What was the best year of Pro Wrestling?

It has to be 2000 for me.
You had the real peak of the attitude era. A dominant set of main eventers including Triple H, Stone Cold, The Rock, Undertaker and Kane all at their absolute peaks, with a great undercard and back up eventers like Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit and so on. One of the key differences that made wrestling back then so much different to now was the portrayal of the under-card, the build that every division had. The 2012 tag division in WWE is absolutely abysmal, non-existant and virtually every match they put on is dead and buried before it even begins. Back then we had The Hardys, The Dudleys, T&A, Edge & Christian, Too Cool and so on - all capable of putting very, very good matches on.

What was the best year of WWF/WWE/TNA for you?

NWA 89 was awesome with Flair's feuds against Steamboat and Funk, Sting/Muta, and great tag teams like the Road Warriors, Varsity Club, and the Midnight Express, along with the formation of the Steiner Brothers.

WWE 92, 96, 97, 01 is too hard to pick from. 92 had my favorite Rumble, Bret's singles run, and more Flair greatness. 96 and 97 were a lot of fun with Bret/HBK and the rise of Austin, Mankind, and the Rock. 01 had my favorite WrestleMania, one of Austin's best years, the Angle/Benoit/Jericho feud, the Dudleys/Hardyz/E&C matches, the Austin/Angle feud, and capped off with Jericho finally winning the big one.

TNA 05 had Joe, AJ, and Daniels stealing the shows.

ROH 06 because of the incredible reign of Danielson and a great ROH vs CZW feud.

I would need to agree with you on this. The start of the TLC matches, 24 hour hardcore championship rule, the rise of the rock, mix in with rating wars that would eventually end WCW, and last but not least are the video games that came out around that time.

1997-1998. If you were a male between the ages of 18 and 28 (or around there) and you didn't at the very least casually watch the WWF and WCW and kinda know what the story lines were, you were viewed as a weirdo.

Yeah I would say mid 90s with the WWF doing well and WCW being at their peak

Fully agree. 1998 stood out as the best year to me as well. The year of one of the most well-known feuds between Stone Cold and Vince, and one of the most important ones as far as wrestling history goes.

Brilliant feud between Kane and Undertaker though it started in 1997.

Mike Tyson at Wrestlemania.

Plus one of the most memorable and best matches ever in Undertaker vs Mankind in Hell of a Cell.

I wish Vince McMahon could see the results of this poll. Everybody wishes we had the awesome storylines, angles, wrestling and 13 rated attitude we had back in the 90's. Wrestling isn't supposed to be for kids like it is today.

I feel like you should have done it by era.. it is so hard to pick a certain year. You put 2000 and up when the Attitude Era was 97-01 so almost every vote will go there lol.

Should've done 96 and below, 97-01, 02-07,08-present.

So many good things came from the attitude era that makes it impossible to pick any other "year".
