PSX2 has posted their review of NBA Street V3, giving it a 9 out of 10.
"Make no mistake, this is definitely a game that can quickly have you addicted; it's clean, fast, plays incredibly well, and uses the right analog stick in an intuitive yet flexible way. Everything that the past games did well, this game does better, and with more depth to boot. If you even watched someone play one of the first two games and thought "hey, that might be kinda fun," well, it is, and you need to get out there and buy this game."

Ah, it just seems like more of the same old, same old with me. NBA Street, and even NFL Street, are starting to grow stale. I'd like them to come up with something innovative, before I think about purchasing either version in the future.

I keep thinking that this sounds fun, then I realize all the Street games have been fun - for a week or so. The NBA games tend to get uniform 90% scores, but I don't think most reviewers take longevity into account.

exactly...I played NBA Street v2 constantly for a week and a half, and then shelved it...same with NFL Street. These games are fun but have no longevity. I've stopped getting them because of this fact.

I didn't like either of the first two NBA Streets, but for some reason really loved V3 when I got to play it this weekend. I'm not sure if it'd have the lasting appeal to make me keep wanting to play it since I was only playing it for a few hours at a friends house, but I know I've had the urge semi frequently so far this week. Luckly I just pop in MVP and let that scratch my gaming itch, but I'll probably pick up V3 at some point.
