The gameplay is easily the best it's been this generation. OTP is also excellent, and GameFlow is a great idea, but could use some tweaking (formation subs?). I was really disappointed there were no upgrades to online and offline franchise though, since those are the two modes I play the most. Especially after what NCAA did with their online franchise.

Some good things but at the rate they are going we won't have a awesome football game until 2015.

NO way this game gets over a 7. Its just laughable to me. Thats my honest opinion, and it wont change.

I'm enjoying this game but I'm still left longing for something more.

Maybe this game will get better with the patch, I really had high hope for it coming off Madden 10 which made huge strides in the right direction.

Online play took a step back, lag and quitters not getting a loss

Franchise was untouched

All new features seem to appeal to the casual fan.

Improved game play, so that is truly amazing. Decent commentary and great atmosphere in games. Now, they just got to fix game modes and tackling!

There's a lot to like about this years Madden, especially over last years game. Nut the 3 click kicking (which makes FGs far too easy and is too simplistic in 2010) and the D-Pad shifting bring the level of enjoyment down.

The outright removal of user stats for offline players (and this goes for NCAA also) is just a move that makes no sense on just about every level. I don't know if the dev team is just doing this without any regard for the consumers, or if they just don't care enough about the offline gamers anymore. It's got to be one or the other. Last year you had to go online to see offlne stats (and I use the term stats very loosely) and it was a broken mess. I played about 30 games total last year, and somehow I ended up 1-1-99! 99 tie games! instead of worrying about gameflow, how about they get back to basics and get some of the simple things right!

One last thing... It seems like they've begun to cut game stats for players after games down as well. I've noticed some stat omissions that border on the ridiculous. Madden has moved towards a more casual crowd, and left hardcore football and stat junkies in the casual gamers wake. NOT COOL.

I give it a 8.5. I really feel this Madden is heading in the right directions, and now its to a point that what needs fixing is a easy task.

Defensive coverage, and defensive players reaction is the main things that troubles this title.

This should be a easy fix, unless they over do it. Lets hope not.
