Play the trumpets, one mouse is dead. I woke up this morning tired as hell, but my eyes opened up quickly as I saw a mouse in one of my traps. I'm not embarrassed to say, I celebrated with a "HELL YEAH!". It was kind of funny to see. His head was in the trap and all of his legs were spread out beside of him, almost as if he were frozen. I'll keep the traps around and see if there are any more, from what I've read from you guys, I'm going to expect them.

I went down to GameStop last night and placed some more money towards my Xbox 360, Madden, Live and NBA 2K6. They are now claiming that I "might" be able to get one on launch, they still haven't heard how many they'll be receiving, I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed. I'm still going to mosey on over to Walmart and wait in line with a few hundred, I'm sure of it. I just want to make sure I get one for launch, it's going to kill me to read impressions from the games and not be able to play it.

Looking at the AP Top 25 College Football poll, there are still 6 undefeated teams left. VA Tech (who won convincingly last night), USC, Texas, Georgia, Bama (No offense BK) and UCLA. Who is going to lose first? How many undefeateds will we have at the end of this year? I see the Dukies have the #1 spot in the preseason ESPN/USA Today Coaches' poll. UConn, Texas, Nova and Michigan St. round out the top 5. I can't wait for the season to start, can't wait to get my grubby little hands on the beta copy of College Hoops 2K6 either!

Enought about me, what's up with you? Are you ready for the weekend?

Hey guys,

Congrats on getting your first mouse kill, Steve! Hopefully you're able to get the rest soon.

As for me, I had a pretty slow evening after work yesterday. I'm still sore and tired from my hockey game Wednesday night. Being out of shape really sucks, but hopefully playing once a week will help fix that. Got home yesterday, and watched a couple more episodes of Firefly on DVD. I'm really liking that show. After that, I hopped on the PC for some Call of Duty 2. Played through the first few Russian campaign missions. So far, the game is even better than the original. Although, some of the soldiers' dialogue is repeated quite often. So far, I've heard my fellow Russian conscripts say "How does it feel to die on the Russian front, Facist?" at least 100 times when attacking German positions.

Leaving at 5:00 today to head on down to College Station. This will be the first time I've been this year when I didn't leave right after the game, so I'll actually be able to go out and have some fun, instead of just driving down, going to the game, and coming back. I expect to be at the Dixie Chicken with a beer in hand by 8:30 tonight. Then tomorrow, the Aggies take on the Iowa State Cyclones, which should be a pretty good game. Both teams are kinda struggling to produce some consistency, and trying to get enough wins to make a bowl game. A win for A&M means bowl eligible, while ISU still needs 2 wins.

Well, that does it for me for now. Time to get to do some actual work for a while.

Congrats about the kill, Steve. That reminds me of this one episode of "Dirty Jobs" I watched, where the host tagged along with this exterminator guy who took himself ENTIRELY too seriously.

He rode around in a black pickup truck, was dressed like a S.W.A.T. team member, but killed rodents and bugs for a living. Rrrrrrrrrright.

Anyway, I'm back at work after 2 days of being sick at home. I know, it's Friday and I should've just went ahead and taken today off so I could string together 5 consecutive days off of work, but I was getting bored at home.

Tomorrow, I have a Fantasy Basketball draft. Sunday, it's on to my favorite sports pub, "Four Play", to watch some NFL action. Sunday night, my Bills get SHALACKED by the Pats. Wonderful.

What's up?

Watched Land of the Dead last night to get in the Halloween mood (I'm a horror junkie) and loved it. Great gore, and John Leguizamo was amazing as Chulo. Good gore flick and a fitting movie for the "Dead" series. I read a interview with George A Romero where he stated he has 6 movies in mind. As long as he doesn't "George Lucas" them, I'll be happy.

Tonight, I'm going to watch my undefeated high school ala mater try to finish the year 10-0. We're 6th in the Ohio AP polls, so it's pretty exciting around here. Tomorrow, we're going to some haunted houses and Sunday watching the Browns game over the in-law's house. Should be fun..

Halloween is Monday, always look forward to that. I love the whole spookiness of it, and it also is the gate towards the Christmas season, which I love. 11/1 lifts the no Xmas music/movie mortorium I place on my wife, otherwise she'd be watching/listening all year! We have a Christmas countdown that she begins on 12/26!!!

That's about all that's up with me.

HEADSHOT! It was good to get my first kill.

Do you have practices or do you just go out and play on game day? How organized is this league? Is call of Duty a lot different than Battlefield 2?

Have fun tonite!

I can only imagine how ignorant that guy was. You gotta make money somehow, right?

Good luck in the draft and yea...The Pats are probably going to murder the Bills, but you never know.

In your opinion, what is the goriest movie of all?

I'm going to try and find a haunted house this weekend as well and take my stepson. Should be good times.

What it do, what da bizness is!!

