- 2-Minute drill
- Fumbles
- Passing Game is unrealistically easy
- Playbooks carry a strength factor that somehow determines how good a player is, poor choice imo.

+ Front office (contracts, negotiating, drafting etc.)

So I played one season on madden, and I'm already done with it because I'm a franchise kind of guy and its disappointing. Now I've had a chance to play hours and hours of Head Coach, and love it. Much more in depth than madden and definitely the game I'll be playing all football season and until March comes around and theres a new MLB the show.

Hope theres another next year too.

Great job on the review. I simply love the game. I plan on losing serious time this weekend playing it non stop.

A awesome game that has truly simulates what it is like to be a NFL Head Coach.

Favorite things about the game:

- Having a pre-season that actualy matters. Over the course of training-camp/pre-season players have to learn the playbook (or they screw-up their assignments), you have pre-season goals to accomplish (which are set by your players, owner, and staff), and most importantly you have to evaluate a 70 man roster and make weekly cuts.

- I also like that we can share user-created content; when you create-a-play there is an option to upload it online for others to use and vice-versa.

- Staff Developement. Aside from being a huge sports gaming fan, I'm also an avid fan of RPGS, and the way that you build and improve your staff is very similar to 'leveling-up' in RPG's. During the game your coaches gain skill points based on the performance of the players, then you can use those skill points to increase your coaches skills; it's very well done.

...This game does so many things right (don't even get me started on progression, the daily commentary from Adam Schefter, having to practice every-day, and the draft!), but to keep this short, I just chose three of my favorite aspects.

The only thing that holds this game back is the fact that it's built around the Madden'08 engine. It's obvious that the developers spent a lot of time tuning it...but there's only so much that can be done and it hurts the on-the-field experience for me at times; but it doesn't ruin it (thankfully).

All-in-all...This is the first next-gen football game that has met my expectations.

This game has absolutely blown me away. There are bugs, and it's not perfect, but this is the football sim I think that many of us football die-hards have been screaming for!

Easily the best football game ever, not for every gamer, you need to have an above average IQ and some real football knowledge to really appreciate what a wonderful game this is.

The draft is almost as fun as the real thing!
