On PS2 I give it a 9 bcuz theres no slam dunk contest and theres no 2k reelmaker, its only on ps3 and xbox 360 so i give them both a 9.5.

Next year they should have roster updates for normal play, cuz this year its only for online play,
and next year nba 2k9 is only on xbox 360 and ps3, they should do like ea games and have nba 2k9 on all platforms or most of them.

best gameplay, audio, and atmosphere in basketball. still could get a little better in graphics. But still 5 years better the NBA Live

now if we could trade the legend players and had some historical teams that would be great

Every year 2K delivers an excellence performance on the hardwood and this year is no different!

A very good game, and the best NBA game available, by far. However, it definitely has room for a lot of improvement, especially in the presentation area. Still a very fun game, though.

Presentation needs work, and the gameplay is not great but not as good as it could be.

While still the best pro hoops game on any console, this game seemed to take a step backwards in terms of presentation and graphics. It didn't seem as sharp as 2K7, and overall the level of presentation just seems mediocre.
It plays a great game of basketball however, and with the signature style it really has that NBA feel going for it.
Overall, ya can't go wrong with this game if you're an NBA fan. I hope they really amp up the graphics and presentation for next year.
