I miss have the D-1AA (FCS) teams in the game. I also miss team creation and NCAA violations. Perhaps those things will make a return soon to the 'next-gen' systems. However, even with those omissions, I really enjoy this game. I still feel it's the best of the series to date.

The game is so visually pleasing -- It's the best football video game I've ever seen. The sounds, the stadiums, the players, uniforms, helmets, sidelines with security, menus, EVERYTHING is greater than the last NCAA game I played, which was NCAA Football 05. That in itself makes me want to play it all the time.

The game's really SOLE fault is the passing game. I've seen and heard different people talk about this, but the passing game is a little bit ridiculous in terms of how easy it is to complete pass after pass, and how difficult it is to defend against the pass.

The other frustrating thing (not so bad that it qualifies as a "fault") is that as vast and advanced as the X-Box 360 is, the NCAA Football 09 game on the 360 platform is missing some key "depth" elements that even the PS2 has. Things such as deeper recruiting details, additional trophies and most of all... STADIUMS, are not in the 360 version. It makes no sense to me that a superior system has to go with default versions of a bowl and double-decker stadium for numerous non-BCS stadiums when those same stadiums (Spartan Stadium, SJSU; Mackay Stadium, Nevada; numerous MAC stadiums) were in the older versions.

The running game is amazing with all of the new animations and combination of special moves. I also enjoy the mini games like special teams challenge and bowling. I set a couple of songs from my hard drive to play when something happens during the game (Custom stadium sounds) and it's just an awesome feature.

In closing, the only reason I didn't give this game a 10 was because of the passing game's overt uncontrollability. It looks amazing, it plays amazing, it sounds amazing... it is amazing.

The same game as last year with the same clunky gameplay mechanics... Doesn't have a good "feel" to it, amongst other things.

A dissapointment out of the box. Patches made it playable. First year I didn't buy NCAA Football since the ps1 days.

I was initially extremely disappointed with the prepatch gameplay. The inabilty to cover the receivers or get sacks made the game unplayable. After the patch the game was very good. The graphics and animations are very good. The key to this game is the presentation. The dynasty mode is excellent.

An ok game, but it needs a ton of work.