I also saw Land of the Dead yesterday, in fact me and ExtremeGamer watched it together. Seriously, it was a good movie. In fact, I've seen all 3, including the 2 old school originals just last week. My fav part in Land of the Dead has got to be when that one dude was about to throw a grenade, the chef zombie came and cut his arm off with the grenade attached, dude fell on top of the live grenade and blew up. LMAO. I had to rewind that one. Who in the blue hell thought of that kill.

Congrads Steve on the mouse genecide going on in your home. Those bastards can be pest but I think you need to get a cat to finish off the rest of the family. I've got 3 cats and occasionally I send them downstairs to see if they can corner the one we have but I think that mouse has some sort of Jerry from Tom and Jerry type of intellegence and make my cats look like fools. I've seen them pursue at times but they always end up staring at the wall waiting for him to emerge from one of the holes he creeps out of.

As for today, I'm heading to the Sox parade and rally at my lunch break today to see if I can get some glimpses of the team. I know LaSalle street will be jam packed today but hopefully I can elbow my way through the crowd. My gf is lucky however, her office is located on the same corner the rally is being held at. All she needs to do is turn a tv on and look right out the window. Right on the 3rd floor of the building so she has a perfect spot to watch. Meh, nothing like being with the crowd though with the excitment. Thanks to the parade, nobody should be doing any real work today so today should be a breeze.

Goriest... by far "Dead Alive" by Peter Jackson. Yes, that Peter Jackson. The lawnmower scene is a horror classic, as is the zombie baby being beaten on a playground swing. "Day of the Dead" isn't too far behind. Fulci's "Zombi 2" is pretty high up there too. Of course "Cannibal Holocaust" is quite gory. LOL

EDIT - How could I forget Evil Dead 2!!! It's my favorite horror flick!

I just went to a haunted house last weekend. It was'nt a kiddie place. This place was nuts. It had rotating rooms, sick and demented clowns with strobelights going off. Moving floors, 3D rooms, crawl through areas, and best of all, a mirror filled room with none other than Micheal Myers himself.

No practices, just games. It seems pretty well organized. Its at one of the StarCenters that are run by the Dallas Stars, so the facilities are pretty nice also.

Yeah, Call of Duty is quite a bit different. The single player game has 3 campaigns, Russian, British and American. In the original Call of Duty, you were an American Paratrooper in the 101st, a British Glider Commando, and a Russian Conscript. In CoD2, you are a Russian conscript again, starting in Moscow in 1941, then in Stalingrad in 1942. That's as far as I've gotten, but I know the British campaign is in North Africa, and the American campaign you are a U.S. Army Ranger and the first mission is the D-Day attack at Pointe du Hoc.

I haven't played multiplayer yet, but if its anything like CoD, then its objective based. Its not quite as fast as the BF series, and I don't think there are any vehicles. There weren't any in the original CoD. They did put vehicles in the expansion, but that kinda ruined it for me. When I get back from College Station on Sunday, I plan on trying out the multiplayer alot.

What's going on fellas....

I had an interesting day yesterday. First off I found out that one of my friend's grandfather passed away. I was very close with this friend when I was younger and the grandfather used to watch me all the time. I hadn't seen my friend in 5 years (since HS graduation) so going to the wake last night wasn't the best way to catch up with him finally. I hate wakes, they're so awful. At least this one was easier because he was older and everyone knew it was coming (pancreatic cancer).

After that my father and I went to the local Chamber of Commerce's Oktoberfest at this resturant. It was awesome!! Free Guiness all night long and German food that was very good. One of our co-workers who's a bit odd (a 40 something guy who's never been married and kinda fruity) got pretty damn drunk. He was drinking beer outta a straw and giving out High-5's left and right.

But the best part, I won the raffle and got $100!! There were about 120 people in there and amazingly my ticket got drawn. Even better was the fact that they usually do a 50/50 raffle but since we're entering the holiday season they figured they'd give all of it to the winner. GREAT way to start my weekend!!

Just got a few more hours of work to get through today then I'll be the happiest person in the world.

HAHA. No way I get a cat, I actually hate them. Not exactly even sure why I hate them, but I do.

Get some pics of the parade for us! Sounds like good times.

That's what I'm talkin' about! I doubt we have any like that around here tho. I'd love to go to one like that tho.

Isn't it odd to just go out and play w/ your team w/ no practices? How is the rhythm of your team? I'm guessing it will just take a few games to get to know how everyone plays.

CoD sounds interesting, if I had the time, I might have to pick it up. Have fun!

Congrats on winning the money! You puttin' it down on a 360?

Rent Evil Dead 2 at least, it's a cult, horror classic. Sam Raimi's masterpiece.

"Dead Alive"... wow... that brings back memories. I remember that was billed as "The Goriest Movie in History". The lawnmower scene was a movie blood masterpiece.
