Loaded Inc. has posted their review of World Championship Snooker 2005 for the PS2, giving it a rating of 50/100.
The snooker World Championship is open to players from all over the globe. The sport forever associated with dark halls and cigarette smoke is massively popular in south-east Asia as well as its home grounds. It is a sport with international appeal but a very local focus; hence, at the top echelons, snooker’s world is predominantly Welsh, English, Scottish, Irish and Northern Irish. As I write these words, a new star called Sean Murphy is battling with Welshman Matthew Stevens for a quarter-million UK pounds (around half-a-million dollars). This is not bad money for pushing some balls around a table with a chalked cue. For those of us lacking the perseverance, personality and prowess to make it to the World Championship Finals, our loyal game console gives us a chance to pretend.
