Madden NFL 08 News, Strategy Guides, Screenshots & Videos

5 for the number of years before the NFL renews its license with EA again. Sad, but this game has really dropped the moral of this board and many Madden fans. This game has not only hurt its' sales but our self esteem. Peace.

The pre-patch Madden 08 was very frustrating to play what with the fumbles and interceptions. The post patch Madden 08 was much better than the pre-patch Madden but there were and are still some issues. The game really lacks life. The radio announcer needs to be eliminated and replaced with a broadcast team. I would like more variation in player models as well. The use of the ESPN license needs to be enhanced. I could go on.

Same game engine since 2000, no presentation, bad gameplay and etc.

I hope that they produce a quality game before I am too old to play it (lol). Maybe my great, great, grand-children will experience a quality football game from EA....MAYBE

Game is un inspired, seems new features added are not to improve "realism" on the field. Weapons, superstar,etc are touted as new features and while they may be new they fit nowhere in terms of the simulation of football. Features are "gimmicky" and obviously took focus off of bad and at this point 3 years bad gameplay.

Not nearly as bad as many say it is but there's still room for improvement.

The franchise glitch, the fumbles, and the high number of INTS thrown by the CPU ruined this game for me.

Supposedly, the game was better after the patch(es) arrived, but even then, the "next-gen" version was lacking too many features/gameplay elements (i.e. slide-protection, smart-routes, owner-mode, ect) that I had become accustomed to from the "last-gen" version.

Despite its flaws, Madden'08 made a lot of strides in the right direction and because of that, I think the future of the series is a bright one.

Looks fantastic....and that is about it.

Best one in the next gen series but that isn't saying too much. They have some good things to build off for 09.
