jets don't lose all the rest of their games (which they probably will)

I don't know. For some reason I feel good about the Nets' season. What about you all?

Ahhh, that is very cool! Do they still have women pro leagues? Is she trying to continue her soccer career?

Nope, this is it for her. She has the talent to try out for one of those small semi-pro womans teams, but she doesn't really have the size and she's currently in a brace and all wrapped up/doped up on meds/adreniline to even be able to play the last two games...something's wrong with her knees[the trainer has told her four different injuries each time she gets it checked]

The Nets are looking pretty decent early on. With RJ healthy they are a fun team to watch.

I was surprised the Pacers lost to the Sixers at home last night.

As for the Jets, I think Herm will get a few more wins this year before all is said and done, he's a good coach.

Ahhh, I see. Well, hopefully she can retire from the game as a champion.

Yeah I do too man...soccer's been her life for..well her entire life, so it'd suck if she left on a sour note, but we'll see.

Have a nice day watching football and stuff, luckily my Pats don't play 'till tomorrow, so I wont miss it.

Yup. I really hate looking at it.

Anyway, in my VT dyn, the bowl rankings have me at 5, under a 6-1 Texas team at 4.

Uh, WTF?

Oh well, with my luck, I'll lose to the Canes in my game too.

What's goin' on...

I just saw Saw 2 last night. Great movie. I haven't seen the first Saw, so I can't say if it's better or worse, but it's an amazing movie with many twists. It is pretty gory (especially if you don't like needles *shudders*), but I loved the way it turned out.

I also got around to seeing Amityville Horror on Friday night. I was expecting more, but it was a fairly decent horror. A good movie to take the girl to . It was also based on a true story, so that made me think a little bit. Not a bad movie at all.

I'm also hoping the Steelers can pick up another W today. It's coming down to the stretch so we need every win we can get.

I love Sundays...

I know what you mean bro.

I wonder how long he's going to be out... I wouldn't be surprised if they do the same thing the Bucs did to Keyshawn a few years back.

Yeah, gotta love the ZXLT baby! I'm sure I'll get rid of Kameo as well, unless my daughter somehow likes it

Unbelievable how so many OS'ers have seen this movie and I just keep putting it off, lol.

True story? I didn't know that, I did see that one. That's crazy tho...

Good luck, the Steelers are a completely different team w/o Big Ben, but I'm sure they'll come up w/ a win today.

Yeah the Amityville Horror story took place on Long Island N.Y.

Well, got up and went to 8 am service, just got home. Bishop Jakes was a bit long winded today. I'm usually home by 10.

Anyways, I'm glad that my Boys are on a bye week. I emotions and my heart need a break. It does suck that we don't play next Sunday either.

I've decided to offer up my xbox along with my accessories today. I'm going to keep Madden 06 and NBA 2K6. I'll be selling my console, 2 controllers, HD Pack, Action Replay, College Hoops 2k5, Madden 2005, MVP 2005, and NFL 2K5. Hopefully I can get $200. I'll have a buy it now for $250. I've thought about throwing in Madden 06 for anyone that uses the buy it now option.

We'll see!

Now i'm off to make my pick'em picks and set my lineup for my fantasy league. I'm about to give up. TO is suspended, Terry Glenn is on a bye. I think I'll have Steve Smith going and I picked up Finneran (Throw him the damn ball Vick, Crumpler is not your only receiver!)

That's all for now.
