Bah. I'm still fuming at the conservative play calling from the Cowboys. Seriously, how can they go from a dominating aggressive gameplan against the Eagles, to just plain awful and conservative against the Giants last week and the Seahawks yesterday. The missed FG by Cortez absolutely ripped my heart out, but the defense that played so well the entire game, showed again that they can't stop a team when it counts. It's a good thing the Boys won the toss last week in OT or they'd be sitting at 3 and 4, but instead they sit at 4-3 and with a win next week against the Cardinals will sit at 5-3 going into the bye. I'm not guaranteeing a victory by any means, but if this team wants to compete for a playoff spot, they win this big game at home against the Cards. I'll be fuming about this loss for a few days, especially when they lose the way they did. You know what makes it worse? The Giants, Eagles and Skins all won their games, so the Boys go from 1st place in the division to last. Lovely.

Oh well, yesterday wasn't all bad. I returned my monitor for another and everything looks perfect. I don't see any blurry text now and no dead pixels! None! I had 3 of them on the other one. I can't wait to get the cables and see how the HD looks on this thing.

Enough about me, what's up with you? Do the Astros have what it takes to win the series being down 2 games to none?

I am literally and utterly disgusted by the performance by my Buffalo Bills yesterday. I can handle it if my team is just beaten because they're not as good as the other team, but what I can't handle is when my team loses because they didn't play as hard.

Anyone who watched that Bills-Raiders game yesterday can tell you that the Bills defense just flat out quit. They gave it up when they went down by 14 points in the 2nd half, and as a result, the Raiders ran ALL OVER them.

I've never been so upset and MAD at the Bills as I am today. I know people often times threaten to "write a letter", but I seriously am contemplating doing just that. THAT is how upset I am with that team.

Other than that, out-friggin-STANDING game last night between the Sox and 'Stros. Chicago has this one, no doubt about it.

Too bad about Clemens though. 2 innings in the World Series isn't enough.

I'm still pissed that John Vaughn missed 5 field goals against LSU on Saturday, now I have to listen to a bunch of bama fans talk trash all week.

So far today has been pretty decent....

- Been off school all day since I have a spare in every class

- Went window shopping all morning

- going back to school to meet my girlfriend

- doing homework with friends later tonight

- study for kinesiology test tomorrow

- Giants come back and win it!

Steve,
This is a hallmark of the Bill Parcell system. Remember every team he has coached has ALWAYS had games that were like this. I know the man is a good coach, but his conservative approach to things really frustrates me. ALthough I am a Raider fan, the Cowboys are the team of my youth as I was a kid in TX in the 70's. Yesterdays loss, and the Redskin loss are directly attributable to the conservative stlye of offense Bill Parcells has been employing for years. To me, it shows that he doesn't trust his players to make plays on the field, so he has to control as much of the game as he can. I wonder if he could ever deal with a QB like Peyton Manning?

I am old school football from back in the day when QB's and LB's controlled the games. Ever since the games have been taken from the players and given to coaches and coordinators, I haven't looked at the league the same since.

I understand it's the hallmark of his system. But why change gameplans from the Philly game? They were aggressive and it worked, now for 2 straight games they are too predictable. It just pisses me off, hopefully he'll get back to being aggressive against the Cards, because if they lose to them, they don't deserve a shot at the playoffs.

Steve, I'm right there with you on the Cowboys. 2 games in a row now where the defense has dominated for 55+ minutes, only to give up a late tying TD. And Cortez is just plain awful. How is this guy better than Cundiff? The conservative gameplan did drive me nuts, but it should have been enough to win the game. Cortez makes that 29 yard field goal, and unless Seattle kicks and recovers an onside kick after the TD, game's over, 13-10 Dallas.

I'm just happy the Ags hung on for a win at K-State. They sure made it interesting at the end, though. Playing ISU at home should be a win, but it depends on which A&M shows up, as we've been a multiple personality team all year so far. I'll be at the game, so hopefully we've got good weather.

I am continually impressed with Baylor. They should have beaten us in College Station, and came pretty damn close to beating OU in Norman. They are no longer an easy win on the schedule and are no longer the doormat of the Big 12.

After watching that FG that Cortez missed, it really looks like someone might have tipped that attempt. I've put it in slow mo and it really does look like someone got a finger on it. But there are no excuses, the Boys should have put it away twice after HUGE turnovers, and instead came up w/ 3 points. That's not going to win a lot of games. Hell, if Key didn't make that spectacular catch early in the game, the Boys may have been looking at 9 points total.

I'll be raging about this one for a few more days.

That was unreal. I'd still take that kicker over Cortez tho.

