Kudos to the NBA for not making this deal exclusive to just one gaming company.

Too bad the others couldn't do the same.

No Ubisoft, I have been hoping for a return of Inside Drive ever since they bought the MS licenses

Well .... if the deal is non-exclusive, Ubisoft can get a deal later. They probably just weren't ready to ink anything yet.

Ubisoft probably isn't interested in the NBA deal. Remember, they are making an AND1 basketball game.

If they don't bring back ID, I'll be thoroughly disappointed.

Good deal for the NBA. They did'nt sell out to the highest bidder. So I guess that means we still have some BBall titles to look fowards to. What sport is next....Golf??

EA has owned the exclusive PGA rights for ahwile now, long before the NFL deal. Same with NASCAR and FIFA.

NHL, I suppose, is the last "major" sport to be heard from.

As of 2 months ago I know EA was talking with the NHL about getting an exclusive liscense. I don't have an update about the situation though.

No multi-console sport game has a bigger gap in quality (ESPN vs. NHL) than hockey.

What does this mean? Does it mean that they just bought the license like they do every year?

The NBA is much wiser as a whole.. They actually understand the wants/needs of the gamers unlike the NFL..
