Top Spin 2K25 releases this week, and so we wanted to group a lot of the “need to know” info in one spot. TopSpin 2K25 is set to launch on April 26 (early access on April 23) on just about every console other than the Nintendo Switch (it will release on PC), so this release is right around the corner.

Roster & Venues
2K has given out the official roster of women, men, and legends in the game:
- Men: Andy Murray, Ben Shelton, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Frances Tiafoe, Matteo Berrettini, Taylor Fritz
- Women: Belinda Bencic, Caroline Wozniacki, Coco Gauff, Emma Raducanu, Iga Swiatek, Karolina Pliskova, Leylah Fernandez, Madison Keys, Naomi Osaka, Paula Badosa, Sloane Stephens
- Legends: Andre Agassi, John McEnroe, Maria Sharapova, Pete Sampras, Roger Federer, Serena Williams, Steffi Graf
You can create players, but the two big issues with the roster here are you can’t add the created players into the career mode, and there is no share feature to swap created players with others around the world. In our opinion, this is one of the biggest issues that will hurt the longevity of the game.
On the venues side of things, we’re getting all four majors this time around as Top Spin 4 did not have Wimbledon back when it came out in 2011. This makes sense since it appears the career mode will be about winning the career Grand Slam. Overall, there will be 48 unique courts and 15 real-life venues. You will also have three different times of day to play for the outdoor venues.

Game Modes
As you would expect from a 2K game, the biggest focus appears to be MyCareer. This fuses together to start with the TopSpin Academy, which is the tutorial more or less that will be guided by John McEnroe. Signature style will be added throughout the cycle it seems, but there will be some signature styles you can associate with your created pro right from the jump.
Your journey during your career will be to go for the career Grand Slam.

Online play also seems to be a major focus, with 2K Tour being their spin on this mode with new daily objectives and things to do to climb the leaderboard. There is support for up to four players online (and locally), cross-platform play, but no inviting friends as of now. As usual, there will also be a Season Pass, which is called the Centre Court Pass this time around.
Gameplay Video
The preview event 2K held did allow gameplay capture, and you can find lots of gameplay on YouTube. That said, the best piece of footage we’ve personally found comes from Gamersyde as it shows off the TopSpin Academy tutorial, and then also showcases normal, hard, and very hard difficulty gameplay segments.
We also now have the game and our review will be out next week, but we can say for sure the developers took a lot from Top Spin 4 (which isn’t a bad thing). They were even clear about saying that they went back to Top Spin 4 and tried to bring as much of that gameplay into their new engine as possible to use as a base for TopSpin 2K25.
