Even post patch I was quite disappointed with this game. It was a drastic improvement over the pre patch game, but that's not saying too much. The CPU QB always threw too many interceptions, regardless of sliders. The presentation is still terrible. The radio announcer is not very good. With the right sliders, you can still get a decent, fun game. But for my taste, it's difficult to get a very realistic game, and that's what I look for in a sports game.

Finest Madden on next gen to date. I've put hours and hours into it. Not perfect, but pretty damn good.

Not the greatest game in the world, but I had some fun with it. Like the weapon system, but there's still a lot missing from this version.

It's better than 06 and 07, but still steps below what it should be. Hopefully Madden 09 can set the bar high.

With patches, updated rosters and correct sliders this game is one of the best!!!

Madden's "getting there". It's taken a few big steps this year towards regaining its title of Best Sports Game, but there's still a long way to go.
The game finally seems to be playing a better game of football, with better animations and transitions. There seems to be more variety in the tackling and feel of the way the game plays out.
There are, however, still many areas where Madden lacks- namely the presentation, atmosphere, depth, and authenticity (in some areas).
If the team at Tiburon can add some emotion to the game, ramp up the presentation to 2008 standards, and give gamers back the depth and functionality that we enjoyed on last-gen systems, Madden will be a tough game to beat.
With competition from All Pro Football and (soon to be) Backbreaker, the Madden team cannot simply rest on its laurels and "Licenses", they need to really step up to the plate.

I actually enjoyed this game quite a bit. Sure, there were some problems - there always are in every game - but the game, to me, was very entertaining and I really had fun playing it once I finally ended up buying it.

Another year of Madden. Would've gotten a 5 but I gotta give props for 60 FPs.

The PC version is better than the PS2
