We have just posted some more screenshots from our beta copy of NHL 06.
"With NHL® 06 players can score like a superstar, express themselves through their shooting style with the new EA SPORTS Skill Stick and light the lamp with highlight reel moves such as spinoramas, toe drags, bat-ins, and between-the-legs shots. Classic deke control adds to the arsenal of moves allowing maneuvers around defensemen before snapping off dangerous shots that can ripple the twine and knock the water bottle off the net."

I'll be posting an impressions thread in the EA Sports NHL Forum later tonight. Keep an eye out for it and post your questions at that time.

GREAT! I'm really looking forward to your game play impressions. Could this be the year for EA's NHL?

On a related note- what EA forum exactly are you referring to? Please post a link here to that forum so I can look for it. Thanks!

Official XBox Magazine gave NHL 2006 an 8.8. The reviewer stated that the game boasts the best graphics in the series' history and the gameplay is excellent....Sounds promising...

Sorry guys, a ton of things came up today and I won't have a Q&A up tonight. I will post a full game movie clip tonight though. It's uploading now.

Did they review NHL 2k6 as well? If so what did it get and what did they say?

In addition to Q&A are you planning to post a mini-review or sorts or provide detailed impressions? Thanks for the movie clip. It gives a good feel for how the game plays. I'd love to see the same for NHL 2K6 when available.

I thought that NHL 2006 in the movie clip looked pretty robotic as far as the player movements went. Way too many one timers. And lots of back and forth, and easy break outs - very arcadey - more so than I would have thought. Had some good elements in it as well, but was not as refined as I would have thought. For example, every pass was completed tape to tape at blistering speed, with no missed passes. Robotic in that way as well. At any rate I'm looking forward to Steve's impressions.

Also Steve do you know if/when you may get a beta copy of NHL 2K6?

Thanks.