Well my car wne tinto the shop yesterday, so I;m using my Dad's car(which is a good thing)

Uh...have a lot of work to do for school in the next two weeks.

Just finished my college application process, turned in my final four this morning. Such a relief to know that all 6 applications are done and I don't have to think about them until I see the envelope from their school in December.

Oh and can't forget...

TEXAS is Numero Uno in the BCS...woooo

Today is a gloomy day outside, chance of flurries in the Cleveland area, no accumulation though. Give us 3 more weeks until that happens! I can't concentrate at work, just looking at the ceiling or the web.

Browns, well, they still suck. I think it's a rule that Ohio football teams have to run the boring and slow offense as their offensive scheme. The Buckeyes at least put up some points this weekend. Browns however lose to the Lions, that wouldn't bother me if it wasn't for Garcia, I don't think I've ever hated an NFL player more than him. He was such an ahole when he was in Cleveland.

Battlefield 2 comes out this week, excited for that. Got to play a 360 at Walmart, even more excited for that. Feel I made the right decision to go with just the Xbox 360 and not get a PS3. I don't thing there will be many if any games that will be Sony exclusive that I can't get for the 360. And the 360 just seems on course and has the future planned. Where Sony seems to still have no vision on the PS3.

Still playing my DS a lot, glad I sold my PSP as the DS is truly a great device. If you ever listen to Major Nelson's blogcast, he just got a DS and loves the thing. I have to agree with him 100%, the system is so good. It's not going to win any graphics awards as every PSP game will blow it out of the water. But for fun, pick up and play games, the system can't be beat, and that's all I really want out of a handheld.

Niners lose again, bad! Its a race between the 49ers and Texans for the #1 pick. Wouldnt mind the 49ers getting Reggie Bush, they need an explosive playmaker on the offensive side of the ball. Even if they dont get the first pick and end up with #2, they could still end up with Bush. They last game of the year between the 49ers and Texans could be to see who gets the first overall selection in the NFL Draft.

The Baylor Bears...What can I say, Guy Morris finnaly has a good product on the field. Their 4-3, but with two overtime losses. One in which they dominated A&M and should of came away with a win and one where the almost went to Norman and defeated a strugglin OU team (they still are a better team then Baylor) It would be something if Baylor would of have won both of the overtime games, or at least one. I still think a Bowl game is possible, but its going to be tough. OU and Nebraska were needed wins. Baylor will not beat Tech and will not beat Texas, so it leaves them needed to win their last two games agains Mizzou and Ok St. The OK St game THEY should win. So a 5-6 record will def be nice and hopefully a steping stone to better recruits and a bowl game next season.

Blitz The League...what a great job Midway did with this game. I was very skeptical about picking this up, even with the positive feedback from the forum members, but they persuade me into picking it up and im so glad I did. One word to discribe this game FUN! You can sit back, not worry about anyhting and just have a fun quick game of football. Great job fellas.

Its World Series time and the NBA will be tiping off soon and for about the thrid stright year give or take..I could care less. Growing up, I followed the three major sports closely as possible. But more and more each year, intrest in MLB and the NBA has faded. I dont think I watched one full game of Major League Baseball this year (might of watched more softball and little league baseball) and to be honest, I only watched a handful of NBA game before the playoffs last year. My love for football though, grows stronger and stronger each passing year.

Christmas is almost here, no not the one in December, but the Night I get to stay up late and wait in line for Santa Gates to deliver my XBOX 360. There is something special about waiting in line for a new system or video game that everyone wants. I still remember the day I stood in line for my PS2 at Wal-Mart, clocked in around six and half hours, got home and played into the wee hours of the morning. I plan on doing the same this year.

Well, today the school week started again, so waking up was a drag. School was boring as usual, with nothing big happening.

It started to sprinkle/rain, so I'm happy about that because I enjoy the rain. It also leads to offering girls rides home who don't have a ride.

Regarding football yesterday...this is all I need to say:

I'm Ron Burgundy, go **** yourself San Diego!

Yeah, you really narrowed it down there.

One hot girl?

You probably mean Caylee..and I barely see her at school anymore. We had classes together freshman and sophomore years, but not this year.

Yeah caylee...that sucks man, sorry about that.

I'm sure you got 8x as many hot girls as my school...although you have seen some of the hot ones

I didn't see that. Just looked like he flat hooked it to me, but I don't have Tivo, so I can't go back and look. Plus, did you see him look at Romo gesturing like it was a bad hold? Looked like a good hold to me. You can't miss a 29 yard field goal for any reason, and it shouldn't be blocked unless someone misses a man completely.

Agreed.

Now we'll have to bite our fingers w/ a new kicker, since Cortez is gone.
