The Corner: Because every one has one.
If its on or around the corner its here...

people on this forum know how much I have protested in the past 2 years how the "little" things leave a great effect on people. now the uniforms are still in need of work because of major errors from left and right. But it has been said before that if the playoffs feel like playoffs? then you will feel the atmosphere. its not perfect but its getting there. For just a simple year of change? this is impressive.

Seeing my favorite team's superbowl endzone? makes me continue to play through the franchise.

with alot of negatives, i must say that the superbowl logos on the jerseys? minus the ones with the captain logos? its great..

June 25th 2009 saw the end of an era. The music world lost probably one of it's most talented sons last Thursday when News came over the radio and tv mentioning that Michael Jackson died of a Heart attack. The subsequent news came in allowing just a shock that came over the media world and the world that heard and was influenced by his music.

Since the 1982's Thriller, Michael Jackson had over millions and millions of album sales and an arm full of grammys. His craft as a musician influenced tons of musicians and left a imitation for almost everyone to follow. His achievements included being the first African American to appear on MTV. This allowed many doors that even in the 80's were still closed.

Of course these few days have been dark as this world has lost not only a man who was original in his music but just a musical talent that is not seen these days especially in a society where almost every other song that comes out sounds almost the same every single time.
To add, I would be lying to myself if I did not say that his music did not effect me in any way. ever since I was a toddler to tape Moonwalker, I was introduced to the "king of Pop". I came during the era in which his music videos would appear at night at 8pm on fox.

Everyone who knows of Michael Jackson has a different way to remember him. Some remember the Little boy, who's lead singing of a group of 4 young men just moved any place they were. Or the young man who stepped out on his own to make what would be the most legendary career that human ears and eyes would hear and see. Others tend to remember him for his tabloid actions that raised eyebrows and made shoulders turn cold.

I tend to remember not the man for his antics or his tragic death but rather for his life in his known works of art. His art was the genius of his music and his blazing trail he left in the path of those who were waiting to be inspired and feel the joy of expressive music. His music influenced the way I look at life. When I hear "human nature" I simply feel the way of life being explained to me in an everyday fashion.

I always say that things that are true stand the test of time no matter what. That even though the person passes away, their ideas, their works, and their influences lives on. One of my favorite artist Michaelangelo once said "Genius is eternal patience". And nothing can be more true when looking at this mans work of art. It cannot be debated when saying this man's impact lives on even when the seasons change, the sky turns colors and the sun sets and rises.

the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.-Job 1: 20-21

Safe travel back home Michael. Your musical talents won't be forgotten down here.

This year of football gaming has seen it
s most changes in quite some time. I managed to take notice of designers like Ian Cummings, who made an effort to not only communicate but manage to bring himself to the forums with transparency and an open mind to progress madden 10 along the way that needs to be in order to appeal to the consumers mind.

With this being said, the road is still long and perfection is always in short when dealing with anything in life. I have found my self proud of the efforts done when communication and managing a healthy transfer of effort and necessary steps to make a product that is not perfect but rather show the way of how other programmers and companies alike should work with their customers.

this will be a ongoing series of why I as a consumer...
apparently lack luster games allow this to live on and rise from the ashes like a phoenix. So i caught wind of the ncaa 10 demo coming out today. I get off of work and I managed to get home and download this "new game" apparently it struck me as deja vu because haha for the life of me it feels like I have played this game before maybe in another year. perhaps. july 08? maybe?

um...yeah so I downloaded this game to find out what people were talking about. Take this as no offense. This is by far the worse football game I have ever downloaded and tried. This is plainly ncaa 09 with a few upgrades here and there. Not even as far as innovative as madden 10 will be and involved. Now that this has been covered let me explain the reason why,

For starters ever since the rosters were messed up and other things that are just a snowball to roll down the hill as a avalanche.

-No refs on the field
- the same unrealistic running animations(momentum?)
-the same commentary from ncaa's past
-players running through walls?
- Lack of innovation in presentation?

you know what after this I may never get again a EA person to talk to me on this site. I don't care. If you get offended by this thread and your with EA and the group who made ncaa 10 you know what? guilt by association. This is pathetic and the fact that you guys want someone to shill out $60 for this drek you should be ashamed of yourselves.

that is all.

it's been a while since I darken the blog sphere. but after many times of research I found myself pleased with the progress of this game.

