I can see people jumping aboard on this game because UFC 2010 was so disappointing this year, so people are hoping to get their MMA fix here, but I have to keep my expectations realistic for a newly created series. I haven't been to impressed with the gameplay footage either. When a strike connects, it sounds like someone is stepping on porcelain crates. I do like the submission system however....

I don't really see the market for 2 titles within this particular genre. Maybe EA have a long term goal of securing the UFC license.
As much effort as it seems EA are putting into the career mode I can't help but feel the success of this game will be more down to the execution of the ground game. As a casual player of the UFC series I enjoy the stand up fighting aspect but once it goes to the ground everything starts to feel a bit frantic & somewhat random.
If EA don't get the ground game right then MMA will just be Fight Night with kicking.
