Developer Dave Horn revealed today that an upgraded version of Action Arcade Wrestling 2 is coming to a "yet-to-be-announced platform that's actually capable of properly running [the game]." The enhanced port promises "more moves, more matches, no skipped animation triggers (the reason for most of the bugs), direct texture import (no customizer needed) and more!"
Programmer Ujen Tchoukhrov of VICO Game Studio, who has previously worked on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Gears of War 3, and Crytek's CryEngine3, will be co-publishing the upcoming Action Arcade Wrestling 2 re-release.
Additionally, sales from the upcoming Action Arcade Wrestling 2 reissue will be used to fund a sequel, which if possible, will be rebuilt for the next generation consoles. No timetable has been set for the future port or the potential sequel.
Action Arcade Wrestling 2 was originally released on July 29 through the Xbox 360 Indie channel. Read Operation Sports' full written review for an evaluation of Action Arcade Wrestling 2's current in-ring performance.