The first thing I found was the fact of purchase was broken into 3 things.

1. listening.

2. using the consumer's advice

3.allowing consumers to voice their opinions and even use them!.

these things I found to be the most important factor for me to get the right to allow me to be cleared for purchase. they have proven to me that they listen to the consumer's request and this has been the philsophy for quite some time.

for the consumer, by the consumer.

Figured to drop by and voice how I feel about the consistent change EA and the consumers are doing which is good and provides a well balanced communication system.

communication over the months have paid off I Feel. By Ea allowing its customers the right and the ability to convey information and communicate within one another back and forth allows a system in which is progressive and this method is something worth taking notice of for other companies as well in the gaming business and other outlets as well. Especially if it needs to be in order for things to come through the way they should.

This all together shows how communication and transparent information is not only helpful but rather progressive for consumers alike.

during my time in college or w/e I am growing a love for billards...however, would it transfer well into a ea sports or 2k sports title? maybe a 30 year career? if they could have a game on horse racing there could definitly be a billards game.

food for thought..

As some may know on this forum I love football uniforms and throwbacks..Including especially NFL uniforms which only lasted one game..Such as the browns white on brown pants or even going back prototype uniforms such as the saints gold on black.
Well this one is no different as covered courtesy of http://www.uniwatchblog.com/

Follwing the cleveland browns 1984 uniforms used for only one preseason game...check here http://www.huntauctions.com/online/i...items_list.cfm

I grew fustraited over the two years with Next gen madden giving me the only options of making new stadiums for teams baring I moved them...But what if madden goes back to it's roots from last gen and pretty much makes the option of bulding new stadiums for my team? Not a far fetch thought I say...I want to get that nastalgic feeling of going bankrupt for builing a multipurpose stadium again like in madden 05(because I could not manage money again)....I wish these days would come back but be a little bit kinder towards me this time around...

Weird question I know but If you have been around these forums lately you have notice since last year on almost all the civilized forums that developers such as Ian cummings, Phil and the rest discuss with the fans concerning what to make madden new. But the question raised is how different is this madden to come different from any other? well the one difference is democracy. Thats right democracy and apparently with this interaction and using the choice of the gaming people's voice it has began to bring new light in the EA community and with the people. Because of this it has become apparent that this is change and change is good especially since what has happened in the past 4 years. This has become a madden democracy and the people have at least some hope to rejoice. Keep the hopes up that change is coming.

Ever since madden 2001 I have found my self scratching my head looking at m&tbank stadium with it right in my homestate of maryland I notice the errors of the way madden inteperet the very stadium my ravens played in. With other stadiums as well noticed i figured to take one that is close to home.

M&TBank stadium noticed error: scoreboard

Uniquely this main feature in the ravens stadium was the first of it's kind. However the error in the stadium in madden is a score putter in the the led screen which is not there in real life as shown in the picture.

If anyone else wishes to continue their errors of their own stadiums I wish this to become bigger than just this but this has been an issue with this stadium since madden 2001 on ps2 and needs to be addressed. If professionals do happen to catch this I prefer a website by the name of http://www.stadiumsofnfl.com/ they are a tremendous site where you can also (*hint*hint) maybe find concepts for new stadiums.

Over the years playing NFL 2k5 and madden titles I figured that one of the things that was confusing was always selecting a uniform in next gen..It took me a while to find a good solution to this and I had it when Ian made the thread concerning a throwback. While I understand this is not NFL 2k5 I always believe that just because the wheel has been invented does not mean that you can't still put rims on it. I loved the way 2k put the years under the uniforms..not only did this help with access but also taught some brief NFL history to the gamer. What I see is they should build on this by going back to the visual throwbacks seen in madden 2002-2006 ps2 and xbox with the years under the uniforms when selected like NFL 2k5.

example..If I wanted to select the Baltimore colt's 1983 throwback I would not know that if I just selcted Colts throwback instead a view of the uniform and the year underneath it.
