I'm gonna hype it cause I think they took a big step in the right direction. We'll see if they revert back to their old ways. For all we know the ref thing could be smoke n mirrors do distract us till they release the big info. I'm really anxious to see what they did with the engine having it under their belt a full cycle. I agree with the poster about the commentary except Simms won 2super bowls with the giants...that's not nothin

If they make weight, strength and which player gets lower matter in o-line/d-line play, you know, realistic trench battles, especially in short yardage runs up the middle, after all, games are won and lost in the trenches. Allow us to make o-line adjustments for each individual blocker, add dummy counts, make it where when a coach gets hired, the AI controlled team adopts his playbook and philosophy (may already have this, didn't play 13 much when I rented it) They could combine the NCAA franchise and Madden franchise, make them one game so that when my created coach has a bad couple of years and gets fired, he can coach college ball until he is ready to make a comeback also let us be coordinators when early in our coaching career until our created coaches have some sucess, allow us to edit players at the colleg level so we can update our rosters instead of buying a roster update with a few improvements every year, and give the devs more time to make a better game too; storylines would be better this way, and our drafts would be more true to life, add player of the game interviews instead of post game (Just so they can stand apart from NBA 2k), and yes let us answer questions in the interview not just show a player being interviewed, smooth out the infinity engine so players aren't falling over each other, I would rather the devs NOT spend any time putting the real referees in the game, (I heard they were working on this! heh heh, not innovative) Lastly, show some love to the offline gamer by letting us have multiple users in ccm like we used to in Franchise mode... If they do all this, the game would be deserving of a 10

However, what we will get is real refs, unis and stadiums for dlc, more ultimate team stuff, new menus and soundtrack.. They will likely spend most of their time improving online play, making it less cheesy so more of us will want to pay MS for a gold subscription. CCM will have a few improvments but due to ccm's low popularity, they may even revert back to Madden 12 franchise mode so there may be no innovation in this area. I like what ccm could be but they should've started working on it in like 2009 instead of making Head Coach. just not enough time left to make it great for our current consoles, i think.

This is why I gave it a 6.5 hype score and why it has an average of 5.5 .. At least they will make the infinity engine better, I think thats a must for most people but not enough for me to buy it on the 27th, maybe after the price drops.

I know they don't have enough time to do most of what I have listed, but had they not squandered their time early this generation because of the the license with the NFL they own and focusing on getting players to play online, the game and it's competition would be 9 or above and I'm not talking Game Informer scores (who gave a 9 to WWE 13, a game that freezes on me constantly, and most of the things that were advertised never worked right and when MLB 2k11 was released, Game Informer waited almost 2 weeks after it released before reviewing it) or the other paid journalist.

if the first "feature" to leak is possibly adding real nfl refs in the game.... all i got to say is , sounds like they plan to go back to their old school ways of copy n paste a new game and add a few little things that wont even be noticed after the first few times its played.... maybe they will add cheerleaders too..... while the AI and many other issues still hinfdering this game will go untouched. how about a completely RANDOMIZED DRAFT CLASS? by this i mean , have 30 draft classes, same names , but at the start of each different league , the game would randomize each attribute for each player. so that they are never the same from league to league? i know this could be done. they need to work on that, and work on having the game save the time, score, position on the field, and stats of ALL league/ccm games that get disconnected in anyway. then allow the game to be picked back up at the same place, same stats, same people hurt. these two things alone are much bigger issues .i dont care who the refs on the field are , if the gameplay still lacks what its been needing forever!

EA Sports needs to fix the comments that Phil Simms makes, because whenever i am playing. He seems to only pick out the bad things about each quarterback, which is fine in real-life but come on it is a video game. Also, just because he didn't win anything in his career, doesn't mean he should critique all the quarterbacks in today's game.

as long as little annoying things are removed from the game like the player falling just from running into his man.... how but him bump off a little so its easier to stay tight to a block then find your hole. i liked it a lil more on 12 as far as that. and run blocking if my tackle is a 90 and the man he is blocking is a 70 he should not be able to swim him like jj watt and mess my play up.
