Ahhhh, I had the house to myself last night and I gamed like I was 15 years old again. I stayed up until 2:00 in the morning playing NBA 2K6, NCAA Football 06, with a little bit of Madden 06 sprinkled in. Wifee and the family went out to see some family and I just chilled at the house. I haven't had a gaming night all to myself in quite sometime. I just got up at 10:00 and that is the latest I've woken up in a long long time. I feel refreshed and recharged, unfortunately it looks like a busy day coming up for me. Yard work and other chores need to be done and what better time to do it than now.

Update on my mouse frags, no kills last night. I'll keep them around for another week, if I don't catch any, maybe I'm in the clear. I may buy a few traps and set them in the basement, maybe those buggars are trying to be slick.

Just found out that my Samsung TV can support picture in picture. So I can work on the PC and watch TV in Hi Def in a little box in the corner. It's MEGA cool, I set that up last night while I had the free time as well. I need to pick up a long audio cable, but other than that, it's all setup. I can't believe how crystal clear it looks on this thing. It's not quite as clear when I go full screen, but it'll definitely work! It helps when you read a manual every once and a while, I never would have even known the TV had this feature if I didn't check out the manual.

Enough about me, what's up with you? Looking forward to the college football games today?

I need to get an LCD monitor, I would love to hook up my 360, HD, and PC on it. I have a tube TV now, it doesn't do native 720p, but I still love it to death, so I doubt I'll buying any new TV's anytime soon! LOL

My ala mater high school won a great game last night to go to 10-0. Haven't been undefeated in 21 years, last time, we went to state! Hopefully it happens again!

I played some gaming early today, got up at 7AM, couldn't sleep, 4 hours later, 2 NBA2K6 season games, 1 game of Blitz, and a little been of Land of the Dead later, and I feel great too!

Going on a haunted hayride later, should be fun. Looking forward to the OSU/Minnesota game, it's a HUGE game for the Buckeyes if we have any hope of a Big 10 title. That's what's up with me!

What's up fellas?

Well, last night I carved some pumpkins with my lady friend and came home and played some Battlefield 2 then crashed. Got up at 7 this morning and had some church stuff to take care of. Just got back from that and going to play a little more BF2 and then its nap time. Then out to the UT-South Carolina game. It's gonna be pretty chilly, but Peyton is back in town to get his # retired, so the place will be going nuts for that, its on ESPN2 so check it out, I'm sure they will show the ceremony, it's pre-game.

Other than that, my only big problem right now is with nba 2k6, for whatever reason, whenever I try to play a game, my xbox goes nuts. When I'm actually playing a game, its fine, but whenever there is a foul, or a cut scene or a substitution, the disc drive just starts trying to rev up over and over again, I have no clue what to do. It makes the game unplayable, which is a shame because I absolutely LOVE the game. I dunno what to do, I dont know what's wrong with my box. It takes like honestly 30 seconds every time there is a dead ball and i'm almost pulling my teeth out over here. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: oh yeah, its not the disc either, it's clean as can be and I used a disc doctor just in case.

I don't know what it is w/ this monitor, but for some strange reason it shifts to the side and I have to manually shift it back to center the screen. Sometimes I reboot and it won't even center all the way. So I have to tinker w/ it. It is starting to piss me off. I didn't have this issue w/ the one I returned, go figure.

Congrats to your high school football team, hope they make it to states!

Haunted hayride? What is that?

Cool, didn't know Manning was getting # retired, I'll definitely have to check that out.

As for your NBA 2K6 lockups. Does this happen in Exhibition mode as well? Or is it just in franchise/season mode? It could be a corrupt save file. I've had to start seasons/franchises over on some games because of this sort of thing. When I create a new season/franchise, everything went away. Your save file could be corrupt. Of course if it's happening in Exhibition mode, then I don't know what to say.

It's happening online, and in quick play, but I haven't tried Association yet, I'll try that. Although in quick play, I have been using a roster save file from here at OS, I'll try that.

EDIT: Ok, just tried season mode, it's doing it there too. Oh well, looks like I'm gonna have to sell it back and just be dying for some 2k6 until November 22. Man this sucks.

Got a good 12 hours of sleep last night, so seeing the first Saw didn't affect me too much. I'll go see Saw 2 sometime after I turn 17(Nov. 7th baby) so I wont have to be all rebellious and sneak in.

I'm still pumped for the game tonight, despite the weather forcasts and the cold I have. It's gonna be a damn good time.

Watching football all day, I believe, cause there's not much else to do, really.

So you've unloaded all of your saves, not using a single saved roster, setting and/or well...anything? Just run a quick game from a new slate and you still get them? That really sucks bro, I don't know what else to say. You could always bring the CD to EB or GameStop and have them pop it into a drive and see if it does the same thing. Did it just happen all of the sudden or has this always been happening? When was the first sign of this happening, after you did a certain something?

I played a game of Blitz last night, then went to sleep relatively early. Slept in until about 8:40 this morning. I feel good.

UCLA plays Stanford today, so it's pretty much a game not worth watching. :y4:

Don't count your chickens before they hatch. I'll come back to this after the game.

tried starting a new season too, looks like I'm just out of luck. Maybe should I take it back to EB and get a new disk?

It wouldn't hurt, at least it would put your mind at ease and you can make a definitive answer if you bring back another CD w/ the same problem.

Go ahead.

I'll probably play a bunch of Blitz today, hoping to win the Division II Championship at some point.

your starting RB and his backup, your starting QB and his backup, along with your receiving core could go down in warmups.

What's up? Not a whole lot. I'm getting ready to head to my fiance's house to carve some pumpkins, have a bon fire, and just spend some quailty time. I don't have any game systems at the present, just going crazy waiting for the 360 to drop.

Spent a lot of the morning thinking about how to get my basketball team on track, and all of the fundamental drills they need to go through, and even a few simple plays that may help free up some shots. After getting beat 44-4, I'd say that they need all the open looks they can get :y4:

Other than that, I'm not doing a whole lot. Just looking forward to the bon fire and pumpkin carving.

Drew and Markey won't go down, Olson won't go down, if our receivers went down...it wouldn't really matter.

abates, the line is UCLA -7. That is insane, UCLA should work Stanford, I mean..THEY LOST TO UC DAVIS!

Yeah. The thing is tho.... For my setup, I just use my PC and use my PIP for the TV in the corner. On a regular TV set, you have to run 2 sets of cables into your box. Then you can watch TV on one channel, then another channel in the PIP box. If you only have 1 cable run, the PIP won't work, because it needs to grab the 2nd picture from that extra set of cables. I only use my PIP for use when I'm typing away on the computer. I can work on some things and still watch TV in the corner w/ only 1 set of cables. Hope that makes sense.
